Ossus
Sina gazed out the viewport of the transport ship as they came into orbit in the space above Ossus. From her vantage point, she could see patrol craft and gunboats moving about in formations around the planet. Clearly the planet was on alert, and it made sense. Ossus, despite being a Jedi stronghold with a Temple, an Academy, and the Great Library, as well as a population in the hundreds of millions, Ossus could be said to almost be in the middle of the empire as far as the galactic atlas read. With recent Imperial attacks on surrounding planets and on the jedi themselves, the planet and the jedi present there were likely on high alert as the Empire seemingly closed in around them. This, Sina had expected.

Her ship flew un-harrased through the web of defense ships. That was because, it wasn't her ship. She was currently a passenger on a public transport vessel which was flying into Ossus. Sina had left most of her weapons and possessions behind for this trip, including her lightsabers, and she wore a simple cloak over her clothes and draped over her horns. She kept her face mostly hidden throughout the journey. Sina felt naked without her lightsabers. It was almost an unnatural feeling. But, she had to make sure this trip of hers went smoothly, She wasn't here to cause trouble. She was here for information. Plus, an unarmed young girl shouldn't draw much attention. Attention was not something she was looking for.

The transport flew through Ossus's atmosphere and began it's landing approach to the spaceport at Knossa, the largest city on the planet and location of the largest spaceport. More importantly, it was towards the edge of Knossa where Sina's final destination lay. She surveyed the city as they landed. It truly was a lovely planet, lush with life. Sina was unimpressed. There was so much room for improvement. Attendant voices came on over the speakers in the cabin informing the passengers that there would be security checks to pass through upon arriving at the terminal. Sina smirked to herself. Just as she had expected. She had nothing to worry about. She was completely unarmed... Which was the only thing she was worried about.

Transport vessels always had that smell. Or at least that was what Jexz had come to notice these days. Spending most of his time traveling on them due to lacking in how own ship for the time being. But that would soon change he kept telling himself. Soon he would have his own ship and take to the stars and blaze across its night sky.

Sitting in the back within the cheaper section of the ship, his feet swung back and forth over the bench he sat on. He had heard stories about this planet and decided it was time to take a visit. Even as they approached he felt the warm feeling deep within him, his sensitivity connecting to the feel of the planet as it always naturally did. Even now as he approached it felt like there was a wound or a pain seated within its warmth, mingled with an almost ocean breeze. He always struggled to place the words to describe how each planet felt.

Lifting his head as he heard the comment about a security check he frowned a bit, they always picked on the young scruffy looking kid. Thinking he was up to no go in his tattered clothes, the now torn clock that was two sizes too big hung loosely over his shoulders.

Getting up he moved to look out of the window to observe the landscape, seeing the beauty of the planet, the green mixed with that of the cities structures. Looking around over his shoulders for a quick glance to make sure everyone else was busy with something else he lifted his hand up towards the top storage shelf and gave his bag a quick tug using the force, causing it to fall into his arms as he swings it into position. Making his way towards the back of the ship where the thick of the people was, positioning himself next to an elder man and woman. Standing close enough to make it appear that they were traveling together but far enough away that they would not get too uncomfortable from him standing close. Blinking several times he adjusted his expression to match that of a fourteen year old looking unsure and nervous.

He hoped this would be enough that security would just wave him through rather than ask him countless questions and make him feel uncomfortable.

Sina rose from her seat in the first class section of the cabin as the people ahead of her grabbed their bags. She was alone, but definitely not poor. She had sold off most of her first master's estate and made a decent little sum of money. Of course, it was nothing compared to what she would eventually need. Just a drop in the bucket. Really it was just some money to live on, and would go just as quickly as it came. It mattered little to Sina. She didn't really care whether she was living the high life or down in the gutters. She had come from the gutters. She knew how to survive there. All that mattered was her research and her plans. She needed to find a way to fund her studies, and to build the scientific utopia that she had always dreamed of.

Of course, Sina's idea of a utopia was probably more like a nightmare to someone else. No matter how beautiful it might be, there was a dark twist to it. Like a beautiful hospital. No matter how lovely the architecture was, patients knew that they were there because something was wrong with them, and they would be poked and prodded and cut until their malady was cured or they were dead. Whichever came first. But there was still much to do. Before Sina could really settle into her research, she needed to develop her resources, which at the moment only amounted to a small personal fortune that would only fund a rather boring lifestyle. So, she didn't care that first class was expensive, and likely eating into her budget. She only cared that she could exit the transport sooner and get to work.

Suddenly, Sina felt a reverberation within the force. She spun around, looking for it's source. It had come from the back of the transport, she was sure, but there were too many people back there, and Sina wasn't tall by any means. She couldn't be sure where the source was. All she could be sure of was that there was another force-user on the transport. Not surprising considering that Ossus was a bastion of the Jedi order. Still though, for a Jedi to risk traveling straight through the Empire to get here was surprising considering the recent skirmishes between the Order and the Empire. But she supposed they could be doing the same as her. Laying low on public transport so as to avoid detection. Something for her to keep in mind if the Jedi were doing this regularly.

The line of people filed off the transport slowly as everyone had to go through a customs and security check. The security officers scanned everyone for weapons and contraband. Sina had none. She really didn't have much other than some credits and the clothes on her back. It didn't feel good to be so completely unarmed, but such precautions were necessary. "Do you have anything to declare?" The customs official at the desk in front of her asked. Sina paused for a moment, a blank look crossing her face, then she smiled. "Sina is going to the Jedi Library!" she said in an almost sing-song voice. The official blinked at her and then smiled. "Ah, trying to become a jedi little girl? Focus on your studies and maybe they'll let you into the Academy here on Ossus! Then you can grow up to be a powerful jedi knight and protect us all from the big, bad empire." Sina frowned and her eyebrow twitched as the official spoke of her becoming a Jedi. She glanced at his name tag. 'Petersive' it read. Sina looked up at Petersive's eyes, and her own eyes began to glow red slightly. "Officer Petersive finds his job and his life completely pointless. He has no friends and his family despises him. He should get up from his desk now, and walk away, out into the forests, until he finds a beast for which he can act as a nourishing meal." Petersive frowned as his eyes glossed over. "I find my job and my life completely pointless." He repeated eerily as he rose from his seat. "I think I should go for a walk now."

Sina skipped out of the customs checkpoint, smiling to herself as she began heading down the promenade in the direction she knew the library to be. On the other side of the checkpoint, Petersive clocked out for the day and began walking in the opposite direction. Towards the edge of town.

As the crowd of people shuffle forwards through the ship, Jexz made sure to keep close to the couple he had targeted, they seemed friendly enough and even began to strike up a small conversation with him. Asking him if he was visiting family, looking to take part in any studies or had an apprenticeship. Jexz being the kind of people not to social too much was polite but kept his answers somewhat short, though he was trying to keep the conversation going on a bit as they made their way towards the security checkpoint where.

