Vandor-1, Mid Rim
Theme

The Bardottan Jedi Master, Bruce Guleya stood within a small shuttle craft as it flew over the skies of Vandor-1 ducking and weaving between the everlasting mountain peaks of the planet. The terrain below displaying a fresh white blanket of snow as they streaked through; Bruce's eyes fixated on a nearby window. He could feel his heart pumping and blood racing through his veins as anticipation filled him. Vandor-1 was not unfamilar to the Bardottan, this wasn't his first trip to the planet - he had been here for what seemed like years, but really it was only months. During that time he had crash landed his shuttle with his red-haired companion, known as Eivor. While here they had managed to stumble upon a village of highly gifted engineers and technicians; though at the time they were in no shape to be ignored.

During his time with his friend there, they had discovered that the village was isolated, they had been running from something and unfortunately that isolation ended up harming them more than anything as they had many injuries and illnesses from various elements and beasts. Bruce nearly died when he had experienced the massive hurt and pain that filled the village, he needed to provide assistance to them - and they were happy to accept it and eventually helped repair his shuttle. But that wasn't the purpose of their time there, no Bruce had began to build a relationship between him and them - a more positive experience for the Jedi in the galaxy because that was certainly something they needed to have these days; he really started to feel like one of them and when he had offered to help them beyond the planet, they had declined. They were happy there, despite the hardships, but that didn't stop Bruce form providing a means for their leader, a Force Sensitive Kaleesh named Nim Kazier.

Nim wasn't a Jedi but the bardottan learned that the kaleesh had no interest in training with the Force; in fact Nim had simply passed the gifts of the Force off as simply an intuition or a gut feeling that he had when doing things. Repairing thing and leading his people for the past few years. It all served the people well and Bruce was happy to accept that, for he knew not everyone wanted to be a Jedi and even if they did, there was no guarantee that a Force Sensitive could truly learn to use the Force in the ways of a Jedi. Nim had his own training and his own control of the Force; unconventional maybe but it still worked.

For a couple of weeks after they had departed the system he had been in relatively frequent contact with the village head, Nim, but soon lives just got in their way and the frequent communications turned to less frequent but they had never really stopped. Sometimes it was just once a week, a couple of weeks, or at least once a month. They had agreed to this actually and Bruce was happy to be given 'status reports' to see how his friend was doing, and it started being scheduled. There had been a little bit of strife mentioned in the last time they had talked but nothing was abnormal and Nim had assured the Jedi Master all was well; so you can imagine his surprise when Nim had called him in a panic and there was signs of physical damage done to the village head.

******

"Master Guleya! Master Guleya! Please respond!"

The comm was chirping at the bardottan, breaking the sleep he had been in. It was too darn early in the day for a call. It was about 3am local time for the Jedi, he was a little perturbed but wasn't overly upset. He tapped the console and the hologram finally materialized but continued to fade in and out as the battered kaleesh village head Nim came into view.

"By the Force Nim! What has happened?!"

"Things have fallen apart! The village is no longer safe! We've come under frequent attacks by former members of the village and the local wild life being tamed as warriors! We've managed to hold them off but the damage to our walls is becoming to great and... oh my... they're trying to destroy us!"

"What are you talking about?! You never mentioned this!"

"It was... oh no..."

The call had ended abruptly.

*******
The village had somehow grown rebels who had set out on their own, but as with most things, they couldn't sustain themselves anymore and needed access to more resources and more supplies. The rebels had made the decision to begin attacking their former home to ransack what was available. There was no escaping conflict forever, this was especially obvious.

So, with the new development, Bruce had set out to help protect and save his Force-sensitive friend in the mountains, and his people, the people he had developed a sort of bond with even though he hadn't been within their walls for exceptionally long. Bruce was a Jedi, to the core, when the galaxy needed help he would always be one of the first to offer the help - even if he knew the odds maybe stacked against him, or his help would be minimal. It didn't matter, help was help.

