The Weapon of a Jedi: A Luke Skywalker Adventure is an upcoming novel by Jason Fry. It centers on Luke Skywalker and is set between Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The novel is part of the Journey to The Force Awakens series, so it will contain hints as to the story of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. It will be released on September 4th, as part of Force Friday.

In this story, set between Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke finds himself drawn to a mysterious planet, where he must use the Force to save a young girl—and survive in a dangerous duel against a strange new villain.

Previous information has also said that this novel will contain Luke's first real lightsaber duel (the one in the Skywalker Strikes comic arc was more of a lightsaber AHHHH RUN AWAY than a duel). I wonder who the strange new villain will be. Perhaps an Inquisitor?
