Far up from the beach, two figures made an ascent. There had been no words since the campsite. The others had been left to their studies. It was time tosee if Jorrin understood that which he'd been entrusted with. The large Feeorin leaned on his stick as the clambered ever closer to the peak over looking the beach that they all started from, the one day that Bergruutfa was formed. He knew they'd been sparring, which was good; but how much had they been thinkking on the Force, had any of them been meditating or giving it any real thought?

They were near the halfway point. His head tilted to look back at Jorrin, his tendrils tumbling over his shoulder and a firm look set across his face. "Young Sugai! Are you stil with me? Not fallen back down?" he pressed on, a large step here and a tentative one there; as a few pebbles moved. Such confidence in this one, he'd sensed it on the beach. Confidence in the self was all well and good, but an understanding of the world around you was far superior.

Soon this Initiate would know the wonder, the joy of the Force and having one's life filled by it, to see it in friendships old and new. How he relished awakening the young Firrerreo's mind, but the summit was before them and the journey was only just beginning. Luy dropped his pack and paced over to look out the ocean bordering Horizon Island. "Sugai, how do you feel?"

Jorrin was catching his breath when Luy spoke to him. He straightened up, wiping some sweat off his forehead.
"Sore from the sparring still, but the ocean is nostalgic. There were many places like this on my homeworld."

He was referring to Firrerre, a planet of mountains and oceans. The terrain had a tendency to form waterfalls, many cities were built around such areas, as they were also fertile ground.
Despite having lived offworld for most of his life, it was clear Jorrin held his heritage in high regard. The many customs he insisted on were proof of this.

"Though, I think the others may be more in touch with this 'Force' than me. They seem to have taken to it already."

Luy's eyes rolled as he looked to the ocean. He turned around with a raised eyebrow. "Is that? You worry about your physical aches? You worry about the other students? Such a worrier I have in my Clan, what of your studying? What of your meditations? You wonder what the other people's connection to the Force is like, are you worried about yours? Should you be, or should you just commune and increase yours?" The large Feeorin spoke at pace, but t was clear, concise and easy to follow. He placed his stick on the ground, his legs apart and facing out to the ocean again. He raised his hands, whipping his broad sleeves around his forearms. His broad stance bent, his hands held out wards with their palms facing the sky and he then slowly lifted them. Rocks lifted from the cliff, some could fit in Jorrin's palm, other were bigger than Luy and one was huge and this gave Luy a lot of strain to lift. All the rocks orbited the largest and then with a grunt Luy dropped them suddenly off the cliff side.*

Panting, Luy straightened up. "Even Jedi Master's can over extend, especially after a long climb up a mountain." His concerned stare was replaced with one of warmth and a broad smile. "They key is knowing yourself, young Sugai; or perhaps young Jorrin?" he paced past the student and picked up his stick. He formed the opening stance of Soresu, his weight on the right leg as he leaned back on it. is left stretched out at an angle away from Jorrin. His left hand held palm outward toward the youth and his blade held at a right angle to his upheld right arm. "There is no ignorance, Jorrin. Only the oppurtunity to learn. This must be how you see things." Luy moved through a few moments and then placed the 'sword' tip down and leaned on his cane. "The Jedi Code is a list of ideals that keep us true and away from the Dark side. This is one of them There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. Ruminate on it, move through some fighting motions, sit down and meditat. Only you truly know what will help you, Initiate. I can only guide you with my knowledge. This is a step that ou ust take, know yourself."

At the word 'Jorrin', the Firrerreo's face twisted into a snarl. He bared hiss fangs, and his voice had a growl under it.
"I'll assume that came from a place of ignorance. Sugai will do."
Walking further onto the mountain peak, Jorrin peered off the edge. The beach they had met at was to the west, stuck between a dense jungle and a vast ocean. He held the wooden rod out in front of him, lining it up with the sand.
A moment later, he backed off from the edge, considering the words.

'There is no ignorance, there is knowledge... More religion than it is philosophy. I assume it refers to ignorance being the negative of knowledge rather than its own distinct concept. Though, depending on the context, it could also be read as a goal to achieve.'
He took a step forward with his right leg, lowering himself slightly, and distributing his weight in a 60-40 split from back leg to front. The rod was held in his right hand. He experimented with a fully up, diagonal, and fully forward tilt. The former two were fine, but the latter one felt clumsy. He settled on a slight tilt forward, perpendicular to the ground, centered to his right shoulder.

