"I think," Va'lus starts as he enters, finally, full off the standard synthpaste soup goop they forcefeed the Imperial Navy, "you need a bigger gun." Naturally, his joke wasn't accompanied by a grin, but unarmored here in the training room was indicative of his laid-back demeanor. In his off-duty slacks and dark jumpsuit, he folds his arms and observes a newer recruit he had yet met, but had just finished a round in the Sim with his partner. The expression on 3090's face screamed 'i'm not impressed'.
"Who's the Nexu Kitten?" he inquires in his gruff, off-kilter voice. It was obvious wordplay wasn't his specialty, deep baritone voice filling the echo. The 'kitten' in question is whom he was staring down upon, not at all territorial when it came to his partner, though be it he was just busting the noobie's balls or legitimately upset is a sentiment that only progression through the conversation would elaborate upon. He ignores the sound of shots ringing down the range, though it didn't take too much of an observant eye for one to get a glimpse at the large weapon case he happened to be carrying. It was a rented heavy repeater - his favorited H.C.R.- but he only brought it to the range to practice is daily assembling and disassembling session - a good soldier always knows the bloodwork of his weapons.
He remains standing, staring, waiting for an introduction.