The first step to helping people was finding a strike force, and he had asked around the temples and the comm frequencies; in turn he had managed to get some volunteers who felt just as compelled to assist those in need as Bruce did, other's would join because they knew the benefits of the people they were setting out to help, their talents and their resources - as Bruce had known there was various resources on Vandor-1 just under the surface. The Jedi needed these things that could be offered and others had known this. It was nice to see so many volunteers, in the end he had selected just a few. It reminded him a little of Ossus and how people had rallied to help save as much as they could.

But... this whole incident couldn't have come at a worse time. He had recently suffered a great loss to his spirit, a loss that had caused him to falter in his day to day life and operations; for his friend, and his impromptu student was no longer with him, physically. The death of Eivor Vivas had caused him much grief. He had grown to enjoy her in her new found ways as a Jedi. He had spent time with her and they had experience a lot of silly things and some important things; from the silly consequences of her impatience on Dantooine - that pouting face as she fell to the ground - and the snowball fight he had stirred up, to the more serious like discovering her kyber crystal and their time with these people. It was all much, and he felt lesser now that he felt her death through the Force; she would be missed... but he had hoped she was one with the Force now, dying as a Jedi. He had hoped she would visit him sometime, just a touch is all he'd need to have those memories restored.... and being on Vandor-1, it reminded him of her. (@GABA)

Bruce sighed heavily, "Happy birthday to me." the bardottan thought.

Bruce returned to the now when the shuttle pilot spoke over the speaker "We are 10 minuets from the coordinates you gave us, Master Guleya. The other shuttles report no activity."

Bruce nodded to himself as he got himself ready. He's lighsaber was at the ready, clipped to his waist, his armor paneling ready to go, sitting to protect from blaster fire - should he encounter it. He took a moment to look over at each colleague in the shuttle; he made eye contact with each of them before moving on to the next one and then finally closing his eyes to open himself to the Force in preparation for the battle to come.

The pantoran jedi was bred as an emissary but something had changed inside her when she arrived back to Tython. She had grown more vigilante, more adventurous, and undeniably, more violent. There were conflicting thoughts inside of her, perhaps suggesting that while she enjoyed being the soft spoken young woman that she was, she was also thriving on the thrill of combat. It was no surprise then, that she was among the first few to volunteer for this mission, to accompany Master Guleya as he ventured to Vandor-1.

She came prepared with her customized duelist armor, a dark cloak wrapped around her form which accentuated the lithe figurine she possessed underneath. Her mind rippling through the force, she attempted to gather her focus and calm any anxiety that would be present. Her small figure seeped forwards from the shuttle and arrived into a crouching position approximately 3 meters to the right of the Jedi master. Force continued to harness in her left free hand while the right hand ignited a shimmering purple blade. She was ready to be a weapon of righteousness.

Vixur sat quietly in the rocking shuttle, centering himself for the conflict ahead. The Jedi Shadow hadn’t participated in a straight-up brawl like this since the War; he was mostly used to quick, descive duels or eliminations from afar nowadays. But when the Clawdite had heard of Vandor-1’s plight, of how those vile, selfish rebels had taken it upon themselves to ruin such a happy, providing society, he just couldn’t help himself. The Clawdite was well-acquainted with such gangs, and he was not altogether too fond of the principle.

The Jedi performed a final check of his gear, verifying that his lightsabers and backup blaster had not moved into the few minutes since he had slipped them unto his belt. His custom armor was likewise ready for war if it came to such things, strapped on and ready to absorb oncoming blaster fire. Despite it’s growing age, the armor shone, a testament to it’s owner’s habit of cleanliness.

Shrugging himself out of his cloak, Vixur joined the other two at the doorway of the shuttle, standing rigidly beside them. The Clawdite’s breathing was slow, regular, ready for the task ahead.

The shuttle was closing the distance fast to the small village within the mountains. A village Bruce knew as 'Frost Top Village' well that village certainly didn't appear to be the picturesque setting he had once witnessed. No the village was in disarray and there was obvious damage to the structures, from above the Jedis could see the glow of a few blaster bolts being exchanged between the makeshift fortifications and the small contingent of rebels - however it was not an all out war, it was mostly just popshots; a means of harassing the small village defense; but a push was inevitable.

