Dantooine
Midday
Intro

A gentle breeze blew over the Dantooine hills, the wind creating ripples in the seas of golden wheat. Birdsong and crickets echoed through the outback. On the horizon, the Jedi Stronghold was just barely visible. AA guns towered into the sky, ready to protect the stronghold at a moment's notice. Ganden was not interested in centering himself in a place of war. The Jedi Knight had fought for several centuries. He had seen enough war rooms and battle maps. He enjoyed coming to a lone Blba Tree located on top of a hill in order to commune with the Force.

But this time, he came to the tree to wait. A nearby Kinrath cave was causing some concern for the Jedi. They were wandering farther away from their habitat, even attacking unattentive Jedi. Kinrath were territorial and largely stuck to their caves. They didn't bother passersby. Avoiding Kinrath attacks was as simple as not going into their caves in the first place. In their caves, Kinrath were dangerous, capable of poisoning a target with toxins or skewering them with a melee attack. Those wandering from their caves were looking for food and not interested in attacking people. For them to attack meant something was terribly wrong.

Ganden intended to watch the Kinrath activity and see what was causing them to spread out like that. The Jedi sat under the thick tree, a pot of tea sitting in front of him. A frothing cup of thick, greenish tea rested by his knee.

Brushing her way through the thick wheat fields, Sinya sneaks over to the large tree where she comes to relax her mind. During her walk she notices a large cave in the distance, just slightly as her eyes poke through the wheat. Quickly sprouting to her tiptoes she notices a spread out group of Kinrath. Due to her curious nature she decides to head over and investigate the situation.

Upon arriving closer to the cave she begins to move slowly. Checking on her breathing to reduce noise, any sudden sounds and the Kinrath would locate her, putting her in serious danger. Something was off however, Sinya could sense a strong force nearby was it perhaps something in the cave? No. It had a strong connection to the force. Moving slightly forward suddenly a large flock of birds erupted out into the sky making Sinya fall back onto a group of branches. This made a huge crack noise and the birds began to squawk
. "Crap" Sinya muttered as she got back to her feet.

The wheat began to rustle louder and and louder, larger parts of the field would drop down as stomping grew louder and louder. Drawing her Vibroblade quickly Sinya placed herself in a defensive stance ready to fight or flight whatever it was that was coming through the wheat. @Crim

Reaching down to take a sip of his tea, the old Jedi licked his lips and brought the warm cup to his mouth before he felt a presence. It was a strangely familiar presence, as if he was recognizing a good friend after a long time apart. Shortly after, he saw a flight of birds take to the skies. He took his cane in one hand and set his tea down, walking down the hill. The cane hid his lightsaber hilt, which blended in with the wood-and-metal cane. It was old and dented from centuries of use. It was decorated with various trinkets and beads, all gathered from his time spent in exile. But the Galaxy needed the Jedi once more - and he had returned too late to help.

As he walked though the wheat field, his mind began to race. Was this disturbance the source of the unusual Kinrath activity? Was someone bothering the Kinrath - perhaps a farmer or an apprentice. He shuddered to think what else it could be. Dantooine was closer to the Sith homeworlds than he'd liked, but it was currently the most defensible position the Jedi held. It was still just one stronghold, though. The Sith had warships that could blast it from orbit, weapons that could turn the air to sulfur. Or, he shuddered to consider, the monster that had consumed Tython. Still, it was too soon to operate on what-ifs. As he reached a clearing, he saw a Twi'lek. A young, red Twi'lek. She was small, but still several heads taller than the small Jedi. He did not intend to scare her, so he made his approach known.

With his cane, Ganden pushed the crops aside. He saw a vibroblade in the girl's hands. With a calm look, the old Jedi said, "Away put your weapon.
I mean you no harm."
His ears lowered a bit as he noticed their proximity to the cave entrance. Crankiness crept into his tone as he said, "Why are you here?"

"Oh erm..." Sinya becoming shy and embarrassed, feeling the presence of force in the man who entered, Sinya quickly drew a connection that he must be a Jedi Knight or Master. "I'm sorry Master I come here to release thoughts from my mind." Lowering her weapon as she says this. Eyeing the small Jedi Knight Sinya looked confused never seeing his species before.
He must be so weak and slow she thought to herself however he could be rather smart. Sinya asked suddenly "What's happening with these Kinrath Master, I thought they were cave dwellers. There's even been rumors of attacks on Jedi by these creatures do you know why?"
Sinya would love to find the reason why and help somehow in the situation, as it could prove she can be a great asset to the Jedi Order. Perhaps a through this she could find a mentor.

The old Jedi looked at the cave and then back at the girl in front of him. He grumbled and tapped her on the head with his cane. "You know Kinrath live in caves, but close to the caves you wander? Hmph. Questionable judgement," he said. "Bothered by something, the Kinrath are. Out of their home,
they are being driven. By what, I cannot tell."

The Jedi looked into the cave and his ears perked back up. This Twi'lek was doing something insanely stupid by wandering so close to a Kinrath cave, but he was considering doing something even dumber. Bravery and foolishness were two sides of the same coin sometimes. And he was going to want some company if he was going to do this. He'd had enough time trying to figure out the Kinrath problem by himself. There was little chance of convincing anyone to walk into a Kinrath cave. You might as well try to hand someone a wasp worm nest. But a Jedi knew no fear. He smirked and learned on his cane."What is your name, apprentice?" Ganden asked.