As they approached he felt a twinge of something, he had felt something like this before he was sure of it. His eyes looking around for the cause of the momentary twinge but could not spot anything. Was he being watched? If he was then the best course of action to not look suspicious was to draw attention to himself. As they shuffled forwards and the couple moved to hand their tickets in and answer security questions Jexz tripped over his own feet, releasing his ticket in the air and giving it the slightest of nudges forwards towards the couple as he looked towards speaking internally to himself.

Come on come on take the ticket and take me through with you.... come on make it look like we are together

Sure, enough the man’s hand reached down towards the ticket on the ground and picked it up, looking at the kid with humor in his slowly ageing eyes

"You dropped something son"

That was all that was needed, sure it had just been a passing remark of the man but still saying Son was enough to put the that thought in a person’s head as he stood up and shuffled forwards towards the couple, the man placing the ticket down on the counter. With a grunt and a wave, the security guard let them through taking the tickets to be disposed of. After all what trouble could a kid do.

As they made their way towards the exit Jexz turned and thanked the couple and wished them all the best, learning that their names were Alika and Druk. With that the pleasantries were exchanged they parted ways. A man walked out almost in a trance state bumping past Jexz muttering about needing a walk. Crazy person must have been on drugs or something.

Jexz took to running through the promenade, it was good to stretch his legs and burn some energy, he had been sat too long. Running and dodging between people, jumping onto a low wall as he ran along it to get out of the way of the people. Even to a few shouts of disapproval. Though no one really stopped him, as his tattered cloak he wore flapped behind him, a glint of a weapon could be seen bound up tightly against his thigh with straps keeping it hidden for the most part. It was some form of a knife but not much else could be gathered other than that.

Jexz was making a B line for the Library now, he already had a plan to watch several holo vids when he got there. Suddenly there was a twinge at the back of his neck and down his spine. It was almost as though a voice shouted from inside of him

STOP !

It was lucky he had stopped as just when he did as a cart carrying rubble and debris items lost a wheel and dumped its contents right in the path Jexz had been running. He exhaled at the close call and continued his way walking now

Sina made her way through town with relative haste, utilizing the raised walkways that ran through the town. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself, but at the same time, she didn't want to stay on this planet too long either. This whole place had a rather unpleasant feel to it. The sun was shining. A nice breeze was blowing. People were walking about smiling and chatting with each other for frack's sake! It was so god-awful it made Sina want to puke. But as she went speed walking down the road, she was suddenly stopped dead in her tracks by a glorious sight. Large structures loomed across the outspread grounds downhill from the thoroughfare on which she stood, and large holographic sign down the road from her read Knossa Research Plaza. It was beautiful. Down below, behind these huge facilities Sina could see clusters of tanks that held various chemicals, their elemental identifications written on the sides of the tanks in bold lettering, and hazardous chemical signs dotting the clusters. She could hear the grinding and groaning of durasteel being worked from a large warehouse that was undoubtedly an engineering facility. She saw a massive area full of pits that mimicked various habitats with creatures moving about within, undoubtedly being studied. In the distance, she could even make out what appeared to be a large, ring-shaped structure that was likely a partial accelerator. And the plaza (which was really more like a city in and of itself) stretched on as far as she was able to see. It was truly beautiful!

As Sina stood there, something moved inside her cloak around her waist. A long, thin tail with hard scales like an alligator's began swishing back and forth under her cloak, the end flashing visibly as her cloak swayed to and fro. She had kept her tail wrapped around her waist for the whole trip thus far, to keep it hidden. Devaronians didn't have tails, but Sina did. An unexpected byproduct of genetic experiments she had performed on herself. Most Devaronian women didn't have horns either. Sina had those as well, hidden under the hood of her cloak, and they far surpassed most males' in size. Sina was a scientist, through and through, and she was awestruck by the plethora of research facilities she saw laid out before her. "Mmmmph!" Sina rocked back and forth on her heels, biting her lip, and glanced back and forth from the plaza to the Library looming down the road in the distance. She reeeaaalllyy wanted to go down and investigate all the different research facilities that lay before her. She felt like a child standing in front of an ice cream shop/pet store/toy store, all rolled into one. But no! She must focus. She was here to investigate the Jedi Library. It was of the utmost importance that she get inside and see if what she believed was true, before it was too late. Gritting her teeth, Sina forced herself to turn on her heels and march down the street towards the Library again.

As Sina walked, though, a sudden tremor in the force made her stumble. Sense was a force ability Sina was rather strong in, and her head immediately darted to her right where she saw a load-bearing cart full of construction debris tumble over in the road. But it wasn't the crash that had drawn her attention. A young boy had been running where the cart had overturned, and he had by some sort of miracle, suddenly stopped short and avoided being crushed. Some might have assumed the boy had some surprisingly quick reflexes, but Sina had felt the force being used down there. The boy was cloaked much like Sina (though his cloak was much more tattered and dirty) and as the boy made his way around the rubble, Sina caught a glimpse of durasteel under his cloak. Some sort of knife or dagger, she would guess from the quick glance she got at it.

The boy struck her as peculiar. It wasn't unheard of for Jedi to carry around personal trinkets or even weapons other than their lightsabers, but for a boy of his age to be carrying a concealed weapon like that on a peaceful planet like this? Was he a Jedi? Or something else? She didn't know for sure that he was a force-sensitive, but she could sense that he was somehow connected to the tremor in the force she had just felt. As the boy walked on down the road below, Sina snapped the hood of the cloak around her head, ensuring that it was secure and followed after him, walking along the raised walkway above and a little behind him. She kept her eyes on him the whole time as they approached the Library. The boy was interesting, but she did have to keep her goal in mind. If he wasn't going to the library, then she would let him go.

Jexz continued on his route, his eyes looking around. The truth was that his blood was pumping now, a rush of adrenaline. Mixing that with the feeling he was getting from the planet. The way it felt alive and pulsed with activity. From the workings of durasteel to the simple actions of those wandering around doing their business. Even with the slight twinge of pain, he felt in its undercurrent he continued on.

For a while he was lost in his own thoughts and feeling, he had no way of hiding his presence or connection to the force. Nor was he aware that he might be giving it off as he was doing this. In truth, it was part of him, something he had done as long as he could remember. For as long as he could remember he had felt the planet he had been on, assuming it was what everyone else had felt and wasn't until he had left that planet and felt something else that he realized that it was the place he was that had its own almost uniqueness to it.

A shiver ran down his back at the light breeze that had picked up. No one seemed to pay him much attention as he weaved through the crowd, those that did look at him simply looked at him with a level of pitty. Nothing more than another beggar on the street, another street rat kid that might steal your credits if they were not held onto tightly.

