Training of Leo Sunfell

[Lavi]

"What is it that you do not understand?" Amaterasu asked. It was uncommon for students to become padawans without understanding of the Code. She was partially surprised by Leo's words, though they were not unexpected, from the way he spoke yesterday.

 

[Jet]

"Well i get the parts that they show us the oppasite of 2 things, but i dont get it how it effects me so much" He answered fairly fast.

 

[Lavi]

"Emotion, yet peace represents the fact that emotions cannot be completely shunned from one's consciousness. Instead, one should not let emotion dictate his or her own judgment. When one feels strong emotion, he should fight against the urge to act as his emotions desire."

"Ignorance, yet knowledge is easier to understand. Ignorance embodies the universe, but those with knowledge can understand them. One should maintain an open mind and respect traditions, among other things, to lessen one's ignorance."

"Passion, yet serenity tells us not to let our emotions take over our own actions, like that of the first line. However, it tells us that passion must be confronted by the need for serenity. We, despite not being part of the Jedi Order, are protectors of peace and justice, not exponents of chaos and lawlessness."

"Chaos, yet harmony might be more difficult to understand. The Force surrounds everything around us, including ourselves. Everything that happens are linked to one another, and is part of life."

"Death, yet the Force. Everything ends in death, one way or another. There will be a time when I will die, be it combat, natural causes, or something else. However, death is only another part of life. When one dies, he will become One with the Force. You will always be connected by the Force, especially since you are Force-sensitive. If I die, do not mourn. Instead, know that I will always be close by, and act in accordance to the other lines of the Code."

The words fluently flowed out of Amaterasu's mouth, as though she has done so many times before. It was not far from the mark, since she was the former teacher of several students of the Order.

 

[Jet]

Leo was sitting there now with an open mouth and open eyes. After he said everything he was like thinking how he could rember all that. He rembered that he read something like that in a book but he could not get it all done in his head in one day he would atleast take a year or so. Never the less He closed his mouth and his eyes where looking at him again and he said: "Wow amazing its pretty much like poetry"

He then only hoped that he would not have to learn this everything by tomorow since even know he knows quiet alot knowlege he cant rember stuff so fast so easly.

 

[Lavi]

"What I say is not an explanation from a datapad that you can pick up at the library. The Code can only be interpreted by the one who adheres to it. You will be doing the same, so it is of utmost importance that you understand the philosophy of the Force before proceeding to something more material to study," Amaterasu replied, by far not flattered by the response given by Leo. As the old cliche goes, he still has much to learn.

"Memorize the Jedi Code, and interpret them the way you feel the Code should be interpreted. I am here to merely guide you to the correct course of action," she continued. "Will you be able to accomplish that much, at least?"

 

[Jet]

He saw she was not so shure about him but replied slithly softer: " Ok i will try memorizing it" Leo sat there looking around the room little unpatiend though.

 

[Lavi]

"Try? Trying is not enough. It is either you memorize the Code, or you do not. You cannot be somewhere in the middle, because that is simply not possible," answered Amaterasu. "It is the equivalent of turning a lightsaber on and off at the same time."

"Do you understand? Memorize it. Do not try; do it."

 

[Jet]

Leo looked at him a nooded. He knew would get hard to memorize such think he cant really put his own words, but he knew he defently wants to become someone strong that can protect himself and others.

He looked at her and hope for something easy he can do allready maybe so she can see some good things about Leo

 

[Lavi]

Leo said nothing in response, except giving a nod of the head. It would take a lot to transform him into a knight of the Ospion, she felt, but his determination to continue training was commendable. Many probably would have felt disheartened by a lack of progress by now, but Amaterasu saw none of that in her apprentice.

It reminded her of one of her former padawans: Darius Khan, a student who had difficulty channeling the Force except through his knowledge of the martial arts. Leo shouldn't be any different in that regard: he should have some way of bypassing what would be considered rudimentary knowledge or skill.

She might as well move on to something else and observe. Amaterasu raised a hand to a nearby table, lifting a spoon from its surface and resting it between herself and Leo.

"I want you to focus on the spoon, and lift it into the air using the Force. Connect yourself and center yourself in the flow of the Force: it is there to help, if you let it," she said.

 

[Jet]

Leo noticed that this would most likely something where he was better at. He closed his eyes for a minute and focused his energy that way. After a minute he opened his eyes and looked at the spoon. He tried to lift the spoon but messed up the first time but quickly tried again and managed to hold the spoon up in the air for 20 seconds about till his focus was not good enough anymore.

 

[Lavi]

"Can you apply what you understand of the Jedi Code to what you have just done?" asked Amaterasu. She felt that the reason why Leo's inadequate understanding of the Code was linked to him thinking too deeply into the code and coming out with no concrete information.

 

[Jet]

Leo knew that it was again about the Jedi Code he really needs to learn, he tried to seem confidented and said in normal voice:" Yes, i can a some ways..."

He stopped concentrating for a while a looked at her.

 

[Lavi]

The boy is reluctant, it seems. "Tell me," the knight prodded, seeking to have her apprentice speak.