The shuttle swooped down and landed in the designated area before dropping it's boarding ramp. Bruce was the first off the shuttle naturally as the village head greeted them though he was clearly beaten and bruised, the kaleesh was panting as he sought to catch his breath, "Master Jedi." the kaleesh rasped "It is good to see you again. We've been hit on a regular basis each night they had been getting much more desperate to strike. They must be running out of resources or... worse."

"My friend, why didn't you tell me of this situation long before it has gotten to this day? What even sparked such a disagreement?!"

"Actually, you were the reason behind the rebels." The kaleesh bowed his head in shame, "There were several people who had spoke out against you and your Order. Disagreed with my decision to help you and your friend. They thought we were wasting resources and time as 'the Jedi were nothing but vile beings' - but I had disagreed with them time and time again. I tried to explain that they were mistaken all this time; but I couldn't get through. Eventually they had started to turn their backs on us for whatever reason. They attempted to dismantle us from the inside... I... we had to Exile them... I'm afraid."

Bruce listened to the tale closely, as he was explained the situation the Jedi Master had taken the village head aside and was tending to his wounds - most were minor with non being life threatening. Lacerations and some minor breaks within his legs and arms. The tale that was being woven was a tale that was not unheard before, the Jedi had been mistaken for the Sith who were formally known as Exiles. Bruce could sympathize with their plight, having to Exile many friends and relatives even? It was not a task that was easy.

"You could have reached out to me sooner Nim. This could have been avoided all together if you had just called."

"Perhaps, but you are a busy man Master Guleya, it was trivial, we had it under control. It was only a week or two ago when they had started to getting bold and more aggressive. They've called upon some of the wildlife - some are big and woolly, others a simple as a hound. It's... drastic... I hate having to kill the wildlife out of cold blood."
Nim sighed heavily, "It was just last night that a group and broke in and sabotaged our walls and we were locked in melee combat... it's how I got these cuts and broken bones. We've suffered some loss - you helped the illness but here we are." Nim laughed wearily.

As the Kaleesh finished his statement, the sounds of combat erupted on the other side of the village, and the alarm bells rang; south side of the village.

Azar had seen far too much of this war already. With the fall of Ossus, Azar had lost one more home to the Sith, and that meant he was once more displaced. While Jedi were not supposed to have property or be attached to things, the Knight still tired of seeing places he was comfortable - and people he knew - destroyed. It was more of the same.

With one more home pulled away, the Jedi Knight had volunteered to travel to Vandor-1 with Master Guleya and aid the locals who were in need and in danger. He had fallen into a deep meditation during his trip and had lost all concept of space or time as they traveled. He knew that whatever lay ahead would likely end in violence of some sort, and he wanted to be prepared to defend both himself and his allies.

As the shuttle set down, he let the others disembark and made no rush to exit. There was no feeling of malice outside and he had a feeling they would not be facing combat... quite yet. He pulled his cloak away and revealed the armor underneath, ready to protect him if and when the time for violence came. He didn't draw his saber yet, but followed the Jedi Master down as he began to examine the locals, and the Knight kept watch in case someone arrived. It didn't take long before alarm bells rang out and the Jedi reached for his lightsaber, letting its white blade ignite and hang at his right side.

Clearly and obviously the youngest of the troupe, Gûry Sündr Gantz had spent his time on the ship in a kneeling position, sitting on the back of his heels as he tried to feign composure. Inwardly, the young man was greatly excited, this being his first outing as a Jedi Knight apart from his old Master. The prospect of combat was not something on his mind, but rather his thoughts were focused on his companions and his own inner turmoil of excitement and jubilation. He thought these people legends, their veterancy placing them on a pedestal in his mind as little less than demi-gods. And for him to be among their number, on the same mission with the same goal? Such a prospect threatened to make of him a wreck of nervous twitches and mannerisms.

His mood changed greatly, however, when the got down to ground and heard of the village's plight. The briefing they had received beforehand was suddenly made all to real as he finally witnessed the suffering of the people. The wrecked homes, the despairing faces, and the distant sounds of combat set off something within him. Empathy, he believed, was one of his strong points, and could be as much a curse as it was a blessing. However, for their sake, he kept his body and face composed, keeping his inner turmoil to himself as he began to entrust the chaos to the Force. Indeed, a queer sort of peace seemed to settle over Gûry while he meditated.

