Time For A Strike

Captain Henzel stood with his squad, helmed in the black armour of the Shock commandos. He replied. ''Terrorist cell, we shall not back down to your unacceptable request!'' Shock troopers were busy punishing security personnel, retaking their positions. He raidoed in more support. Another platoon would join shortly.

 

[The Balance]

Kyle sighed, "If you want it your way then, I am truly very sorry." And with that everything aimed at them fired all 200+ shots from the original army and speeders. Then it was followed up by the ring of the turrets pumping bullets into the area where the sith troopers were. Meanwhile Kyle radioed the plantery defense force from the patch he got from the governor's office telling them not to let any more ships into the planet. It was a sad fate for these troopers he had offered them salvation, but instead they turned it down to die for their corrupted cause, it truly was a shame.

 

[Wing]

Dilios quickly ignited his lightsaber and then began fighting Sith troopers he saw approaching him. After deflecting their blaster shots and vibroblades, he cut through them. He then went to the Midnight Man's side. "Orders, sir?"

 

[Santoro]

By the time the Phoenix had left hyperspace, Caden was up and alert. He was frantically working the copilot controls, stabilizing all of the systems he could as Santoro piloted an orbit. Within a few minutes, he was meters off the ground, flying as fast as he could, his sensors scanning in all directions... And something went off. Santoro smiled confidently, then stopped, confused. Below? They're underground? He shook his head, and put the ship down gently, shutting down all the systems he could to avoid detection. He looked to Caden.

"I need you to wait here. If you come under attack, then leave, bring the ship back to the Midnight Men base and dock it there, no heroics... Got it?"

Caden simply nodded. Santoro stood and turned, buckling his belt and grabbing a pack on the floor. He slung it onto his back, and went into the back armory for a minute.

Soon, Santoro came out and armed. He slung an acid rifle over his back, and holstered a small rocket pistol, with an extra clip. He lowered the ramp, and walked out, closing it and locking it tight behind him. He took out a scanner, and found a weak spot in the rock. He drew a lightsaber, and cut a hole, dropping down into a small work shaft. He covered his mouth, and headed deeper into the base, switching off his lightsaber and withdrawing his presence in the Force.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

Ruukil looked at the midnight man and then back down at the sith. Gom still holding his sniper had his crosshairs on the officer known as Captain Henzel."I have an officer in my sights give me the word.sir.
Not yet Gom, you can fire on Midnights word. dont let him leave your sights. Use a high powered shot if need be."Ruukil no longer was set to be a sniper and was aiming at a sith soldier about fourty meters away.

 

[The Balance]

"Right now" Kyle said choking up as he heard the news of Adriana's capture, "pray." He finished looking at his feet everytime, something went wrong on a mission his fault or not, Kyle blamed himself. And this was alot bigger than most mistakes, the force only knew what santoro was doing right now, but whatever the jedi was doing, Kyle was sure it was the right thing. Then turning to Ruukil he said, "have your men fire at will, if these bastards don't want to be helped then, just kill them all." The hatred was obvious in his voice, he was upset.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Sir. open fire!"Ruukil looked at the jedi next to The Midnight Man. Gom fired, killing the officer Captain Henzel instantly. Ruukil opened fire on the enemy sith. Quickly sith fell under the newly sustaned fire of the Nidnight Men. Some left the trenches and pushed the sith back.The numberes of the sith began to dwindle quickly."Lets take the city sir."

Ares had been with one of the first waves into the city, the street to street fighting had taken a tole on him and the platoon he was in. About half of the platoon had either been injured or killed in the initial assualt. He was upagainst a doorway as fire flew down the alley. There where several fellow soldiers across the street in their own doorway. Ares made a series of hand signals to tell them to wait on his mark before fireing. When the fire died down so the enemy could reload, he made the signal to move. A heavy trooper walked behind a corner and shot a rocket at the enemies machine gun nest. Shorty after the explosion, Ares and the rest of the soldiers stormed up the alley towards the gun nest, guns blazing. When they reached the machine gun nest, it was a smoldering crater. Just then Ares got a radio signal from field command, the strike team had been pulled out and sith troopers had invaded the city. "Well we already knew that. " he said to himself as he listened. The rest of Midnight's forces had started their march into the city. " Ok men! Were gonna pull back and help out our buddies" After that they started backtracking.

 

[Will]

The Commandos dropped to ground, lying perfectly still. They began to raise rifles, and shot back, returning fire. A few threw grenades, plumes of dust and dirt rocketing into the air, a few limbs joining them. Some Sallies forth, jumping into the trenches, gunning down the cramped terrorists.