His right leg darted forward a half-step, and the rod swung down in a leg-level, counterclockwise arc. With a turn of the wrist, the stick was swung forward, coupled with an extension of the arm. In returning from the high thrust, Jorrin also stepped back.
The rod was brought up for a swing from the right, down to the shoulder. However, a turn of the arm sent the rod in a concise left-to right swing at shoulder level. Then, it was pulled back, brought over the head, and swung over to the opposite side in one arm movement, all coupled with a step forward. The stick stopped at stomach level, and was against returned to his neutral stance.

Jorrin took a seat, sitting cross legged with the stick leaned up onto his knee. He'd never really meditated, let alone meditated on a specific topic. To start, he figured he'd focus on one sensation. The ground here was mostly stone. Covered in countless ridges and cracks. At this time of day, it was already hot from the sun. Compared to the desert sands, it was quite comfortable.

Master Luy's tone did not break in the face of growling, fangs and snarls. Like a large prey for a too small a predator he stared down the student. "Jedi are in control of their emotions, regardless of the ignorance of others." As he finished his point the 'cane' tip prodded the young male in the chest. "Your heart..." it rounded in a flat circle and he tapped the Initiates head. "... and your mind. They will forever be in conflict, your heart leads to the Dark side. It will fuel your emotions and in turn you will find the corrupting influence of Love, Fear and Anger." His 'cane' returned to the ground at his side.

"Jorrin. The univese is connected. You on this outcrop, I also on this outcrop. We are connected by a rock. But this vast rock is connected to this planet and in turn all life on this planet is connected to the planet. The planet is part of the universe with its gravitational pull. But more than that Jorrin. Think on that image, everything in the universe connected. How? All at the same time, and trust me when I say... it is one energy that does so. Imagine smoke, water, threads or string. Whatever gives you taht image..." he paused, a slight quivering of his lower lip as his mind relished in the feeling of the Force. Its comforting, and all encompassing presence, ever a friend. "... now feel it Jorrin, reach out with your senses. Touch it, see it, hear it. Go further."

He paced slowly, and softly. How he knew the wonders of what the young one was going to see, but how he missed the sheer awe of the first time.

"I don't care enough about some half-dead religion to tolerate your disrespect. The name is Sugai."

Jorrin rose from his seat, one hand naturally resting near his blaster. He still held the stick, but he was closer to shooting the Jedi than striking him.

Rishii was nearly forgotten. A world lost in another time, somehow free of the painful grip of the Empire. Oh, the hints of Darkness still lingered throughout the world but the overt malaise of the Sith was not present. Aurora could not remember if she had ever visited the distant planet. She had jaunted throughout the galaxy for so many years, it was hard to remember each planet. It didn’t much matter. Aurora was here now and here for a very specific purpose. She hadn’t spent much time with Luy since the first meeting between all the Jedi and Hugo.

Luy was the only Jedi older than she was, and he was a great deal older. The Morellian Jedi knew her fellow Jedi Master had gathered a little Clan of Initiates. Just as it had once been. Aurora’s teaching methods were a little different. She wanted to see exactly how Luy lead his classes. They needed to learn from one another, and perhaps no one knew as much of the old Order as Luy. Aurora was not above asking for help. As always, she wore her worn brown travel robes, high leather boots, and loose fitting synthweave clothes. Her mental walls were drawn high and her Force signature was suppressed to a pinprick. Old habits died hard.

Thankfully, she had gotten good directions from Luy. He apparently was with a student. Unfortunately, it was a torturous walk to the Jedi Master and his pupil. As Aurora drew closer to the teaching ground the Force spiked with anger. Red hot anger spilled all round them. A dark dangerous anger. Aurora was approaching from behind, so that Jorrin could not see her. His intent in the Force was unshielded. It was clear he meant to shoot Master Luy. Unbridled murderous intent.

Aurora was about ten meters from Jorrin when she raised her voice. She arrived just after Jorrin finished speaking his name. The Force was already building in her left hand, as the hilt of her saber slid into her right. “Pulling that blaster would be a mistake.” She carefully observed the man throughout her accent, upon arriving, and while speaking. @Foolish Guac @Sangga

Luy's eyes opened wide. Then slowly his heavy brow lowered, his eyes squinted. "Such anger and such intent, Initiate." His left hand gestured to the angry Initiate's hand, the one by the blaster. "You would bring arms against one that wanted to teach you so much, and you are this angry over a name? Sugai, Luy, and forgive me for saying this again; my point requires I do, Jorrin. What do you think such labels are to the Force? We are conduits of the Universe spanning energy that binds all..." Luy moved slowly to the cliff. He knew instinctively where his sabre was. He stood, side on to the would be assailant. His outer robes did not fasten, and the stance would cause a glint of the sabre to be shown.