As the sounds of combat grew nearer, he looked to his companions and noted how they readied themselves by igniting their sabers and taking their stands. A memory came unbidden to him at that moment, of him leaving his father, the Deucalian patriarch looking on him with disappointment before turning his back on his son. These were his thoughts as he looked down on an empty belt and empty hands, open wide for him to inspect their every crease for a moment or two before he closed them into fists, and again opened them, dropping his hips and legs into a squatting stand as he continued to flex his hands, eyes turning to the Jedi Master for direction or order.

The village would fall today. It would have to be harmed to be rebuilt back to the way it should have been previously. Jyk commanded his exiled villages in battle to reclaim their home and get revenge on the outsider loving residents who exiled them. Beasts had been tamed, villagers trained into soldiers, and plans crafted to bring an end to their enemies. All in all he had developed a decent army that he believed would win the day. Part of him suspected outsiders would be here as well to aid the cowardly village, so he brought more than he normally would have needed.

25 soldiers in all had been gathered and trained by Jyk and followed his commands fully. Five large Kath Hounds had been tamed and would be helping the invaders. Due to last night's efforts, the South Wall was weak and only took the spring of their plan to penetrate it. Alarms sounded and people began to scream as the Kath Hounds were released ahead of the soldiers to rip apart anything that moved. Children, women, Jedi, and soldiers were all the same to the beasts. None would be spared if the beasts were not stopped. Meanwhile soldiers spread out into the town in groups of three or four to try to track down enemies as well. Jyk commanded a group of three others personally. He would head directly for Nim himself to cut the head off the snake, perhaps literally.

"Nim!" He screamed into the village. "I've come for you!"

Each soldier had a blaster rifle such as a 2-L Blaster Rifle, some battered medium armor with no functions, and a vibroblade. Jyk had somehow obtained a customized Bulwark Armor set and had dual thunderslug pulse pistols at his hip. In his hands he carried a simple 2-L Blaster Rifle as well. Lastly, he had a standard vibroblade for melee available. This show of force would come knocking quickly if the Jedi could not fend them off.[/gfont]

Something about this showdown felt oddly familiar to the Jedi Knight. As if he'd done something like this not so long ago. Oh, that was because he had. He moved quickly to a position where he could see the enemies that were approaching and it became immediately apparent that the Jedi were going to be outnumbered. Could any of the villagers fight? Or would they even need to? The Jedi may not have had numbers on their side, but what they did have was the Force and likely superior training.

His hand reached for his saber as he watched the enemies begin to fan out. Two dozen thugs, half dozen hounds, he said to the other Jedi as he slid down from his perch. They were rough numbers but close enough. The priority would no doubt be the hounds and Azar's saber lit at his side as he watched the animals charge, readying the Force and preparing for the fight ahead.

Vixur frowned as he heard the reasons behind the rebellion and the news of the rebel’s repeated attacks. The Knight hadn’t seen such viciousness in those, not of the Sith since, well, Nar Shadda. It was disturbing to face their like once again, and especially with so many innocents about.

The Clawdite didn’t have a whole lot of time to ponder this issue, however, as mere minutes after the shuttle touched down on the snow-covered turf, the sounds of war once again resounded in Vixur’s ears. He drew his sabers, cocking his head at Knight Torsin as he reported on the enemy’s capabilities. “More than expected. Probably should do something about those beasts.” Vixur commentated, nodding once at the Jedi Master before taking off towards the center of the village, the Force granting him extra swiftness. Vixur could only hope he would run across one of the dogs before they harmed anyone.

The Jedi Master looked to the Knight as he provided a situation report, efforts of his quick moments of scouting. "Thank you Knight Azar." Bruce remarked before turning his attention back to the kaleesh village leader, "Nim, gather your people and take them to the Village Centre, allow your trained soldiers to protect you and everyone else. I know you're a fighter and I know there are very capable individuals within your group. Go now, we'll take care of these."