He paused looked up in his tracks for a few moments, moving towards a couple that was doing nothing more than enjoying the day and having a simple conversation. Two human males, one man whos fat was a stark contrast against that of his friend who was trim and well built. Both of their hands showing scars and almost a leathery look to them

"Excuse me, which was to the Library"

Jexz asked the men looked at each other before the fatter man poked a sausage-like finger to the left

"Head that way kid"

with that, they returned to the conversation as though Jexz hadn't even been there in the first place, with a mutter of thanks he continued on his way, Taking a path through the flowing crowd as he approached the entrance to a bazaar close by, but he continued past it, the flux of people had increased in this area, crowding the path further. He was starting to struggle to squeeze through the crowd now given how busy it was here. But sure enough with his small frame, he managed to do that. But even as he did make his way through the crowd he couldn't help but get a gut-twisting sickness at the crowd of people. His mind running through multiple thoughts of being alone in a crowd of people. The last time he had been in such a situation he had almost been a victim of a mob.

As soon as he was through Jexz bolted to a side street, placing his hand against the wall taking in deep breaths. Its okay, he thought to himself, nothing happened it's all okay. Just breath and suck it up. His eyes scanned the alleyway for a few moments before turning and placing his back against the wall closing his eyes and started to zone everything out. Nothing else mattered, he had to focus on nothing more than the feel of the planet, the way it felt. The throb to it, the warmth it gave him. Letting the feeling wash over him, reaching out to connect to the force around him. Ignoring the people, pushing it all to the back of his mind. His hand made its way to his neck, taking the small necklace from there and began to rub the stone between his finger and thumb, an act of comfort to him.

Soon the expression on his face changed from that of sickness and discomfort to a neutral expression again, releasing the necklace he continued out of the side street. Looking at the distance and there it was a building. Almost glowing gold from the sun-kissed light of the day

Sina continued to follow the young man as he made his way through the crowded streets. Sina kept to the raised walkways mostly so that she would be harder to notice. But she kept the young boy in her sights at all times. She was quite curious about him, and her inquiring mind couldn't simply let him go after he had piqued her interest.

As the two ran, Sina reached out to feel the force surrounding the boy. He seemed sure of where he was going, but aside from that, he didn't seem very sure of anything. In fact, he almost seemed to be having some sort of minor panic attack. How peculiar. Another sign that this boy was probably not a Jedi, as the Jedi we're trained to conquer their emotions. But then, as the boy ran into a side alley, Sina felt him suddenly calm himself. That was certainly interesting. Perhaps he had had some training in the force?

After a few moments, the boy seemed to have calmed down and he began to move once again, weaving through the crowd and making his way in a singular direction. It was clear he had a destination in mind, and further they went, the more Sina began to think that his destination was the same as her own. He certainly seemed to be making a bee-line for the Jedi Library, as they could see it now in the distance. Sina wondered why he was heading there. Slowly, gently, Sina began reaching out with the force to probe his mind. She tried to be unnoticeable to the boy, but if he was indeed trained in the arts of the force, he might be able to tell. She tried to coerce his mind into giving up his secrets. What was his purpose here? What was he after? Who was he? If the boy did not in fact know how to guard his mind against the force, the answers should become clear to her. Although, Sina wasn't exactly a master at this kind of stuff either.

He continued on his way towards the building in the distance, there was a temptation tickling in the back of his mind to start to run again. But getting this close to a place he wanted to go unnoticed wasn't the wisest of actions to do.

Almost now absentmindedly he was weaving and flowing into the thick of the crowd that was heading that way, pulling the rags of his cloak around his body to make it harder to see him, it also made it easier to be lost in the ebs and flow of the crowd given that he had a larger cloak on his body.

He felt something for a moment like a tiny twinge in the back of his head, this caused the boy to slow his pace half a step as he looked over his shoulders. Nothing stood out to him at this point.

He had never gotten the chance to explore his smuggling future ever since his adoptive father figure disappearance. Sure he could ask gramps for help but something told him now wasn't the time to bug him about things. Then there was that religious guy offering to help him, the brief encounter with that sith and that planet. That planet.......how much he had wanted to.......wait why was he thinking on these things, he kept them buried for a reason, he always ran from his past, never looking back. A moment of guilt would be present before slamming down deep again

His emotions flared as his memory turned to a moment of pain for him, someone was doing something to his head and he had no idea if this would help or do anything, he had no experience either it was one of the reasons he was heading to try and look things up.

GET OUT MY HEAD !!

Thats when he thought of the pain of the fire, the burning of skin he felt, the anger and pain. But in so doing this force connection wildly pulsed uncontrolled, almost grabbing at the force around him.

He had stopped walking now, leaning against the wall. Sweat dripping from his brow. He was nearly at the steps now leading to the entrance of the library

Don't worry, she's friendly, she just punches people a lot
Her fist impacted the guard's face before he had a chance to react.

The punch to his temple would knock him out immediately. His partner tried for his blaster, but a flash of power from her eyes blinded the Imperial guard. Landing off the table she slid across, she dashed across the distance and grabbed the blaster and the second guard's arm. A knee to the ribs sent them to the ground, the follow up kick to the face made sure they didn't get back up. She threw the blaster away with a scoff.

These two somehow noticed her, even though she'd spent the last half an hour taking the time to scale the outside of the Library, so she could sneak in undetected. Not even mentioning how hard it was for her to even get on Ossus in the first place, that was an entirely different story. The Library had been almost completely destroyed by the Sith attack, and if they had their way the knowledge inside would probably burn.

Aliyah was not okay with that idea.

Usually it would be her brother or father that would go on a crazy mission like this, but they were gone now. She didn't have to do this, but she felt that if she could collect even a little knowledge and bring it back home with her, the Jedi would be better off for it. Her Jedi Stealth Armor made her look like any other spacer, except she wasn't allowed into the Library. Technically, no civilians were, but the guards only bothered with the stuff they thought was important. It was the holocrons, in the lower levels, that made the library worth it's weight in gold. She vaulted off the second level's balcony and fell gracefully to the floor below, Aliyah's face shining with pain as she remembered how the room used to look.

Nothing was how it was supposed to be. Blaster holes, lightsaber marks, explosion damage... what? A familiar presence started flittering just outside her senses. She turned in the direction she sensed it, and frowned. That didn't make any sense, there shouldn't be other Jedi here, it was way too dangerous. When the presence got closer, though, she recognized it was that boy from the Jedha markets. The one Venatus was talking to. And... he was panicking?

"Damn it. Couldn't just be a quiet mission...."

Turning towards the entrance instead of the stairs to the lower temple, calmly opening the doors with a sigh. Both the girl and boy would be able to see the only guard at the entrance turn around and gasp.

"Hal-"

She raised her hand and sent him flying into the statues behind him, he flopped to the ground silently. Turning towards Jexz with her hands across her hips, she motioned for him to come inside quietly. She didn't know why he was here, but this wasn't a place force sensitives should be, especially with the Sith running around. She though Venatus had already warned him. Perhaps he didn't know, but both most of her family was dead now because they trusted the goodness of a Sith. She wasn't letting anyone else make that mistake. As soon as he entered, she'd close the door. The rope she used to climb to the second story was still around the back, and the door wasn't locked.