 

[The Balance]

OOC: Sorry for being a nudge, I'm getting a lot of requests to start the soldiers training, and I said I would do it after this mission so can we hurry this up? (the pressure of the requests id finaly getting to me :P )


The Midnight men kept up their supressing fire power. Part of the army now entering from another part of the city was making its way to attack the enmey from the rear. Kyle kept firing his rifle seeing some of the city guard members close to get torn apart by the grenades coming from the troopers. Backing up a little the sith soldiers charging them would have to face walls of blaster fire to get to them. Seeing one soldier get to close, Kyle tackled him taking the butt of his gun and continuly hitting it against the face of his adversary, with all his might he continued even after the man had been killed, the blood still seeping from his head. Kyle had to be forcebly removed from mutilating the man anymore, the anger flowing through him. Keeping up his fire, Kyle tried to calm himself down.

 

[Wing]

Dilios took his lightsaber and swung quickly at blaster shots aimed for the Midnight Man. When the blade his shots, the shots returned to their gunners hitting and killing them.

 

[Lavi]

Hattie was trapped at a piece of fallen debris. She was alone again, feeling slightly nauseous from her previous encounter. Spotting the commandos, she waited for a moment where the least amount of fire was being shot, and sprayed half a clip of carbine ammunition at them, forcing them to temporarily cease fire.

Taking the opportunity, she dashed out and leaped into an empty foxhole as the return fire commenced.

Ruukil fired on full-auto cutting down four sith soldiers in an overwhelming amount of fire. Gom fired now taking out a sith holding a frag grenade. The grenade fell and blew up bodies, rock and soil. Enemies to their right flank had met with the trenches and now began to create chaos in the lines.

 

[Imperator]

Dominick and his squad were near the point position of the force coming in behind the enemy's front lines. So far at least those around him had made no hard contact with the enemy, but that was likely to change now since he was now able to actually hear the blasterfire of the main battle. He gave a short burst communication to those in his squad with a simple signal, "Halt." He then checked the current position of his squad as well as others in the area and suspected enemy locations. He smiled behind his helmet's mask because he was only a block from where suposedly some grenadiers were.

He closed the data screen and although it was against protocols he sent a live feed message to his squad and said to them in an almost creepily calm voice, "Attack." It took only few seconds for him to reach the end of the block and see all the way to the battlefield, and between him and there was at least 3 enemy squads. Before they could even raise their weapons he had hefted his chaingun and begun firing it at them cutting down anything that was not fast enough to find some cover.

 

[Santoro]

After a few hours of fruitless searching, Santoro emerged from the hole he had created, looking down to the ground. He climbed up the ramp, and met the anxious Caden.

"We'll find her... I know it." The pirate reached out to put a hand on Santoro's shoulder, and the Jedi pushed it away, storming to the back of the ship, sitting in his cabin. It was then that the Jedi lost his control, and he wept.

Caden lifted off the ground, and put in the coordinates for hyperspace, pushing the throttle forward and leaping towards the Midnight Men base. He headed back to Santoro's cabin, and sat next to him, feeling uncomfortable.

"I failed again, Caden. After all my training, and all I've learned, I still let the Sith take her away from me." Santoro stood, and walked across the room, throwing a punch into the wall... And a sharp crack was heard- a new break in his hand. The Jedi barely flinched, and turned to do it again, and again, until it bled, and Caden came to place a hand on his arm to stop him. The Jedi turned, and sat back down on the bed, shaking. He put his head in his clean hand, and took a few shaky, deep breaths. He stood, and walked over to his dresser, picking up a bottle of Corellian Brandy. He took a long drink, and sat back down on the bed. Caden finally walked over, and sat, taking the brandy and having a drink too.

"Hey, listen. They got the jump on us, thats all. Just think- a Jedi and a pirate, and the best ship in the galaxy... What could stop us?"

The Jedi simply nodded, taking another long drink. They wouldn't stop... They couldn't.

"Change course to Corellia. They say you can find out anything in Coronet City... Let's test the theory."

((I was asleep when all this happened.))
THe Sith soldiers died, their anonymous forms hitting the dirt, life bleeding away, some instantly, most slowly and painfully. They did not cry out. That was weakness. This left the city undefended. The governor had long gone, flown by private yacht.

 

[The Balance]

Victory was their's the city, the entire planet was now liberated from the governor and his corrupt ways. But why didn't it feel like that, he was half sad half happy. The mission was a success but with the loss of a so many resistance members, a few midnight men members, and of course Adriana it felt like it was not as sweet. All the remaining resistance members could join the midnight men now if they felt like it and with the governor absent his personal fleet would be distributed between the planetary fleet and the Midnight Men's. He sent some teams into the city to check for remaining civilians and hostiles. Finding few citizens dead and no more remaining enemies, the teams came back to Kyle reporting in. It was a free world know the resistance leaders left to re-build it with the Midnight Men's help if necessary. As for Kyle he would go back to the base, start training soldiers, and try to rescue Adriana.