There were some pros and cons with that direction, pros were that everyone would be able to keep track of each other and provided a bolstered defense and give them a strong fighting chance. Cons were that it does bring them all into one group which makes a slaughter easy to be carried out. However, it did seem like the best course of action at a time like this. The Kaleesh Nim nodded in approval before gathering up his people, however a few of the trained stepped forward to volunteer themselves to defend their homes alongside the Jedi. "While your dedication is admirable, I strongly suggest you remain with everyone else. But I cannot stop you if you wish to join alongside us, after all it is your home."

Bruce turned away and looked at his companions, the clawdite had already taken off to battle, Bruce couldn't argue with him either. "We all fight. The villagers can handle themselves. Knights Azar (@Phoenix ) and Thrash (@Faded Truth) work together, and see if you can get in behind the advance. The hounds are priority but with their desire to blood they will not expect a back strike. Knight Gury (@Ero), come with me and join Knight Vixur (@Laskt) we will be taking the blunt of the force allowing them to get into place and strike. When we find their leader, that will be my priority.

May the Force be with all of you."

Just need posts from @Ero & @Faded Truth please post soon; @Cazar will post afterwards.

Gûry did not enjoy killing mindless beasts. To him, it felt unclean, as though he were taking advantage of the creature. /however, these things, he realized, would tear through the entirety of the peoples around him, and he could not allow that. When Master Guleya gave out the assignments he nodded quietly, stepping in to be closer to the Jedi in an effort to keep their front unified. Such strength in the face of an onslaught as Master Guleya showed even in that moment was something that impressed the young man greatly. And not just the Master, but all these volunteers surrounding him as well. Each was prepared to give up their life, despite having fear within. However, he wanted the calm of Guleya, he thought, rather than the shaken courage of the volunteers.

One would stand strong because naught could touch it. The other, may just break under the pressure of the coming battle.

The Kath hounds busted ahead of everything else in the enemy lines, coming for blood. A few children were not fast enough to escape as a Kath Hound ripped a small group of them up, shaking their bodies in its mouth before eyeing an angry local villager with a sword approaching. The villager did not last long either, dropping his blade before his neck was ripped open. These hounds were trained to want blood and sport, not food.

Vixur (@Laskt) got his wish. He ran from the Jedi group and came across the Kath Hound who just finished killing the children and older villager. Its attention quickly turned to the Jedi with weapons drawn. It growled loudly in warning before digging it's claws into the ground to power its launch forwards. The beast would come at the Clawdite Jedi fast, teeth ready to rip at his left arm if the Jedi did not react in time. Another hound was not far behind, seeing the opportunity to pack hunt a stronger target. It too rushed ahead to join the fray but would not arrive until the next round of fighting. Behind the hound, a half dozen enemy soldiers were also working their way closer.

The other three hounds did not find Jedi yet, but were ripping through villagers as best they could around town. All of them were alone but slowly working towards the center where they would find Nim and his troops. Likely a couple rounds and they'd arrive to fight Nim's troops who would likely be able to win, but not if soldiers arrived too.

Jyk and his squad rushed through town as their hounds commanded attention from the locals. The Jedi and the village leadership would see him quickly approaching if they had anyone paying attention. They'd be about 100 meters from Azar and Thrash, but would not be targeting them yet. Their focus was still on finding Nim. Other troops were spread throughout the town and could appear if the Jedi were not careful.

Death of such a scale was not something Gûry had been exposed to before. Even now, he was grinding his teeth together to maintain his calm and poise, and stay within the orders of the Master. The pain in the cries of the people inspired a great fear within him, and even...an excitement? No. No, it couldn't have, he'd trained endlessly to suppress such emotions. He was Jedi first, Deucalian second...wasn't he?

The pantoran Jedi was also not used to seeing such gore and death on the battlefield, and so as the hounds feasted on the locals, she couldn't help but hesitate in her movements. The emissary was born to be a politician, combat tactics took a secondary stance and thus she glanced towards Azar for a moment as the Jedi Master released his orders. Eyes momentarily closed as she took a deep breath inwards to cleanse all thoughts of insecurity from her mind, opening them with revived focus and clarity. The lithe figure slid to a position besides Azar, force wrapping around herself as a solid blue saber ignited from the right grasp held hilt. She advanced towards the hounds, slowly creeping under cover to avoid being seen as she attempted to flank them from behind.