"What are you doing here?"

When we started this thread, I asked a mod if Ossus was currently in Imperial hands or under attack by the empire and they said no. But, after Autumn's post I did some digging, and sure enough Ossus does seem to be under Imperial occupation. That being the case, we are making some changes to the scenery to reflect, and I would like to include Sina's lightsabers in her equipment for this thread.
Sina was surprised at how easily she was able to illicit a response from the boy. She wasn't able to get an answer to the actual question, but still. His initial reaction to her probing was for his mind to drift back to a past of smuggling-related activities. So he was a smuggler? Or at least he had been involved in something like that at one point. Sina sensed some sadness related to the loss of a loved one. The boy's father? Perhaps? She was still training herself to read the thoughts of others, so she couldn't be entirely sure, but she thought it was something like that. And there was another family member, still alive, but estranged. Someone he knew might be able to help him but whom he couldn't contact currently for some reason. But this was all pointless drivel. She hadn't been looking for his life story, Sina wanted to know why he was here? Why now? Why did he appear to be heading to the library? What was he after?

As Sina prepared to push her probe further into the boy's subconscious, she was suddenly, and unceremoniously cast out. With a sudden surge of the force, the boy's voice echoed through her head and she was forced back. Quite literally in fact, as she opened her eyes and stumbled backwards, almost running into a squad of Imperial soldiers in the process. They were Imperial Foreign Legion by the looks of them. Their ragtag collection of armor was a dead giveaway. The IFL was always present on newly-occupied planets like this. There were always a gaggle of missions available to them, most notably counter-insurgency, in the immediate aftermath of an invasion like what this planet had just been through. One of the helmeted soldiers growled at Sina. "Watch your step peasant." The squad continued jogging past and down the battle-scarred walkway. Sina made a mental note. If she had time latter, she would find that squadron and teach them a thing or two about the difference between a simple peasant and a Sith Knight. But right now she had more pressing matters at hand.

That blast of force energy had been surprising. The boy had clearly detected her infiltration into his mind, and not only that, but he had pushed her out as well! That was unexpected. Clearly he was aware of the force and knew how to harness it, even if it was a little unrefined. The amount of power he had just harnessed, made her wonder if he was even stronger than herself in the force. This was more than a little unsettling and annoying for Sina, but it was also intriguing! This specimen required further study.

Sina was about to try and probe his mind again, when there was a sudden disturbance in the force. They were right outside the library by now, and she could tell the disturbance was coming from within. Sina couldn't tell what it was, but suddenly, an Imperial Defense Forces guard came flying across the entryway into the library, disappearing to the other side of the hall with a thud that one could only assume was his body striking the wall. Sina crouched behind the guardrail of the walkway she was on and watched as a purple-skinned twi'lek woman peeked out from the library entrance and seemed to beckon the boy forward.

This was surprising. Ossus was occupied by the Empire now. All major cities were crawling with Sith and Imperial soldiers. Sure, there may have been some pockets of resistance remaining, but for someone to actually sneak into the Great Library like this... Clearly the Imperials were not taking the security of such an important place seriously. Sina made a note of where the two had entered the structure and began to move. A place like the Great Library had a number of entrances, and the one where the woman and the boy had entered was only one such entrance. Sina made her way around to another.

As she approached the entrance, Sina saw the paltry number of guards stationed there. Clearly an oversight that needed to be corrected. As she approached, preparing to inform the guards of the infiltration she had just witnessed, Sina suddenly got an interesting idea. Instead of running up and calling out to the guards, she simply walked calmly up to them like nothing was the matter. Tapping on her wrist data pad, she held up a hologram of her Imperial ID and designation. "This is who Sina is. You will step aside and allow Sina entry into the Library." The guards glanced at each other in confusion. "Forgive us mistress, but we weren't informed of any investigators entering the structure today?" Sina frowned at the man's helmet. "You question Sina's motives!? Sina is an operative of the Sith! And a Knight of the Empire! You will allow Sina entry into the library now, or you will summon your commanding officer so Sina can have words with someone at least slightly more competent than yourself!" The guard's back straightened in fear. The Sith looked like a little girl, but she knew how to talk like a full-fledged Sith for sure. "Forgive me ma'am! Please, enter." The guard said standing to the side to let Sina pass. Sneering, Sina walked down the hall into the library. Once in, she broke into a sprint, heading back in the direction of the entrance where the Twi'lek and the human boy had passed through. She passed the occasional Imperial guard roaming the halls as she ran. She had planned on informing the guards of the infiltration of the two beings who she felt strongly now were actually Jedi, but she had thought better of it. If they were Jedi, then they must be here for something. And if she followed them, perhaps she could gain access to areas of the library that were as-of-yet un-pilaged, and the vast wealth of knowledge that lay within.

He felt somewhat woozy for a few moments, as though his energy fell out of his feet for a few moments. It did not take him too long to recover, but he certainly felt it. Taking in deep breaths as he reached out to the planet again to calm himself. Relaxing and feeling everything around him, it was as he was doing this he felt a sudden twinge. Something familiar. His eyes opened to look over towards the Library noticing a familiar face and a guard on the ground?

What was going on?

Seeing the becking motion towards him as he made his way over somewhat hesitant as he slipped inside the building. Only now realising the damage to the building. His eyes looking over its scars and wounds of the structure. What that what he had felt before? The undertone of the planet when he arrived.

Looking back at to Aliyah and hearing her question he turned to look back around again

"I...........I came to come here, to the library. Someone told me this was the place to come, that this was where people read about things. I wanted to understand it more......"

He was going to say something else after that but fell silent. There was more to it than that, a momentary pang of shame washed over him as he thought back to only a few days ago it seemed.

"Its getting harder to.....control"

He muttered for a moment still somewhat ashamed., his thoughts turning back to the day on the planet. The day he had been tempted to attack a person. But also knew how people were starting to notice him more often, it was as though he had turned a tap on and couldn't turn it off.

His eyes looked down towards the ground for a moment as he began to walk a few paces deeper into what was left of the inside of the library

As Jexz stepped forwards to look over the inside of the Library some more, he noticed the damage, the marks from blasters and sabres. It looked as though there had been a fight in here, a rather nasty one at that. His hand reached out to touch the scorch marks on the wall. Jexz felt sad about what had happened here, it was as though his body was being pushed down by heavy water running over his body. He took his hand away chewing on his tongue a bit and looked back over his shoulder

"What are you doing here? What happened?"

