Above the planet of Hoth, a sleek white starship shot towards the ice planet, leaving behind a light gray trail of smoke. Once entering the atmosphere, the ship instantly blended into the snowy environment, seeming to disappear from existence. On the contrary, the pilot continued to fly forward toward some destination, unknown to even him.

After a few minutes of flying above the snow, the pilot brought his ship to a stop and landed. The man leapt out of his ship, the cold obviously not bothering him, and began to walk towards a small hill. Once on top of the hill, the man's eyes closed, obviously concentrating on something. After a few moments, the snow itself below him seemed to tremble. Within seconds, the snow and ice was pushed away from a circular area in front of the man, revealing an old door.

The man opened his eyes and looked at the door, his facial expression never changing. He knelt down and opened the metallic door, feeling warm air rush out of the once enclosed space. Darkness crept upwards from the open space, but that did not seem to bother the man. Nothing really seemed to bother him. Without so much of a look back from where he came, the man jumped into the dark hole.

After a few seconds, the man landed in a dark cavern, obviously hidden well. But there was something strange, something puzzling. This was not how the man had left it a few years back, and he was sure he felt another presence in the cave. Obviously familiar with the layout of the cave, the man shrugged and continued on his path.

The Jedi vessel touched down on the frozen planet, Hoth. It stood out slightly: its red colour resembling a drop of Alderaan wine on a blank white canvas. Quill Arridius stepped down from the loading ramp, followed closely behind by his padawan Kirsoto.

"Kiri, here we are. Follow close, and stay warm. Hoth is a very dangerous planet, not because of it's creatures, but because of its elements. Freezing to death is far from uncommon here.

OOC: sorry i didn't reply, i didn't notice the thread

Kiri was wearing a coat with a high fur collar, which had been given to him by another Jedi. His breath curled up in misty wisps. He knew they were looking for a possible Jedi here, but where would they look? Kiri shivered. ''Y-yes master- I-i-will be c-c-c-carefulll'' He stuttered. He looked around the area they had landed. all he could see was snow. Excellent, if trouble arose, Kiri could manipulate the snow, as he knew it was frozen water. He was 'in his element'. He didn't say the pun aloud, it was too terrible.

Niveus continued on through the cave slowly, letting it lead him underground. Now he could easily feeling a presence in the force on the surface of Hoth above him. The man, covered in the darkness of the cave, closed his eyes and focused on the snow that was just above the ceiling of the cave. Then finally with one quick motion with his right hand, a silent whoosh was felt, as the snow was swept from underneath who was ever above him. Quickly, he lifted his right hand and placed the snow back where it was less than a second before, trapping the precense inside the snow, to atleast their necks.

With no expression at all, the man jumped straight up, morphing the rocks above him to form a small hole for the man to squeez through. As soon as he was out of the cave, he was inside of atleast six feet deep snow, but that wouldn't be a problem. Like a demon rising from the fire of hell, Niveus slowly appeared from the surface of the snow, finally laying eyes on two men trapped in his working. All he did was stare at the two, letting whatever fear they had pass, until he finally sent a quick message into their minds, letting them hear his quiet, raspy voice echo in their thoughts.

"Who are you?"

Quill closed his eyes in meditation once the figure arose. He knew that nothing would be gained by trying to physically struggle against the snow surrounding him and his padawan. He also knew they would have even more safety with Kiri's special ability to manipulate different forms of water, including snow. He answered back through telepathy so as not to break his meditation.

"I am Quill Arridius, and this is my padawan, Kiri."

Kiri closed his eyes, manipulating the snow to push both he and his master up, on a small platform. Once they had ejected themselves from the snow, Kiri shook it off his clothing. So this was the man they were to redeem? There was something...dark... about him.

Feeling the two men get out of the snow, Niveus pushed them both towards himself, then sank the two further into the snow with a bit of power. All that could be seen of the two now was their noses and above, and Niveus continued to keep the snow churning around their skin, letting the frostbite being to set in. Looking at the two with no expression, he spoke again into their thoughts.

"Why?"

Kiri felt a wave of the closest thing he had ever felt to fear when he looked at the man. He felt the snow churning around he and his master. Kiri kept a flow of the Mizu'Ka, stopping the worst of the snow from touching them. This man seemed... uncooperative. If they had to fight, Kiri could use all this snow to crush him. A coffin of ice. But only as a last resort.

"Are you going to kill us, friend?"

Quill said it without fear or hesitation, it was merely a simple question that he was going to use to redeem the fallen.

Friend... Niveus looked to the man with no emotion, simply staring into his soul. After a few moments, Niveus quickly tightened the snow around their throat, but after a second let the pressure relax. Breathing slowly, he pushed the two out of the snow with little more than a flick of the wrist, then turned his back on them. Slowly, he walked away, the word still bothering him. He had no friends...

Quill spoke to the man mentally from a distance.

"Your soul is not dark, friend. It is confused."

''Should i stop him, Master?'' Kiri could clamp the snow around his feet, and freeze it in place, if necessary. Though Kiri knew physical action would not be a good idea. He watched as Master Quill exchanged telepathically projected thoughts with the dark man.

Quill waved his hand as a gesture to stay Kiri.

"No Kiri. You have the advantage of element, but this battle is not one of the blade. It is one of the soul."

Kiri bowed his head. ''Yes Master. Of course. I am eager to see how we will achieve this. He seems very uncoopreative.'' Kiri looked over to the man with the dark soul, and felt pity for him.

HE was confused? He? How could these fools be making such assumptions? Clenching his fists, Niveus turned and stared at the two. Breathing calmly, he slowly brought up his hand and looked at his palms, staring. He was the same as them, wasn't he? Or was he DIFFERENT. He was always DIFFERENT!

Closing his eyes, Niveus brought his head down, letting the force begin to circle him. Snow began to rotate around the man, as various thoughts ran rampid through his mind. Like the storm in his mind, clouds began to swirl above the two men in front of Niveus, the force gathering within his fingertips.

"Why? Why?"

Quill felt sorrow. Deep, unimaginable sorrow. The man in front of him was lost and confused, and his mind was chaotic, yet he doubted that the man would let him help. Still, with tears streaming, the Gen'dai reached out.

"Let me. Please, let me."

Kiri's eyes widened as he noticed the stormclouds gathered overhead. ''Master! Careful!'' He called out as he noticed him reaching towards the strange man. Kiri's hands formed a seal for meditation, and he focused himself, looking for the tendrils of the Mizu'ka flowing from the man. They were focussing in his fingertips. If he struck...

Seeing the man reach out towards Niveus, he raised his hand and thrust out a wave of the force. Masses of snow in front of Niveus shot out towards the man's hand, batting it easily away. He needed no assistance. Keeping his head steady, he sent out a message to both of the men.

"Leave me be."

Quill's pleading was over. No more mental messages were sent by Quill, and he now spoke loud and firm.

"No. I will not. I will die here if I have to, but I will not leave you to your own demise. What you have is not power, it is a desecration of what you are capable of, and I will not let it consume you."
