Night had been closing in and he'd pushed Jake at a fair pace to the cave. The old Feeorin turned to the young male, a solid, stern and weighted grimace covered his features. He pointed to the dark maw in the ground, a rent to the uknown. Nothing was said, the student was being instructed by the Master, how would they react? Luy stepped behind them as they entered, removing a cylinder from his belt. The blade ignited and the cavern filled with a humming and a bright viridian glow. Shadows were pushed back, some twisted into ridges, wholes and cracks.

The huming was continuous it bounced off of wall, rolled along the arches and whipped around stalagtites. Luy's brow and the edge ofhis tendrils caught the light, but his eyes were dark save for pin pricks of light. These dots stared at Jake as they moved through the cave. They observed, watched and studied. He waited, not talking or telling anything, just insisting that they kept delving into the depths of the cave system.

He closed one eye as they moved on for another five, then ten minutes. Suddenlythe blade extinguished, his closed eye opened and he stepped away from the cavern floor to near the wall and he was then gone. Silence, the darkness and stone, some hundreds of yards below the surface.

His voice came from the darkness, quiet at first and then building into a roar. "... what now Jake? The darkness is all around us, how does it make you feel? WHAT DO YOU FEEL!!" he dropped to the floor of the cave, from the top of a broken stalagtite. His immense bulk landed with a scatter of smaller stones, and then the ziiiip and hum of the ignited saber again. The light pushing the darkness away.

Jake had to walk faster and faster to keep pace with the far larger Adult Feeorin. For every stride Luy made it seemed as though Jake had to make 2 or 3 to match them. Though at this speed it did not take long before they reached their end goal. A cave entrance. the darkness seemed to call to him in whispers "he has come here to kill you, the Jedi don't want you. strike at him first. DO IT DO IT" Jake pushed the voices away, he knew it was not the darkness that spoke, not the physical darkness at least but the darkness within him.

When Luy pointed to enter Jake did so but at first slowly before he heard the blade ignite behind him. Worried Jake turned his head to face Luy. The large figure was illuminated by a strange glow along with the rest of the cave. Pushing in more Jake kept his eyes darting from shadow to shadow. Each seemed to come alive and move as the light moved past them. As they walked Jake wondered how long they would have to travel for before they reached their goal. That was all before Jake heard it. The sound of a light sabre being turned off. The soft green glow was gone replaced with darkness
"he means to leave you here, leave you to die" "No" Jake said aloud. Both to the darkness and the voice.

With the darkness jake crouched. A hand moved to his waist but he had not brought any weapon with him. Moving to the cave wall Jake stayed low as one hand gripped on to the cave wall and Jake tried to calm himself. When Luy spoke he moved his head to face him "I fe fe feel abandoned, alone, discarded." When the Light returned Jake calmed down and let go of cave wall all most embarrassed that his master had seen him so scared.

"But I am here Jake..." Luy's voice sounded almost hurt. Then it hardened, not harshly but solidly supporting his thoughts, as Luy tried to support Jake. "...as is the Force." Luy's words resounded over the hum of his weapon, the cave amplifying the echoes. The blade lowered and Luy continued. "Therefore, everything is. We are all connected youngling, the Force surrounds all, penetrates to our core and links everyone to all." His voice moved to an almost whimsical tone, one guided by a genuine understanding of the magnitude of its statements. "All you have known and have passed on have joinedthe Cosmic flow of the Force, all that you know but cannot see are linked to your through the Force; me in the shadows of thhis cave or more distantly your Clan-mates." His chest swelled with pride, "It isnot unknown for the most adept of Masters to cross the expanse of space via their links to on another and converse. The practice is long halted, through need for sureptition. But..." Luy reached his mind out to Jake's and spoke to it, his lips unmoving. "It is simple once your mind and very being are in Harmony with the Force." Luy's voice was aking to Jake's internal voice, as clear and as unstoppable.

Luy lifted his blade's point toward the ceiling, its's light casting back the shadows. He spoke outloud again. "The Force is more than a tool, it is your companion. It cannot abandon you, you are linked to it, as are we all. Never again feel the Fear of isolation. Do not allow yourself to walk that Path, that way only leads to pain and suffering." Luy's words finally had hardened to an edge and then his demeanour slackened and he began walking toward a rent in the side of the cave, he peaked through and looked through. *

As he stepped forward, there was a slip of his boot off of the rockfloor into a crack, a yelp from the old Master and his blade dropped, extinguished and scattered away further into the cave and down into a crack. In the darkness, the pair were left, one was injured and his most precious possesion was nowhhere to be found within their blind reach. "There is no Chaos, but sometimes Harmony strikes an odd chord."

Jake listened to Lucy and his wise words. It was a contrast to the sith to whom the force was a tool a weapon to be molded and used. But what struck Jake was the statement that all that has passed has joined the cosmic flow. Was death really death then.