Since this isn't a PvP, anything in your inventory can pop into your hand. For PvPs though, you have to state what you've got post one, and it can't change after that. So you know.
Her lekku folded back slightly as the boy said that he'd heard this was the place to come and read, to come and learn. Who in the bloody Galaxy told him that? When it was a Jedi Temple, this would probably have been the safest place for him. But it wasn't exactly hidden that the Sith had attacked the place. Her eyes grew softer when he said he wanted to understand, and that he was finding the Force harder to control. It was true, he was a lot more powerful than the last time she'd met him. Aliyah remembered the day she was taken in by the Jedi... she'd nearly killed someone by throwing a table into them in a fit of anger.

"...well, I hope you trust whoever sent you here. This used to be a safe place, but right now it's really dangerous. For both of us, but for you especially. Nobody's taught you anything about the Force yet, have they?"

She already knew the answer. Aliyah had no idea what Dad might've had planned with the kid, maybe he would've brought him to the Order or trained him on his own like he'd done for her... but that was beside the point. They were here now, basically trapped in a giant maze of a destroyed library, with very few options for getting out without having to fight the entire Empire. It was bad enough coming here on her own, but at least she could deal with things quietly. But Jexz couldn't mask his sensitivity like she could, and he radiated the Force all over the place, any force sensitive with half a brain would be able to find him in seconds. And considering the kind of Sith she'd been running into recently... Aliyah was happy she found him first. The Dark Lord was never a fun house guest. Aliyah turned around and started walking down the length of the library's main chamber. There was barely anything left of it. When she was asked what happened, she chuckled gently.

"Master Shivaaga happened. The Sith attacked this place some time ago, we tried to hold them back. Obviously... didn't go very well. Me? I'm seeing if there is anything worth bringing back to the Order."

Aliyah paused. She grabbed her lightsabers on her belt as she turned around completely, like she was staring at someone or something through the walls. For a second there, Aliyah could've sworn she sensed a dark presence. But it had only been there for a second. Still, she reached out with the Force in all directions, sending out mental probes to see if she could find anyone else in the library. She wasn't a chump when it came to fighting, and she'd dealt with some pretty dangerous Sith before. But if that could be avoided this time around, all the better, she really didn't feel like dealing with a huge firefight just to escape. Unclipping both of her sabers, she looked over at Jexz for a second, before looking back down at her first lightsaber, then back up again. Before she second guessed herself, she passed the hilt to the boy. Her second lightsaber stayed in her right hand, ready to activate if needed.

"I have a feeling you might need that... but I'm going to want it back when this is over."

Sina froze in the middle of the hallway she had been running down. It was a reaction driven purely by instinct. As if stopping her movement would prevent her from being detected by the force. It would not. She quickly shut herself off mostly from the force and only held on to her Sense ability. She might still be detected by a skilled force-wielder, but she would be harder to feel at least. She could feel someone sweeping the area through the force, looking for something. Likely looking for people like Sina. Other force users who might be a threat. This must have been the Jedi she had seen earlier. It only made sense. Who else would be scanning the area for other force-users? Sina hadn't seen any Sith guarding or patrolling the library (another mistake by the Empire). The Jedi had to be scanning for Sith, like Sina, so she could avoid detection. But Sina could use this. Carefully, she felt the direction from which the pulses in the force were coming. It was kind of like radar in a sense. The pings were coming from the Jedi, and if Sina wasn't careful, she might be detected (she may have already been). But, by feeling the pings as they passed, she could slowly but surely triangulate the Jedi's current position. That was a rather rudimentary explanation of how it worked, but it was the best metaphor Sina could think of.

Sina walked silently in the direction of the course of the disturbance in the force she was feeling, and then, quite suddenly, there he was. It was the boy, Sina was sure. She could recognize the feel of him. It was like he was radiating the force from every pore in his body. As she had surmised before, the boy was untrained in the force. He definitely had some strength, but it was unrefined at the moment. And if that wasn't enough, he couldn't even keep the force flowing within himself contained. Just as it was out on the road, Sina could feel him moving about as though he were walking around shouting at the top of his lungs. The boy seemed to be near Sina's estimated location for the Jedi. Made sense. The way the Jedi had beckoned to him, Sina surmised that either the Jedi recognized him from somewhere, or perhaps was simply trying to keep him from blundering into a dangerous situation. Or maybe it was a bit of both. Regardless, following the pair would be much simpler than Sina had thought it might be if the boy was going to be radiating the force like this the entire time. This was good news for Sina.

Stopping at a corner where two corridors intersected, Sina leant back against the wall and carefully peeked out and down the hall. The boy was just down there a little ways. Maybe the distance of a city block? She could feel every which way he moved. It was perfect for her plan. If these two (or at least the Jedi) were up to what she thought they might be up to, then Sina wanted to see just how they did it. The only thing in this place worth risking one's life for was knowledge. Ancient texts, artifacts, even Jedi holocrons. If the Jedi was here to recover something... Something that hadn't been spirited away before the invasion, then it must be one of these things. And, Sina was willing to bet that it would be in the vaults below the structure.

The library was a rather massive structure, and it was said that the Jedi kept many treasured artifacts within. Some of the most valuable were in the towers. Sina was sure that they had all either be saved before the war spilled in to the library, or looted afterwards. But, then... There were rumors that there were even greater and more valuable treasures and information caches in hidden vaults under the foundation of the building. This was where Sina desperately wanted to investigate. But, she had to find out how to get in. This was where the Jedi would come in handy. If she was here to retrieve important data or artifacts (ones that hadn't already been saved or looted) then she must be heading for the vaults. Sina planned to follow the Jedi and the boy there, to see how they got in. After that, she would have all the time in the world to sort through the priceless data that was held under lock and key. Sina snickered to herself. It was almost too good to be true. To think that she had just been thinking on her way here that she would need a Jedi to accomplish her goals, and she just so happened to stumble across one upon her arrival. Perhaps Sina's stars were aligned today.

He looked over at Aliyah for a moment chewing on his tongue a bit taking in a deep breath as he exhaled it slowly. Reaching up he began to rub at the necklace that hung under there. His shirt was mostly torn and tattered now, giving way to showing the scars on his body. But the robe did a good job at keeping them mostly covered where the shirt was unable to. He shrugged his shoulder some at that

"Just an old man I once knew at Ryloth, he used to give me some of his food when I was struggling to eat. I trust him but his information tends to be a bit outdated at the best of times. Also, most people don't talk to him as he is a little bit.......well let's say that spice had taken its toll on him over the years. He used to threaten to beat me if I ever started the spice running"

He didn't respond to the question about being taught anything of the force at first. He was continuing to look around the damage inside, bending down and pushing some of the debris away. It was an old habit of his to look under rubble and ruins for anything of value. But it wasn't that he was looking to steal or take anything. The truth was it kept him busy and active. The way this placed looked, and the comment about this place used to be safe but now was dangerous. He needed to distract himself for a bit, or at least long enough to think things through fully.