"So much had been placed on your shoulders, and for that I am sorry, you were one of the first Sugai, and confident assuredly so…” the words from their meeting on the beach. How circular the Force could be. “Blind without knowledge, one that I was happy to extend to you, if you had the Will to obtain it.” His stance hardened, he could feel the anger broiling, and then another presence made itself known, for a moment Luy looked over Sugai's shoulder.

Upon seeing a figure break the crest of the hillside. The Initiate's blaster hand was more of a concern than any with the arrival of Master Blackwood, in fact it was a liablility; anger and firepower. What a combination. "Sugai, none of this matters. What matters is the Force, and how anger is only going to haul you down to the darkest depravities. Names are but names. But such anger at something so small compared to the balance of the Force. You will need to leave, but as you know of my existence, that of the other Initiates and the Jedi as a whole..." Luy deflty took his sabre from his belt and heldit in his right hand, his weight moved to his back foot. "... know that we do not mean you harm, Sugai. You will have to come with the pair of us, now."

Jorrin heard Aurora coming quite early. A Firrerreo's hearing was quite sharp. He turned his head, eyes narrowing at the sight of her. He backed up, such that they would both be in front of him.

"Aren't you the one from the robbery? Do Jedi also take side jobs as bandits?"

Then, he turned his attention to Luy, seeing him draw his weapon, he drew his in response.
"Whether they want to teach me or not. It is not your place to take ownership of my name."

Aurora never took her eyes off the wayward student. This was all over a name? Seemed a foolish dispute, but that anger mixed with pure hate had been real. Intent in the Force was difficult to fake. There was no denying the young man would have shot Luy. Aurora did not doubt the elder Jedi Master could handle himself, but there was no point in taking chances.

All while Master Luy and his student spoke, Aurora kept her eyes on the student. Even though the man faced her, they were still about ten meters apart. The man held a stick in one hand, and a blaster pistol in the other. He seemed intent on fighting them. His words and his signature in the Force confirmed as much. This was not a fight Aurora wished to have. The Morellian Jedi doubted they would be given a choice. If Luy didn’t think the boy could be saved, they truly only had one option. The wayward student had to be taken in for questioning by the Internal Division, unless something changed quickly.

These thoughts flew through her mind as Luy and his student spoke. Aurora would stay silent until the student drew his weapon and finished speaking. All the while, the Force contuined to build in her left hand. It would be near impossible for an untrained Force user to sense her movements, and her mental walls were still tightly constructed.

“Put down the weapons, kid. Neither of us want this to be a fight, but such hate is dangerous. Dangerous for you, and your fellow students.” Aurora made her words as honest as possible. Trying to get the student to believe her. She did not want a fight. “Please, we don’t want anyone to get hurt. I promise we will do everything we can to figure this out.” The Force kept building. Aurora did not want this, but if Luy’s student insisted she would bring her full strength in the Force to bear. @Sangga @Foolish Guac

At the question, Luy could only look to Aurora. He had no 'side jobs', but then again if that is what was needed of Aurora; that'd be her business. His was to his students, successes or otherwise. This was the life of a Master, this was as the holocrons and text had told him. He felt the fear in Jorrin, fear of the Jedi and of what was to come. Luy remained stationary on the promontory point, the Initiate turned and tried to halt the flanking, a shallow angle was now described by their positions. Luy's eyes darted around the young one, occasionally his brow lifted as he glanced at Aurora, the Force coalescing in her hand, his eyes would show her that Luy was very concerned at what lay before them; if she didn't know better Luy looked scared or sad.

The blaster was fully drawn, no doubt in reaction to the sight of sabre's in hand, and the second Master's arrival. He still sought violence as a reaction to the threat, his anger still flowed. This was thrown at him in the stress on the words 'your' and 'my' such divergence from the path that was laid out. The harshness behind 'your' stung, Luy physically reacted. It was clear how he was viewed, and by extension the other Jedi. A lack of care for a half-dead religion was exactly shown. He steeled his mind for what may happen, Luy's hurt was soothed by his focus. His knotted brow unfurled, and there was a long exhale. Aurora's words rang in his mind, the other students and further the Order. "It matters not to the Force, I matter not to the Force. The Force guides me, and it effects us all. It is both the Light and the Dark." Luy moved from his readied stance, standing upright. He began to walk towards his student, ten paces away.

His weapon was in his hands, his arms at his side slightly held out. "It connects us all. When you are angry, others will react in a similar fashion..." he thought for a moment, surveyed the young male, and took a step forward. "...This is not the Jedi way." He'd pushed to far, he could feel it; then Jorrin moved.

