" they want how many units?" Her shrill exclamation was more than enough to give voice to the utter shock at the figures running across her holo screen. Fingers quickly scrolling through manifests and resource banks. Out side was nice, the blue skies of Coruscant's spring season was showing brightly, the sun glinting off passing speeders and highrise windows. However indoors the room was darkened allowing the twin holo projectors to show vividly.

Aife Xan' Cos sat in her rebuilt apartment kept busy with new business ventures. It had been only a few months since her abduction, and mental trauma, however her recovery well well underway at this point. Though she had yet to return to Zeltros, The corporate Matron had managed to convince her guardian Valek to allow her to at least return to her secondary home. It was not long until she was contracted by the Republic itself to work jointly with her old Friend Costa. Apparently the Republic aimed to patch itself up on a grand scale, and needed all the help it could get.

" I could get at least 600 scramblers out in a few months but able to cover that much space? thats insane. My techs would be kept busy for years to retrofit them to cover entire craft. "

The Zeltrons emerald eyes returned once more to the projection of Costa himself, a long time friend, and former master designer of the old Jade Galactic. Much like her, Costa maintained his practice, though under his own name and remaining exclusive to the Republic worlds. " I can do the scanners, and projectors no problem though, converting the entertainment console production line for more ship grade systems is something we can do..." she added, turning her eyes to the side to the large black furred feline of Ryan Kelso, her chief operations manager back at Zeltros. Ryan had been holding down the fort so to speak in her absence, and it was more than apparent that running the resort as well as the side corporations was taking it's toll on the upbeat feline.
" I trust Mistress Xakra's orders are cleared through?" she asked, her cheeks blushing slightly at the thought of the Falleen noble woman " I would love it if some of the docks were free for Costa's use if it helps."

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, as the saying goes!

At best a year or two had passed since he sold his club to Aife and went to work for her as a singer, yet in that time he'd gone right back to being a Manager. The work had grown on him... Somewhat, anyways. He'd taken classes and attended workshops to hone his already-excellent people skills and to learn some much-needed leadership skills, and had slightly changed his wardrobe to be more businesslike and less 'sexy.'

Okay, so his leadership teacher had to all but twist his arm out of his socket to get him to change his wardrobe, but he'd done so. With more tuxes, blazers, and pressed slacks than he could shake his tail at, Ryan had been positively suffocating in finery for months on end, and he'd hated every last second of it! He missed his cargo pants and his tight tee-shirts and his shorts and the like! Still, he grudgingly admitted that making money hand over fist in his new job was well worth any inconvenience he might have to suffer in the clothing department.

In spite of that, he was quickly tiring of his new workload. While at first his managerial duties had been tolerable at worst, they'd been piling on in the last few months. Ultimately, Ryan found himself running the entirety of JE's operations on Zeltros... And more than a few of Aife's side corporations, too! It was quite a bit of work, and left the energetic 20-something panther with no time to pursue his personal endeavorer. Perhaps needless to say, his mental, physical, and emotional reserves were all being quite rapidly drained by his workload. He didn't complain, though; Aife had been through hell in the last year, and he didn't want to put a single bit of undue stress on his boss's plate.

It was for that reason that, when he received a summons to Aife's office on Coruscant, he'd all but literally pounced on the opportunity to get away from Zeltros for a few days. The feline had been on a corporate shuttle within an hour of receiving a summons, and was at her doorstep in no time at all. While his assistant took his things to the hotel room that had been booked for him, Ryan himself made a beeline for Aife's, and now found himself tucked away in the corner of her office, half-asleep on her couch.

The cat's pressed black slacks, stone gray button-down shirt, black business vest, and dark red tie were a stark contrast to his old attire, and the formal clothing made the sleepy feline look utterly ridiculous. He forced himself to sit up a bit straighter as he noticed Aife look towards him, a yawn sliding past his lips as she spoke. "H-huh? Sorry Aife, I didn't catch that," he apologized, ears pinning back sheepishly as he offered up a smile to the Zeltron.

Teo allowed a smile to appear on his face for his old friend. He nodded appropriately and even tilted his head at the mention of new shipyards. Many plans were being set in motion. Years of work being set before him, it was any businesses dream. As much work as possible for what was essentially eternity. His old friends were looking at infamy ahead of them and it was nearly in reach.

Aife arched a violet brow at Ryan. " The ship yards... We finished the Last of the Fallen orders right?" her tones her whimsical. This was hardly the tight, sterile vision of corporate offices working jointly many would envision. It was however a long forgotten bond that seemed to spark new life.

" Sorry Teo, Ryan got out here so fast that the Hyperspace Lag has gotten the better half of him. " she mused, throwing a pen playfully in the felines direction.

It had been along time since Aife had been able to be playful. Her abduction, and hostage situation had circulated all over the republic, and her home world of Zeltros. The story of her survival seemed only give her more fame. Zeltros had a bad habit of making icons of faces plastered heavily to the holo vids.

Ryan instantly woke up as a pen sailed in his direction. The cat's eyes went wide as reflexes kicked in... But instead of avoiding the flung writing implement, he lunged at it with jaws wide and caught it between his teeth. Grinning from one fuzzy ear to the other, he sat back in the couch and crossed his legs and folded his arms across his chest. His grin became smug as he used his tongue to turn the pen around in his jaws until the tip was pointed at Aife.

He plucked it from between his lips and twirled it between his fingers. "Hey, the lag lets me catch up on some much-needed sleep without getting picked on!" he quipped. An underhand toss sent the pen sailing end-over-end towards Aife in a lazy arc. "But yeah, the orders are done. We went a couple days over schedule because of an equipment malfunction in one of the docking slips, but it's done. I had to have the slip taken off-line for maintenance, though. It won't be back up for..."

The Mashi Horansi paused to pull out his datapad and check the date. "Oh. Guess it'll be back up later today. In about six hours to be precise, buuuttt that's assuming all goes well. There's some other news from Zeltros for you too, Aife, but that can wait."

Valek adjusted his coat collar a little, making sure it was aligned right as his helmet covered his head. He had grown more comfortable taking it around his boss and friend Aife, no longer calling it his face as he had done for so long. The warped world he had made for himself and that he had lived by had come to reality and he no longer believed what he once did, to some point. He still took all his jobs quite serious, but had slowly started to adapt to loosening up a little around those who he worked around in JE.

He wore his traditional leather longcoat over his body, his magnum and lightsaber hidden in the pockets as always, he looked around once from the corner of the living room he was in. He had Aife in his view, along with Ryan that he spotted as well. He released a small sigh as he scratched his back once. Aife was talking business, and he was there to make sure things went smoothly, though he knew that most here were friends of hers, and no harm would really come to anyone.