"A man named Kane on Jedha told me a bit about it, he also showed me how to use a blade a bit, learned how to move things some from what he said. After that I started to attempt things, pushing off from the ground rather than pushing objects. Using myself as the object to move over the rock or pebble. Reaching out around me rather than in front of me. I can move things with somewhat ease, moving tends to end up not happening or throwing me off balance"

He responded, thinking back to the night on Jedha where he had gone for a run, only to end up crashing through someone's home when he tried to jump a gap and ended up launching himself sideways through the air.

Looked back at Aliyah as he stood up from the crouched position he was in looking through the rubble and ruins, he watched her closely. Mainly observing her Lekku see if there were any telltale signs of trouble or problems. She had said that it was more dangerous for him than it was for her in the end. Was that because she was trained and could fight and handle herself better, or was it because he was unable to control himself. People had been able to pick up that he had abilities before they so much as saw him use them in the past. A frown came across his face

"Am I endangering you?"

He asked simply and openly looking at her. He wanted to know if he should run for it and leave her behind, give her a chance to be fine. If he got to the streets losing a person would be easy for the most part, every street had a darker side to it. Aside from that most people didn't look at out of disgust or just ignorance, where beggars ran wild and the chances were high you would lose your credits if you were not careful.

He was about to ask a question about what it was she was hoping to find before seeing her spin around staring at the wall. His frown deepened a bit, the temptation to reach out towards that wall and see what it was she was looking at teased at him. The temptation was all too much as he attempted to feel outwards towards the wall. Of course, by doing this he drew at the force around him like a wild mynock on a rampage through a power plant. He was so focused on trying to reach forwards that he hadn't noticed the saber being offered towards him until she spoke.

His eyes went wide seeing the hilt, he knew exactly what that was. He had seen it before but never seen it actually used before. His hand reached out carefully to take the hilt from you. Taking in its size and shape. The temptation to turn it on buzzed through his body but he pushed it back. Gramps for sure would have beaten him three different shades if he caught him ever messing about with a weapon and not treating it with respect.

It felt light, lighter than his collapsable vibro blade. He looked up from the hilt towards Aliyah again

"you sure you won't need it more than me? I only have had some training with a vibro blade"

The boy's answer was something along the lines of what she'd expect. Somebody he trusted gave him the wrong information. For his sake, she hoped it was an entirely accidental thing and it would never happen again. Aliyah just kept breathing calmly and searching through the force as she answered him. "You really have to be keeping on top of these things. Especially in a warzone." She turned slightly, sighed, and blurted out, "...the old man's right. Don't start with spices, it's a bad spiral." Not that she had any firsthand experience, but she had friends that tried that kind of stuff. And they just kept getting worse and worse. Her arms gently crossed as the kid just started to go around and look at the battle damage. This stuff could be unstable, half the Temple could collapse, and they where probably not alone. Wandering around was not really a good idea. She didn't say anything yet, not until she heard about Kane.

Kane. Tynian's Master. She'd worked with him before and was going to be working with him again very soon. Why hadn't he brought Jexz to the Temple? If for no other reason than to give him a choice whether he would want to learn or not? Didn't matter now, though she was- what?! She felt it for only a second, again, as though it was a residual Dark Side aura. It wasn't strong, not as strong as the ones she felt recently, but it was worrying enough that her probing immediately went to that area only. Her eyes began to crackle with power gently, her lekku bending inwards as she gritted her teeth. "Kane is a good teacher, but there are some things even he can't teach you..." she paused and turned as he asked his question, her face becoming softer. "No, you're not. You just have to learn to concentrate and hold that aura inside. Circle it around you like a blanket, and most other force sensitives won't be able to find you." She raised her finger as a visual aide and spun it in a circle gently.

She didn't forget about that little dark whisper she felt earlier. Turning towards a staircase that led downstairs, she began to walk ahead. This was she could lead them both to where she needed to go. When Jexz asked if she was sure, she shook her head gently and smiled, turning her eyes back towards him. "The kyber crystal inside will guide your hand. Trust in the Force, let it flow into your movements, you'll be using that thing no problem." It was true, all a force-user needed to do was open themselves up to the Force. A vibro-sword wasn't so different from a lightsaber, but a lightsaber was a manifestation of physical force energy. It belonged in the hands of a force user. Besides, that was her first lightsaber, it was with her through every mission and fight she'd ever been a part of. The memory of those fights lived inside the Kyber, and that alone was enough to make the blade safe to handle. "Besides, I think we have company." Waving him forward, she slinked down the stairwell to the basement of the library itself. Large wooden doors stood in their way, and there didn't seem to be any key. Luckily, Aliyah knew what to do, and reached out her hand, grabbing the doors. And slowly dragging them open.

Sina was impatient. It was taking an awful long time for the two she was following to get moving. Were they lovers or something? They at least clearly seemed to know one another. Sina couldn't hear what was being said from her vantage point, but she could tell that the two were talking to one another, and for a decently lengthy period of time. Annoying. She was here for information, not to eavesdrop on some lover's rendezvous. Get moving already. Sina actually thought about doing something to interrupt them and maybe scare them into action, but she thought better of it. The boy might not know what to make of it, but the Jedi woman would likely be able to feel her, and might even be able to pinpoint her location. So, Sina forced herself to wait patiently. Well... at least she forced herself to wait. That was about the best she could muster.

Finally the Jedi woman and the boy started moving, but not before the Jedi handed something over to the boy. Sina was much to far away to be able to tell what it was, but the move was clear and deliberate. This wasn't simply tossing something to her partner. She had just handed him something important. What it was, Sina wasn't sure, but she didn't like it. It could have been some sort of key or passcode to get into the lower vaults. Or it could have been a weapon. Either way, it bothered Sina that she didn't know what the thing was. It could be important to the accessing of the vaults beneath the library. Or maybe it was something that she was going to have to deal with at a later time. All she could do was watch and wait, and that annoyed her.

As the pair began to slip away, Sina slipped behind them. She maintained her distance, but kept them just barely in sight for most of the time. Whenever they might slip out of her sight line, she felt lightly for the boy's significant aura which leaked out through the area. Honestly, if there had been any masters or lords here, they probably would have felt the boy's presence from a mile away. Sina followed the two to the top of a flight of stairs where she stopped as the two walked down. Sina crouched low and peered just over the top step, ready to pull back if either of them looked back up, and still keeping her connection to the force held at an alarmingly low level. She watched as the Jedi grasped the handle of a large wooden door and pulled it open. Finally, they were heading somewhere at least slightly important. Sina hoped it would not take long to find the vaults that held the holocrons. She was after anything of value to her research, but the holocrons in particular were treasure troves of knowledge. Just getting ahold of one would be a feat. Gaining access to a whole vault full of them? Sina almost salivated thinking of the kind of information she could glean from such an endeavor. Reading through all of that information could take more than a lifetime. But, she could sort through it at her leisure. She would never be bored again.