"You just popped out of a bush with a saber. Looks to me like you're the one who came ready to fight."

Jorrin's attention was pulled towards Luy when he took a step. He started to circle towards Luy, maintaining roughly the same distance with him, and increasing the distance from Aurora. Keeping away from the cliff edge was a good bonus, too.
'He was throwing rocks around earlier. They could probably throw me off the mountain too. Those sabers can deflect bolts, long ranges won't help much.'
As usual, he was going through his options, drawing mainly from experiences with Sith.

Well, she had tried. Luy knew the boy best and his words clearly meant nothing. Aurora had given the student two chances to resolve this peacefully, he had taken neither opportunity. They had worked so hard rebuild the Order. They were on the doorstep of truly changing the galaxy. Aurora had chosen her students incredibly carefully, to prevent this very thing from happening. All it took was one mistake to expose them. A mistake she would not have. Aurora planned to have a conversation with Luy when this was all said and done. Such anger did not appear out of nowhere, it would have been evident before the boy ever set foot on Rishii.

Aurora never gave Jorrin the chance to start moving. The moment he finished his little speech, and the moment his attention shifted to Luy, Aurora struck. The Force had been building in her left hand since her arrival on the hill. Jorrin’s focus was no longer on her and so she acted immediately. Her left hand shot out. She wrapped the Force around the stick and blaster in Jorrin’s hand and yanked upward with full strength of the Force she had built.

The boy could either attempt to hold on to his weapons and risk being carried high into the sky, or he could release the weapons to be carried away on the winds of the Force. Aurora had been charging this little maneuver for some time, and Jorrin was distracted by Luy. The chances he would be able to react were slim. Of course, she never took her eyes from the man. If Jorrin continued to walk after the pull, she would mirror his movements, never staying farther than 10 meters away. She would also begin to build the Force again in her hand no matter what happened. @Foolish Guac @Sangga

Luy halted, watched Jorrin pace around. He moved again to ensure that Aurora was never covered by him. He could feel the Force bristling in her hand. As it burst forth to grab weapons and potentially send Jorrin of his feet. Luy paired with his move. Her Force with his studied, applied and refined movements. He had eight paces to enter the fray; nine to make contact. He could cross them swiftly, getting swifter as he went; but could he do so unscathed?

The first had him spring forth, his arms lowering to place the hold of his weapon at waist height. Second and third, had the blade ignite and was fully formed. Fourth, he was ready the Force rising through his limbs. Fifth, his face was still calm, there was no snarl or grimace; he was serene as if in meditation. The sixth landed, he halted with his ever heightening reflexes. A check was done and then two more paces were taken to bring him into this encounter. He would not call it a fight, that still implied anger or a want to inflict harm.

The edge would rise and it would find blocking weapons or raised pistol, slicing through both alike. If arms were raised he'd knick and withdraw if needed. If a bolt came from another weapon he'd send them away from all of them. Not a word utter from Luy, not another sound. His tuition had ceased and now he acted by the Will of the Force. Events had collided, they were living in the bow wave of time. Reactions became actions, and soon revealed resolutions and effects. What did the Future bring? Nothing was known to Luy, he was in the now. His most trusted companion was at his side, and its green glow caught the moisture of his eyes, and the droplet now trailing along the ridge of his faces tendril.

Jorrin didn't miss Aurora's movement, but could not perceive or react to her Force maneuver, causing him to lose his weapons. On the other hand, Luy was rapidly closing the gap between them. Due in large part to the pull upwards from Aurora, Jorrin's arms were raised. However, as Luy swung, Jorrin felt a distinct lack of pressure from his attack.
While he pulled his arms down, fully avoiding Luy's attack, Jorrin was dashing just outside saber range to Luy's right. The fact that the attack was both intended to be stopped, and aimed at easily-moved extremities gave Jorrin the space necessary to attempt this.

That being said, he was still not in a position to counterattack.

Aurora would maybe never understand how this devolved into a fight. Maybe, one day she could understand the young misguided fool. That time had passed for now. She cared little what happened until Jorrin was subdued. She would find out about this ridiculousness once that was accomplished. This was now her problem as well. Thankfully, her use of the Force was successful. The stick and blaster pistol went soaring into the air. Jorrin was now without a single weapon to defend himself. This fight was over. She was prepared to end it. Aurora, and the Jedi, were not their Sith counterparts. She still had no desire to end Jorrin’s life. All she wanted was for this to end.