But yes Jake guessed that seeing the force as a companion made sense. The force could whisper guidance it to once ear Jake knew that. So it made sense and it made sense that if all things where connected through the force that you where all ways with your friends and allies.

"Master, could one then communicate easier over shorter distance. Maybe planetary distance? And what about communication with the cosmic force?"

If Jake could all ways be in contact with his freinds he would never feel alone. How could one be alone then.

Jake knew that pain and suffering led to the darkside he knew that very while. Walking through the cave the blade casted a green glow on the cave. Focusing on the light not the shadow calmed him some what but it all changed when he heard the boot slip on a rock. Jake's smaller feet needed far less space so he could move easier through the cave but not Luy. Turing Jake made to grab his master but as the blade vanished Jake missed. Dropping to the ground he understood Luy. This was no accedent nor a trick by his master. It was a test by the force, the force was testing him.

The force flowed through all things. Jake knew that and Jake knew from the time training as a sith that kyber Crystal's where alive in the force since they could feel pain. Calming his nerves Jake listened not with his ears but something far stronger. He listened with the force. He heard the soft all most musical sound of the crystal contained in the blade. Moving his hand to find it he felt it, the metal hilt and gripped it. Pulling it up Jake ignited the blade.

"master Luy, are you injured? Can you walk or must I go fetch help. Carrying you may be hard."

As the light bathed the room in green again, Luy froze. He hoped that Jake was not wounded as he activated the lethal weapon. He exhaled a sigh of reliefas the question was brouht forth. "No young student of the Force. We, or aptly I, have found ourselves in this predicament. Consider this a challenge, one that you and the Force should be able to solve. While I may indeed weigh more than two of you put together, you have to remember the Force s you guide, you pack and your companion." Luy tried toturn and faceJake to aid in his tuition, his pinned leg stopped this.

Facing the cave that he was going to explore, "Reach out your hand Jake, as if you were going to grab the rock that traps my leg. Focus on the stone, you know it is hard and heavy. I know particularly how hard it is, and I can assure you of it." He took a deep breath, this could go very wrong. "No, Will the Force. Direct it, imagine it leaves your hand and that your hand grasps; but by the strength of the Force, you will both free me." Luy's voice held no Fear, the old Master had heard tals of landslides being halted, or spacecraft being plucked from the sky by Master's of the Force. This was a small boulder. "Relax, and take your time Jake."

Jake looked down at his master as the green light from the lightsabre illuminated the Feeorin male. His leg was pinned by a large rock. Jake looked at the rock and knew What Luy wanted him to do still it was a large rock. "I understand master" Closing his eyes Jake focused on the rock, imaging on its location in his mind. Visualizing the cave, the surrounding and Luy glowing in the force. Focusing on the Rock Jake willed it to rise, it shook and moved before it raised slightly above the ground slowly but surely it moved upwards. With one more last gasp, Jade hade the rock drop again on the ground next to Luy's leg.

Opening his eye Jake fell to his knees by Luy. Regaining his breath he offered him his Lightsaber back. "Master, are we gonna carry on into the cave or are we going to go back?"

He pulled up his leg and rolled into the cave through the door. Laying on his back, bathed in the bright green light of his sabre a chuckle emerged slowly. It swelled into a snigger and a laugh until it was a hearty roar that rolled around the cave like water flowing around a bowl. He tried to regain composure, placing the purlicue of his hand across his eyes and focusing. His laughter died down, but as he rose there was still a chuckle that burbled up. "Ha ha, yes! Look at what you did Jake! Remember this moment, saving another. Halting pain and allowing your tuition to continue. You did this, Rwahahaha!" He began his full bodied laughter once more for a few more moments.

His brow raised, but his eyes and crooked smirk revealed his amusement in the light of his sabre. "Yes Jake, we are going back. It turns out that we found what I wanted to show you far sooner than I hoped." He took the lit sabre back and began walking back along the previously trodden trail. More often then last time he looked over his broad shoulders back to his Initiate, that glint of mirth not wanting to leave them. "You will be taking a trial soon Jake, you and some of your Clan mates. You will get to meet other Masters and prove yourself as one that can join the Order. I am confident that you will pass." He shook his head and turned to Jake. "That is not to be seen as pressure, nor is it a by for the Trial. My observations of you and your studies fill me with this understanding. Keep at your studies and you will pass. Remember, there are three things to be tested. Your knowledge of the Jedi code, look to your texts I gave you all, your connection to the Force, and your discipline. How you do this will be up to you and the Will of the Force. But know your Trials will be soon." He led Jake to the edge of the cave, the moon shone bright and he dipped the blade to point toward the campsite and extinguished it. "But that will require a journey elsewhere... to a discovery I have made with a friend of mine."