Jexz nodded slowly. He had not thought that he was entering a war zone. In truth, he had been trying to stay out of any kind of war or fighting. By the sounds of what they had done to gramps it was not something he wanted to go through either. He began to move back towards Aliyah having explored the surrounding area more than enough for his liking and curiosity anyway

"Don't worry I have no intention of, one thing that I wanted to tell the guy that saved me was if I became a smuggler I didn't want to have anything to do with spice"

He had chosen to not say the name of the person that had saved him, for a moment a sadness washed over him as he thought back. Every time he thought on this person he felt nothing, it was like a pain he couldn't explain. But deep down he knew what it meant he just wasn't willing to accept it.

Looking back to Alliyah he raised his brows. She knew the man that he had met, keeping the saber pointing downwards and holding it firmly in his hand so he wouldn't drop it or lose it he smiled a bit

"He was a good teacher, showed me a few combat moves. Yeah, people often tell me to go a read something which would be fine if....."

He had gotten to relaxed around Aliyah having nearly revealed that he couldn't actually read, falling silent he looked around a bit

"....If I wasn't kicked out of most places for being nothing more than gutter trash"

He laced in a truth, as people did often kick him out of places for being what he was in the end. It wasn't the full truth but a part of it anyway. Something he learned ages ago was the best way to lie about something so people didn't pick up on it so easily.

He stopped in his tracks looking at you, thinking of a circle around him, to hold back his aura?.

Was it the same concept as the dam, the way that the force had been explained to him as a mass of water behind a dam and every time he got angry or emotional it cracked it causing a sudden surge of water to burst out.

"If reaching outwards senses others then what if I....."

He muttered to himself and then started to think of pulling into him. Not reaching out and pulling his connection towards him. It partly did what he was asking to do as a piece of rock hurtled towards him and slapped him on the leg

"okay not pull......blocking off with a circle.....that only does outwards......what about"

he muttered a bit thinking it all through, and imagined a bubble around him, closing his eyes thinking of a bubble all the way around. He stood there for a few moments not sure if it was working or not, so instead, he tried mixing it up a bit reaching out with the force towards the bubble and imagining it swirling and stuck inside the bubble. Coiling and curving around it like smoke.

For a few moments it worked, but it didn't last long as his mind started to wander to other shapes such as a square, and then it all came crashing down and his force presence was there screaming out in the open for anyone to see once again.

"Its not that easy is it?"

He continued on moving with Aliyah, following her towards the staircase as he looked over the lightsaber as she said to trust in the force and it flows through his movements. He felt a slight hum like feeling with the saber hilt in his hand. It was almost a tingle up his arm now he really thought on it. Was that the Kyber Crystal she spoke of

"That must be some Crystal"

he said simply, but continued to move with you, frowning when you said they had company, he looked around and started to try and see anything or anyone that might be around, placing his back against the stairwell and looking at the door for a moment

"you said before it was dangerous for us, but especially me......what did you mean by that? Is it because of the Sith?.... I hope it isn't that Rutian, she stole my credits when I crashed on some planet she had been ordered to find by some Exiles or Warlords or something.....that planet through"

He went quiet for a moment going distant. Almost completely zoning out as he thought back to that time, the coldness and the way his emotions seemed to be heightened. There it was even here in this room though, not as great but he could sense it somewhere. He started to reach towards the undertone he felt when he landed on the planet, below the warm feeling and towards the colder one out of curiosity

As the doors creaked open, Aliyah's body gently relaxed. She didn't enjoy these things. Too big, too bulky, and it didn't help pulling them open manually was almost impossible. She had to put at least some of her telekinesis into it just to get the things to move. His comment about being gutter trash struck a cord with her in a way she hadn't expected it to. Aliyah had been a slave for the majority of her life, before the Jedi found her and her father rescued her from herself. She knew that feeling. "Nobody is gutter trash. You just gotta find your place." She didn't have any reason not to believe him. She walked through the doorway and into the next room, Jexz' little comments about the force lost in the background. When she finally entered the dark corridor, her left hand raised slightly. Focusing on the palm of her hand and swirling energy inside of it, she gently conjured a ball of fire in her hand to light the room up. What she saw caused her to shake her head in frustration.

Of course the Holocrons were gone. Some former Jedi probably looted the place right after the attack... but maybe they left something behind? It was a stretch, but Aliyah wasn't going to leave with nothing.

"Nothing is ever that easy. Try again, but concentrate this time, you are in control of your own presence." By this point she was half talking and half searching, pulling away piles of rubble and checking the small stands on the wall to see if maybe the holocrons were just hidden somewhere. The comment about her crystal just made her chuckle a little bit as her hand ran along the very back of the wall. Yea, it was a really good crystal, and a great saber, hadn't failed her yet. "Yea. The walls, mind searching them? Looking for anything out of place." Jexz was still outside leaning on the stairs, so she wasn't too worried. The dark presence she'd sensed earlier didn't seem to be popping back up again... yet. But Aliyah was ready for when it did. She didn't kill, not unless she didn't have a choice, but she had no problems putting the saber on stun and causing all sorts of bruises. His question about the Exiles and the Warlords concerned her a little bit, and when she started to feel him reaching out towards... something. Something cold, empty, dark. She knew that feeling too.

Wrapping her own powers around them both, she pushed the dark undertones away. That wasn't a safe place to be looking right now, not here. Everybody had to experience the Dark Side for themselves at some point, but there was a time and place, and this wasn't the time or the place. "It's because you're young, powerful, and have no idea what you're doing. The Dark Side is not something you play with, it will make you into something you never thought you could be. You won't even realize it until it's too late and you're well past gone. As for the Sith... on your own, don't go near them." Her voice started quivering for a second, thinking of her younger brother. They had a force bond, and because of that Force Bond she had felt when he was electrocuted to death. "They'll use you, turn you or kill you. There might be some of them that are okay, but you can usually tell. Unless you know how to fight, and I mean really know how to fight, don't take the risk. It's dangerous even for fully trained Jedi." Finally, her fingers touched something. A small click, pushing back a panel in the wall, and a small doorway opened. A single metallic voice emanated from inside this room, which seemed filled with... lightsaber stands?

"Hello. Bioscans indicate match to Jedi Knight Aliyah Phoenix. Secondary lifeform match an unidentified human male. My apologies, Knight Phoenix, but your presences in this vault is not authorized. If you would like access, please follow the proper procedures to request user privileges from Master-"

"Override. Master Atreides is dead, I'm collecting whatever is inside the vault for safekeeping."

"My apologies, Knight Phoenix, but you do not have the authority to override. Please vacate the vicinity."

The droid's began to leave the room and stare the girl down. Aliyah's lightsaber twitched in her hands. She didn't have the time to go get a Jedi Master right now, and these droids where hard programmed to protect that stuff. She didn't want to have to scrap it, but there wasn't a choice. Droid and Jedi faced down.

Both activated lightsabers.