As Luy, attack missed and Jorrin danced sideways, Aurora reached out with the Force again. She wrapped the Force quickly around Jorrin’s ankle and yanked upward. The move was designed to topple Jorrin, landing him squarely on his back. She had been building the Force in her left hand again, meaning she had plenty of strength remaining. Aurora acted as Jorrin was in the middle of his dodge, after he started to move away from Luy, but before he finished his dash to the right. There was no truly feasible way Jorrin could be focused on avoiding Luy, and watching Aurora. Besides, his senses would be dulled to her again. Aurora was confident this was over. If it wasn’t, she kept her eyes trained on Jorrin, staying the 10 meters away. @Foolish Guac @Sangga

In the slow visuals of fight time everything crystallized. He saw Jorrin’s dodge, from his Force enhanced movements. If Jorrin was grasped by Aurora, Luy would sprang. As Jorrin would fall, Luy would leap. and would land on the fallen boy. The Force coursing through his limbs gave him alacrity beyond one of his size. His heavy boot going for crouch, stomach or meat of thigh. Jorrin would be kept in place. If Jorrin remained under foot, the tip of his ignited sabre would hover inches from Jorrin, heat washing of the viridian blade. It would halt at Jorrin’s chin. The threat very real.

If Aurora’s Force attack failed, was dodged or Jorrin somehow was not on the floor, Luy would control Jorrin’s centre line with vertical slashes either side. Then he would go for legs and arms. Learning from Jorrin’s previous movement capabilities, he would use any momentum lost by a dodge to redirect. Immobilise with cuts, trying not to slice off limbs. If more dodges were attempted Luy would press even harder with the attack.

Luy’s eyes were hard, his brow had raised. The light from his sabre formed pinpricks within his pupils. His stoi face remained. Each action was solid, and well practiced, it was only an amount of time. The two Masters were more than patient enough. @Foolish Guac @Valen Pelora

Again, while Jorrin could clearly see everything Aurora was doing, the force grab was invisible and impossible for him to avoid. Though he was perplexed as to why she chose to trip him. Luy's maneuver might have suceeded had he not jumped. However, this gave Jorrin an unnecessarily long window to understand what he was doing and react accordingly. By the time Luy had landed, Jorrin had already rolled sideways, and was on one knee diagonally behind him to his left.

If, despite Aurora's attack being successful, not having been dodged, and Jorrin still being on the floor, Luy still continued with the vertical slashes. Jorrin would immediately take the opportunity granted by his two consecutive misses to retreat, and start charging Aurora instead. This also left him out of range of future slashes (unless pursued as a separate action).

Also, if Luy did not continue with the vertical slashes, Jorrin would still retreat by charging Aurora.

Impossibly, Jorrin somehow managed to suddenly fall without disorientation, recognize Luy was trying to end the fight, and roll away. Aurora would have been shocked if they weren’t in the heat of battle. Skills like that rivaled what even a trained Jedi Knight could likely accomplish. As Luy’s attack failed, Aurora immediately began building the Force in her left hand again. The student began to charge her without any weapons. Bold but foolish. It was the sign of a man completely consumed by rage. Aurora was still 10 meters from Luy and Jorrin, she had more than enough time to react.

When Jorrin reached 5 meters, Aurora struck out with the Force. She had been building the Force from the moment Jorrin rolled, until he reached 5 meters away. She wrapped the Force around his chest and legs. Her left hand manipulating the waves of the Light. The Morellian Jedi Master yanked down hard. She did not used all of her strength, because that would have shattered the man. She pulled down hard enough to knock him unconscious, but not cause death or critical injury. She used every bit of her talents as a Jedi Master. Aurora also readied her Lightsaber in case Jorrin got any closer, stepping another two meters away. @Foolish Guac @Sangga

How did he move? How did he know? How? He had to end the fight. Luy was appalled this fight should've ended there. As Luy’s attack failed, Aurora would notice a change in Luy's stance. His enhanced dextrousness dropped created a solid stance. His feet plantedfirmly and the Force swirled around his left hand,it grew further as he extinguished his saber, returning it to his belt, as the student began to charge Aurora without any weapons. It was the sign of an impetuous man completely captivated by anger.

As Aurora struck out with the Force, he could sense the waves of the Light. The Morellian Jedi Master yanked down hard, Luy winced. He saw Aurora also ready her Lightsaber in case Jorrin got any closer, he would not allow that. Luy's built up Force energy swirled, his hands and arms swung round and then raised to the sky and swiftly swung down pointing at Jorrin. Where waves buffeted from Aurora to Jorrin, the Force was a torrent, a river of energy under Luy's control. It would press down on Jorrin, each surface of Jorrin and the ground around him was pressed. The Force was continued to be pulled as he keptthe flow going. @Foolish Guac @Valen Pelora
