Training and Promotion Guidelines

The following are the guidelines for Acolyte-to-Crusader training, as well as training from Crusader-to-Dark Master. These are rules that will be enforced and followed when it comes to ranking up.

Acolyte-to-Crusader Guidelines

I've noticed a lot of people taking on acolytes to train. That's awesome. I'm really glad there's such a vested interest in the faction and I hope people are enjoying their characters. However, in the past, training threads have gotten too short, which has made me go back and say that more needs to be done. That's why these training rules were established.

This will be enforced. If I see a character that it's not enforced with, I'll lock the training thread and you will start over from scratch, as you can't complete your training and then go back and add more without being Crusader rank and looking to specialize, and that would not be the case.

Rules

  1. All training threads will go over the code of the Bogan in-depth, as perceived by the master.
  2. The thread will also work in-depth on the lightsaber forms and various Force powers.
  3. Within the training, you will go on at least one covert mission, which the master will NPC with you. This is designed to test the apprentice.
  4. The training thread - not counting the mission, which will be in the Story board - must be at least 80 posts long.
Again, anything less and I'll lock it and you'll start over. This isn't to be a pain in the ass, it's to make sure that people aren't rushed through training, giving them no character development.

Training threads are meant to be able to give you a sense of who your character is, and to allow us to see if you're really interested in the RP or of you just want a Dark Jedi to be a Dark Jedi with various Force powers instead of wanting a quality character. Training also builds RP connections and friendships, giving you a network of friends to RP with.

Crusader-to-Master Guidelines

Sometimes, players who become Crusaders immediately rush into training for a specialization so they can achieve the rank of Dark Master. These specializations are of the instructor, marauder, and assassin roles. However, having a specialization does not automatically make you a master.

In order to become a Dark Master, players will need to do more than train. The faction leadership will take note of the missions and main threads you participate in, the acolytes you train, and your general participation in the role-play as a member of the Dark Jedi. Combined with your specialization, being a quality and active member of the faction will ultimately allow you to be promoted to Dark Master.
