The old saying "time heals all wounds" resonated deep within Merrik whilst making her medical rounds at her private practice. Five years, eight months and six days- the exact day Dr. Jeyne Merrik birthed her twins. Noticeably absent was the father of her twins. For Merrik time doesn't heal all wounds. No, it merely intensifies the wrong that was caused, and her deep seated need to right a wrong!

A soft chime eminating from her pocket interrupted her internalized anger. "Court date set. Looks like full custody will be an easy win." The message from Merrik's high powerful solicitor was exactly what Jeyne needed.

Aldrus must pay or give it up! Merrik thought silently to herself whilst enterting ger first patient's room. A quick professional smile grace the Doctor's face as she entered the room. All matters of her court dealings with Verum quickly fell behind the proverbial background of her mind.

The door opened, and the doctor walked in. Ra'taak's blue eyes darted from a sandy haired youth sitting on the observation bed to the physician. He had found her on the street. Cold, starving and sick. She had a cough. It was this that had caught his immediate attention. Something in him told him to seek help for her, and so he did.

His voice low and steady. "Hello Doctor."
