So fighting a droid with a blaster rifle was a bad idea.
Sure, he could probably take it out except his blaster pistol had been deliberately broken to make it a stun pistol only and stun pistols had little effect on droids. He was going to have to take the time to fix it wasn't he? Ugh that just sounded like a lot of effort but he supposed he could do it. But the downside was that the damn thing might be able to get a couple good shots off.
On the plus side - they were dumber than a tonne of bricks.
And he was smarter than a tonne of bricks!
Also...
Their power cores were rather adaptable...
Crix swapped his pistol for his screwdriver and charged out from behind cover once the droid had walked past him.
"What the-waaah!"
Tackling the droid onto the ground on it's front, he managed to pin it's blaster rifle underneath it's chest chassis as he started on one of it's access panels at the back.
"Wiz! Hurry up - we're gonna be making a fast exit!"
The droid squirmed.
"Hey! Put that back! You're not a licensed operator!"
He tutted and jabbed with the screwdriver, cutting the connection to the voice modulator so the droid couldn't talk anymore as he worked on removing the power core. They were so much better when they were quiet!