Sina waited patiently. This was by far the most patient she had been, possibly ever. But it was necessary in order for her to gain what she had come here for. Knowledge. She wanted the information that lay stored deep within the vaults of this ancient place. It was more than just wanting it, yearning for it... She needed it. Her life, her purpose, her whole existence was defined by a need to search for answers to questions, some of which had yet to even be asked. The information for which she sought was hidden and locked away, and this Jedi was her map, and her key. She could wait for the right moment to strike.

As the Jedi and the boy made their way through the massive wooden doors at the bottom of the stairs, Sina continued to wait. She waited until they were out of sight and she could hear their voices moving away from the interior of the door then, silently, she dashed down the stairs, waiting until the last second to slip through as the door closed behind her. Using a small burst of force speed, Sina shot through the door and into the shadows of the large hallway within, making sure that she was unseen, though the Jedi and boy were further ahead down the hallway by this point.

Sina peered at them from behind some rubble, watching their movements carefully and moving down the hall slowly as they did, jumping from cover to cover. The Jedi seemed to be looking around quite a bit as she spoke to the boy, and so Sina did the same. Sina's heart dropped. Upon closer inspection, she could tell now that this was where the holocrons were kept. But the huge vault seemed empty. There was not a single holocron to be found. It was such a tragedy. So much information, lost. Well, at least lost to Sina, but that was the point. There was little-to-no evidence that the holocrons had been destroyed. In all likelihood, the holocrons had been removed by the Jedi before or during the invasion. But still, they had likely been moved far out of Sina's reach. It made her want to cry out.

However, as Sina wallowed in her own self-pity, the Jedi apparently found something. Sina immediately snapped out of her stupor as the Jedi flipped some sort of switch on the wall and another door opened. This time, a secret door opened in the wall and the Jedi strode in, followed by the boy. Amazing! Sina had been correct to follow this Twi'lek woman! There must still be secrets hidden beneath this place. Secrets that hadn't been discovered during the invasion. Secrets that were just waiting to be dug up. Sina dashed over to the smaller door. From within voices could be heard. The Jedi woman and the boy's, but a third voice as well. This one sounded metallic and authoritative. Peering around the door into the room, Sina saw a peculiar sight. The Jedi appeared to be facing down several large droids. The Jedi ignited her lightsaber, and the droids followed suit. Amazing! These must be some sort of automated security force that the Twi'lek was unable to deactivate. So the Jedi was going to have to fight her way in? Excellent. This would provide the perfect distraction for Sina. As the young sith pulled her twin lightsabers with their curved hilts off her waist and clutched them tightly in her hands, she considered her options. Did she take this opportunity to try and slip past the Jedi and the boy to try and find the treasures within first? Or did she strike out at the Jedi while her attention was focused on the immediate threat? Decisions, decisions...

When the doors had moved open, he looked over at her and then back at the doors. He had to admit part of him was surprised to have seen them moved. They looked rather heavy and large to move. Seems there was almost no limit to what one could pull or move with the power of the force. It was a remarkable and strong power to have. Something he could not help but wonder the consequences of abusing for a few moments.

His eyes looked over at her as she mentioned that no one was gutter trash and just needing to find his place. It took him back for a moment, no one had ever said that to him before. Everyone was always so concerned about position and money as well as other things that it was rare to see people actually say or seem different to that. At least it was rare for him

"Have to admit sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't had been brought up on Ryloth"

Following Aliyah into the dark corridor he saw the ball of light that she had generated or manifested out of what seemed like nowhere. How had she managed that? pulling and pushing objects seemed logical but making something appear out of nothing. He frowned looking at the ball of fire for a few moments before his eyes moved over to look around the room they were in. It looked as though it had been stripped. He saw Aliyah shake her head and half smiled a bit, he felt a bit sorry for her. She had traveled to come and hopefully save something only for the items to already be gone.

Nodding his head at her comment he closed his eyes and began to think once again of a circle around him, he continued to reach towards the more colder side of what he was feeling. There was something there and he was sure of it but what was it.

And just like that in his concentration, it was gone. Almost as though something and pushed it away and moved it somewhere else, his eyes opened looking over at Aliyah and heard her speak about the Dark side as he frowned some looking at her tilting his head at that.

"The Darkside? So this force has a counter to it? Sort of like night and day?"

He asked not really sure what to make of it, he had always thought when he had used what limited abilities he could of the situation is in the daytime, would that change if he thought of it as a night time situation?.

Jexz heard the quiver to Aliyahs voice as he took in a slow deep breath and nodded his head slowly, listening to her words of warnings of how they will try to turn or kill. Though there are different kinds. That comment made Jexz actually think some, he never liked the idea of people being branded the same thing just because of who they were or how they were brought up.

"Sometimes risks can't be avoided, but I tend to make a run for it rather than fight, A strong breeze would probably knock me over"

He said trying to make light of the darker trend the conversation had taken, slowly he closed his eyes and began to think again, making the circle turn into a ball around his body. Reaching forwards with the force he imagined what it would be like to touch the ball around him, would it be smooth or rough? Would it be cold or warm?. All these different things ran through his head but what was important was trying to focus on the ball. But then another thought came to mind. When someone pushed against the wall it felt like straining, the firmly rooted in place. Nothing could get past it short of blasting through with a weapon or explosion.

He began to change his way of thinking, not imagining a ball now but rather a wall around him. thinking back to how it felt to be held back and locked behind it. Unable to push past, nothing allowed to get out.......or for that matter in. That was it! he hadn't thought of stopping things trying to come in.

He thought on this some more, imagining a pushing force coming in towards him and an opposing force pushing out, touching each other like when rivers met. Now he thought of a wall, how would a wall react to this, it would stop the flow of water.

During all of his thoughts and concentration on this, his connection to the force flared and became suppressed. He was doing his best to mask his presence and was gaining some success with each attempt and variation that he tried, almost testing each aspect of it. The metallic voice made him jump however and snap his eyes open. What little wall he had managed to create to try and hide himself came crashing down once again.

He watched as the Droid didn't seem to be listening to what Aliyah had to say and was asking to vacate the vicinity. It was then he heard the hiss of a lightsaber igniting. His eyes went wide as he began to think to look at the droid and then at Aliyah. The droid had a saber and she had a saber. It looked as though it was programmed to fight and protect. If he went in there the chances were that it had been programmed to fight people who had actual full combat experience. Protect......something......

It was protecting something in that room, Aliyah was the closest at the moment which made her the most viable threat. So it would deal with her and then with him If he could somehow get the droid to rethink or recalculate maybe that might give Aliyah the upper hand.

He activated the saber as a blue blade extended from the hilt looking at it

"A sword that can turn off"

He chuckled a bit at the thought of such a weapon and turned to the nearest pillar that used to house some object that was now long gone and swung at it with the saber, slicing it through it. Maybe, just maybe the droids program would be to protect this room as well. And if it did maybe protect items was primary and itself secondary. Either way, he was about to find out and if it was him it was going to target next. Well, things might just get a little be interesting.

His eyes kept looking over at the room keeping track of anything else that might appear from it.
