Still projecting his illusion of a rock around his head, Kai smirked and nodded at Ked. "Yes, Zavii here was using a very advanced application of her ability to sense things in my mind. In a way she was reading my mind, more or less. It was quite an impressive thing for her to accomplish, actually. So good job managing that Zavii." Kai winked at the girl next to him who had just gone onto all fours. The fact of the matter was that he had of course helped her by guiding her mind probe. But something had happened when she had sensed him, it was like her presence touched his somehow and now they were linked. The sensation was familiar to him. It wasn't the first time he had felt this particular feeling. Which made him wonder...

His thoughts were broken by Zavii bringing out the hilt of her lightsaber. Watching as she activated the blue blade, Kai grinned. "Interesting. I'm not sure I've heard it put that way before, but sure!" Telekinetically pulling his hilt off of his belt and into his hand Kai activated it and slashed his illusive stone in half as he flourished his blade finishing the flourish by touching it to Zavii's cobalt blade. They flashed yellow for a moment as the scratching noise indicated their contact. Nearby, the stone fell to the ground smoldering. "Well? What do you think?"

As the other Human ignited his blade, Zavii traced as he flourished his blade and met with her own. "Wow, i really did it, huh? It's different, but it does look pretty cool..." The female Padawan shifted her blade a few degrees back from Kai's violet one and thumbed the switch on her hilt. With a squeeking hiss the deep blue haloed blade retracted into the heart of Zavii's lightsaber, which she deposited to the grass in front of herself before taking on her usual meditative pose.

"Yeah, i think it fits you, Kai. Now, what do you say we try and float some rocks?" The girl asked all present, even though she was still sort of worn out from her telepathic endeavor.

Ked continued to watch the lightsaber display, encaptured by the sounds the two blades made when they met each other. In fact, he hardly paid attention to the explanation Kai had given Ked concerning telepathy. What could Ked say? Those shining sticks were pretty sweet.

He nodded frantically when the other padawans mentioned lifting stones again. Ked had been so close last time, he was sure he would be successful this time around.

Once again, Ked closed his eyes. He started from within, becoming one with the Force as it pulsated through his own body. Then he felt it flow through the grass and the water and the rocks. Ked concentrated on one rock in particular, the one still sitting right in front of his nearly motionless body.

Ked felt the will of the Force was it brushed up against the rock. The stone wanted to fly, as if it were a star in heaven. Ked urged the Force to envelope the stone and lift it upwards. He felt the tension as the Force gathered under the rock. He felt it slowly begin to rise, moving micrometers at a time, but still moving. Ked felt his own triumph grow within him.

His nose did not itch.

His nose did not itch.

His nose did-

Achoo!

A loud and violent sneeze escaped Ked's nostrils, causing his entire body to plunge forward. It was so loud the Theedians on the other side of the wall heard it. The stone in front of Ked shuddered, and remained still on the ground. "Slugger", a frustrated Ked cursed under his breath.

"Thank you!" Kai stated with a half-smile on his face. "And good job, Zavii, not too many Padawans are able to manage that on their first try. I was no where close to that when I first started. You might have some prodigal talent with telepathy we'll need to keep an eye out for."

Kai winked at the mocha-colored teen before deactivating his own blade and nodding at what Zavii said about levitating the rocks. Sitting down, Kai picked up his own illusive rock halves and began to float them around his head. "Now, moving the rock with the Force starts the same way as using the Force to feel things. First, you need to reach out with the Force and feel what you want to move, the visualize it in your mind's eye. Work together with the Force and manipulate its energy to make the rock go where you want. Go ahead, it'll be a little difficult, but with the appropriate focus you guy's should get it. And if you find you're becoming frustrated, just take a breath, clear your mind, and meditate. When you feel ready try it again."

With that Kai became quiet as he focused on his illusion and reached out in the Force to feel the other Padawans. After a little he could feel that something was bothering Ked. It didn't take the boy long to figure out that it was his nose as he heard a loud, cat-like sneeze erupt from the Kushari. Opening his eyes, Kai raised an eyebrow. "You okay? Why don't you try levitating the rock again, I think you almost had it that time."

"Well now you make it sound like i'm a novice," Zavii teased Kai with a smile. The boy had no way of knowing about her lifetime of training, but she had mentioned her inexperience with Telepathy and Telekinesis while he seemed fairly comfortable with both applications of the Force. For a moment, the girl wondered if most Padawans learnt such skills earlier, or if Kai was perhaps the odd one. Either way, she was glad that he had decided to share his knowledge today.

With keen attention Zavii listened to the other Human's explanation of the technique. Centering herself, the girl once again found the Force and started to feel the currents flowing around her, Kai, Ked, the grass. After a couple of minutes the stone before her became apparent. Focusing on the torpid flow of energy within, Zavii familiarized herself with the little stone and it's relationship with the universe, forming a steadily more vivid image in her mind. Once the stone was firmly set in her imagination, it was the girl's turn to have her focus shattered by a cacophonous sneeze.

"Bless You," said Zavii with a bemused smirk before she set back to the task of sensing the minutiae of her rock's being...

Ked nodded at Kai's wise words, and followed the more experienced padawan's instructions. Closing his eyes, Ked breathed in deeply, absorbing the crisp fresh air. Soon, he felt a certain calmness wash over him. The quiet of the park wrapped around him like a warm embrace.

For the the third time today, Ked felt the Force pump through his veins. He sensed the Force flowing through the rocks and trees and dirt. He focused in on one rock in particular.

How easy it would be for Ked to reach out and grab the rock. He could easily hold it in one meaty paw, but lifting the rock via the Force was nearly impossible. Just like the muscles in Ked's arms, his connection to the Force could be strengthened through repeated effort.

Ked and the Force worked as one. He felt energy gather under the rock. Ked concentrated through the Force, guiding the rock upwards. He sensed the warm stone slowly floating upwards, and a triumphant mrow escaped his throat. Ked opened his eyes to see the rock floating a couple of inches above the ground. His pupils pinched in concentration as he worked with the Force to lift the rock higher. Soon the stone was hovering in the air right in front of his pink nose. Grinning, Ked extended a claw and poked the rock, causing it to rotate slowly in the air.
