Theodosia is a woman estranged to civilization and doesn’t prefer it. She is not savage(though some consider her to be), but quiet and curious. She’s known to be blunt and open about her opinions. She had no known quarrel with the empire until she had seen what happened it had done to families around her once she had moved off of Orto Plutonia.

In a small colony on Orto Plutonia...

“She isn’t going to live. A child born a month early, in the winter, the coldest one we’ve ever had. Don’t get your hopes up.”

The cynical medic muttered. He would never say that to the couple, this was their first child. “Okay, one last push...” The mother was doing well for her size, her body going through contractions but she never screamed. The father was worried, looking like he was about to be sick. The door opened, the grandmother hobbled over. “Move aside, medic. I want to catch my first grandchild in my hands.” She said it with a smile, but the medic knew to move over. The elderly woman had had some training in the medical field in her prime.

“She’s a girl!” The grandmother said happily. The baby, born prematurely, took its first breath. “A miracle, a true gift, my child.” She held her and went over to her daughter, giving her the child. “She looks as healthy as any baby I’ve seen,” the medic had marveled. “The Force truly blessed us,” the grandmother cried. “Are you sure you don’t want to name her after her great-aunt?”

“No, we decided on Theodosia long…”

Her name, meaning “a gift”, signified at how she was a blessing to the colony. Her birth, and survival, was a symbol of hope the colonials. It was a small colony, only about thirty citizens. There were a few children of the second generation, but they were all much older. Her mother was former educator on the planet of Pantora, her father was a hobbyist mechanic, specializing in droids that did work around the house. Now, they just did what they could to survive; farming in greenhouses and hunting.

Her Force sensitivity came as a surprise to her parents. Neither were Force sensitive and were unknown to the ways of the Force. They only knew to keep it hidden from the community. The Grandmother knew of Force sensitive relatives from Pantora, whom were either killed or recruited by the Empire.

Childhood and Adolescence (5 – 17)

Theodosia was a rambunctious toddler, and as an only child and the youngest, she was constantly given her way. She wasn’t socialized that much, she only really talked to her parents and the other adults. When she did interact with the older children, it was awkward and stifling.

When she was seventeen, she had a quarrel with her parents. There were two sides to every story, one being that her mother wanted her to stay on the planet, her grandmother thought she was ready to go off on her own, see the Galaxy. Theodosia agreed with her grandmother.

A small path orbiting the colony’s territory was Theodosia’s favorite place. When she needed to cool off, she walked the path. About ten moments later, a bad intuition overcame her. Something couldn’t be happening, right? Theodosia turned, taking a step forward towards the village. A step back towards the path. The winds in the mountains of the frozen planet howled and buffeted against her. No, she should turn back. And she did. She ran. Red snow was all around, decorated with lumps of bodies around. Darkness crept around her, fueling anger and sadness. Then, a big slap of light. Theodosia looked around, confused and taken aback. She saw her grandmother weakly smiling. She rushed over.

“Never trust in the Darkside, child. The Light is what fuels the Galaxy, truly.”

Theodosia had no idea how her grandmother survived, alas she did.

Early Adulthood (18 - 22)

After the massacre, Theodosia had to force herself to move on. She had to say good-bye to Orto Plutonia. Grandma Acatia wanted to see Pantora one last time, so they packed up what little was left and left for the planet. The leftover credits from her family she used to buy a little homestead in the rural areas. Her grandmother finally passed, causing Theodosia more pain and grief, however, those words always stuck in her head.

On Pantora, the young woman raised different livestock and did all sorts of odd trades. She was ready for the next stage in her life, but it never seemed like it would come.

@Iridescence, could you please change the font to a normal one. The font you have right now makes it very hard to read and easy to read fonts goes a long way in helping us review characters.