The Bardottan Jedi Master wasn't wasting anymore time, he had already wasted enough time. With the villagers taken away and the soldiers preparing to defend against the incoming attack, Bruce focused on the moments ahead. He took up full speed with the Force enhancing each and every step as he closed the distance between him and the attack as well as the Jedi who'd brazenly took off looking for the first signs of battle. As he closed the distance he could see the Kath Hounds launching toward Vixur (@Laskt), Bruce didn't concern himself with the one in the lead - instead he looked to the one following close behind.

As the Jedi Master closed the distance he summoned his hilt to his right hand and at the same time ignited it while leaping into a battle leap that'd take him close to that second Kath Hound. As he cleared the skies and began his decent he attempted to jab downward into the Kath hound's back with his lightsaber, his goal was to deal damage and land right behind the Kath Hound, to draw the one's attention to the Jedi Master.

As Bruce landed he locked his eyes onto the kath hound he attempted to strike, he had positioned himself in a bladed stance, legs shoulder width apart and the golden coloured plasma blade covering his entire body, readying himself for the next attack - defend against a lunge.

He said nothing.

Azar gave a quick nod as the Jedi Master handed down his orders. This was a place that Azar had been before. He'd seen bloodshed and death on a massive scale at Ilum and other major battles before. This was nothing new, but the slaughter of civilians was appalling. When the order came down to get behind the vanguard, Azar didn't hesitate.

He waited for the blue-skinned woman to take her place next to him and gripped his own saber more tightly, letting its white blade glow brightly. We'll need to be swift. Surprise is our only advantage, he said, knowing that they would be outnumbered. They would need to do a hit and run move against their target, and a part of him wished they had firearms or something longer range than what they had.

He moved swiftly, making sure Thrash was in tow as he skirted quickly to the edge of the village, positioning them to move in behind. He knew that they had no time to waste, so he tried to hurry, moving so that he could see one of the thugs furthest on the flank. He gripped the man with the Force and yanked his foot outward while holding his knee in place. If all went well, his knee would shatter and he would be out of the fight and a few of the thugs might look to he and Thrash instead of the civilians.

Vixur’s expression went flat as he saw the chewed remains of the innocent villagers, bloody meat lying where individuals once stood. Unforgivable, even for such base humans that seemed to be making up the rebellion, to unleash such animals of war upon mere children. The Clawdite’s hand flicked to his waist, retrieving a lightsaber in his left hand, clenching the weapon tightly in his palm. But his pace did not slow, he continued charging headlong at the beast, drinking deeply of the Force, centering himself in the burn of his muscles, the feel of the churned turf beneath his feet. Ten meters, five….

When the Clawdite could clearly see the flecks of foam on the creature’s maw, the Jedi made his move. Thumbing the activating switch of his weapon, and digging in his heels for purchase, Vixur swung the sapphire blade in a flat horizontal two-handed slash, aiming to cut straight through the beast’s jaw, likely cutting the beast in two if it did not perform some astonishing feat of acrobatics.

As the kath-hound’s remains likely collapsed into the snow, Vixur gave the village center a quick glance, taking stock of the situation. Master Guleya had apparently quickly caught up with him, slicing through the second hound with consummate ease. The Knight would join his master, retrieving his blaster and firing a round into the creature’s head to make sure the Jedi Master’s kill was dead. Stowing the weapon, Vixur drew the second of his sabers, igniting this one as well. The Knight stood, similarly silent, waiting to see if the oncoming soldiers would make the first move.

While Kath Hounds could be horrifying on the battlefield, they did not have the tactical skill of a soldier or Jedi. These beasts had been released to cause chaos and spread fear. Killing villagers and children was easy but killing a soldier or a Jedi would be something difficult for a single hound to accomplish. So far, a few went unopposed and were ripping apart whatever villagers could not flee quickly enough.

