HOLONET ANNOUNCEMENT
THE WILL OF THE FARCE

The hand full of Ubiqtorate agents, playing the role of camera men for the night, scrambled around the set. They had a lot to double check on a last moment notice, which included a voice scrambler: the most common type of electronic bugging to tap calls. This one left the speaker with an androgynous voice, making it completely synthetic.

Today was the day the Ubiqtorate made their first big move against the Jedi and their Galactic Alliance pawn. This bold move was to be done under the leadership of the newly appointed Director of Imperial Intelligence: Aleron.

Aleron thought back on his life for a moment. He went from a GAIA agent, serving the needs of the Alliance people, to a man working directly under the Sith. How could it happen? It was simple: take away the grey from a mans sight and leave him with black and white vision. Aleron saw the universe a whole new way, and it was all thanks to a peculiar man named Thaed.

Aleron shook off his thoughts. They were not important. He needed to focus on the now.

Right when the clock struck midnight, the director held up his right hand and started to count down from ten.

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two...

The red light on the camera lit up, symbolizing that Aleron was on air. The screen flickered and a triangle “face” appeared in place of Aleron's picture. He lowered his head and fixed his silver eyes upon the teleprompter in silence, unable, now in the moment, to bring himself to speak. It wasn't out of fear, but something deep down that he couldn't put into words.

For some seconds only the sound of white noise played, then Aleron's muffled voice finally pipped up, "Dear people of the Alliance,

We are responsible for the recent attack on the Will of the Force, but we do not speak for the Sith," Aleron paused again, his muffled voice died away into the white noise. He wanted his words, his lies, to slither into the minds of the people who listened, and poison them.

Once he was confidant they had, he continued, "We know it will take proof for you to trust us, so we will provide it: there were five ships, five Dark Force users all using StealthX's, discharging shadow bombs.

To further prove our involvement, we will show a detailed plan of the attack, please take all the time you need to read it."

After a few flickers, the screen flashed detailed notes about the plan, over and over. It displayed fake documents with sketches, pictures, time stamps and purchase receipts for the StealthX's; almost everything imaginable was there for all the universe to gaze upon in disgust and awe. The only key information blacked out were the names of the pilots. No one needed to know that little bit, at least that's what Aleron thought.

"Today we have exposed the Jedi for what they're: war mongering conquerers who hide beneath a thin veil of what they perceive as justice."

Once again, the eerie white noise settled in. Aleron himself disliked the noise, it gave him gooseflesh. His pause dragged on for a painstaking amount of time, until the screen switched back to the odd symbol and stayed there.

"We did this to provoke the Jedi and show that they will take whatever bone thrown at them in order to wage war. We will continue to provoke both sides to manipulate events throughout the galaxy. Not under the farce of justice like the Jedi, or the thirst for power like the Sith, but to gain support for our cause.

By the will of Alldestroyer, we will bring Nothing to you all. We hope that you will one day understand what we mean, and see that this is the path the universe must take.

Now... you might wonder who we are, but who we are is not important... our message is. Remember it well, because we will speak again."

With two clicks, the broadcast ended.

Aleron sat back in his seat, crossed his legs, and smiled. His mirth returned as one man clapped, which was followed by the thunderous roar of cheers.

The Ubiqtorate's played their role in the emperor's plot...A last minute fabricated lie from within the Empire itself. It was Aleron's understanding that this lie would be used to spring a set of most deliciously devious events.