Vixur (@Laskt) was brave in slicing at the incoming hound, but momentum did not stop just because a creature was injured or killed. The lunging hound would die but its body would collide with the Clawdite Jedi as its last act of defiance. This would stop the Jedi Knight from helping the Jedi Master kill the other hound and make him a little slower getting up. It would leave him unharmed though beyond maybe a bit of pride.

Master Guleya (@Zigara) did not really need the help. A Jedi Master of his skill and power was not too threatened by a single hound. His cut had caused the hound to stop with a scream. It was injured badly, but it wanted revenge. What little strength remained came in a pathetic charge that would be more than easy for the Jedi Master to cull. The real threat would come from the approaching troops. They took note of the Jedi and instantly took covering positions with their rifles taking aim.

"Jedi! Blast them!" Shouted one of the unnamed raiders as he fired two shots from his rifle towards Vixur right as the Knight would be recovering and activating his second lightsaber.

The other five soldiers hesitated slightly, but began firing on Master Guleya and Vixur as well. Two aimed for Vixur with a single shot and two more aimed at Master Guleya with a single shot each. A sixth soldier held his fire because he suddenly found himself under assault. His leg snapped under him and he howled in pain as he fell to the floor. A new target had flanked them. A broken leg would not stop his rifle or his voice though.

"More Jedi! Behind!" He shouted through the pain as he fired towards Azar (@Phoenix) once with his rifle.

Jyk and his crew were getting closer now as well. The bloodthirsty leader cut down a few villages with his rifle before moving closer to Nim. This elite crew so far seemed unopposed as they made their way inwards. Kath Hounds could be heard doing their work as well as some more troops. While the Jedi were making quick work of their targets by staying together, the village was suffering without them. They needed to act quick if they wanted to avoid more casualties and save Nim himself from the incoming slaughter.

Bruce swung his lightsaber widely as he swung at each blaster bolt hurdling toward him. As he batted the blaster bolts aside he didn't have an intended target instead he just wanted them out of his way - but of course he wasn't an experienced Jedi either so there was some control to prevent friendly fire.

Once the final blaster bolts were blocked, the bardottan lifted his left hand forward before motioning it backward as if he had caught a ball and it was pushing against his hand. He was moving it at a moderate pace and was channeling the Force into his hand. As Bruce moved his hand backward he had turned his body slightly, allowing his shoulder to take lead; but once the hand made it past his body he immediately thrust it forward aiming toward the approaching soldiers. This motion was to unleash a devastating Force Push that would slam the soldiers with aggressive kinetic energies; it was for the soldiers and he didn't know how many would get caught in the blast. This could slam the soldiers causing their death or it could have simply stunned them with the forceful blow back from the impact.

During this channeling process, Bruce continued to have his lightsaber up shielding his body the best he could in case anyone sought to take an opportunity, but a single blaster bolt wouldn't break his concentration.

With the aggressive Force Push unleashed Bruce lowered his lightsaber to his side as he advanced toward the oncoming enemies. He didn't know if anyone had broken through the lines or not, but he knew the head of the snake was somewhere outside of the village. Bruce would be putting a lot of faith and trust into his fellow Jedis ( @Faded Truth @Ero @Phoenix @Laskt ) to dispatch those he missed and those who had strayed the course. At the time, Bruce had no idea if anyone had breached the line - be it soldiers or kath hounds; but he wanted to minimize the loss of life going forward.

Azar could hear the sickening crack of bone breaking even from where he was and the man was swiveling his rifle shortly thereafter and shouting. On the bright side, he'd managed to pull the attention away from the civilians, on the downside he'd pulled the attention to himself.

The Jedi saw the rifle turning toward him and leapt back just as a blaster shot rang out loudly. His saber was lit in front of him as he did that and the shot flew past. If he wasn't stopped, he would grip the leg with the Force once more and yank... hard. With the leg already broken, the pain of having his leg ripped off would be enough to make him pass out most likely. He didn't like doing that, but he figured it beat killing the man at least. The leg would then fly out and strike the head of one of the soldiers who was still attacking another target.

His saber was still in front of him, ready to address whatever came his way. He was ready to duck behind cover at a moment's notice as well, not having traveled too far from it for his attack. Here was hoping that he drew more attention from his enemies.
