(OOC: Sith training on the code and Sith philosophy, PM if you want in))

Azool sat cross legged in the center of a cold stone room within the Academy on Korriban. His eyes were closed as he waited for the acolytes to arrive. His jet black hair was arranged as always in the traditional Falleen topknot. He was calm and motionless and with the black robes he was wearing he almost blended into the shadows completely.

The torches on the walls cast strange flickers across the room as the individual fires each danced randomly. Today he would see what fresh meat the academy had drug in and he would see what they knew. Then he would correct them. He would not be testing or training their physical strength nor even their strength in the force, no. Before one could be strong, before one could bend the force to their will one needed to have understanding...one needed knowledge.

He would instruct them in the ways of the Sith Code and explain other Sith philosophies. One had to know how to think like a Sith before one could act like a Sith. Else any small amounts of power reached would risk being wasted. With a war likely ahead of them they could not afford to be wasteful...

'What a moral conflict already' he thought, a smile slowly coming to his green lips and curling into a scowl. Every potential student and acolyte would be needed for the conflict ahead...for there would be conflict, conflict was necessary to grow.

But at the same time the weak could not be allowed to live...they needed to be weeded out, but by doing so the Sith might threaten their war effort. What a conundrum indeed. His eyes slowly opened, Azool would ask his students today during their training what they thought of this problem. He would see if they knew the right answer.

Just a little ways out of the room, a Nightsister was seen approaching. And, it wasn't that hard to miss, I mean, she had been riding on a gigantic female rancor and had a mynock nearby. How the woman befriended them without the use of the Force was unknown, but as many know... Nightsisters have their ways.

Chuckling as she dismounted, she nodded at her two pets, and they went to wait for her resurgence from the depths of training. Tessra creaked open the door, walking forward ever so slightly, eyes glancing around to make sure nothing leaped out at her. When she was sure she was safe, the young Nightsister proceed, her skirt billowing behind her.

As she approached the male in front of her, who was undoubtedly her tutor, Tessra took a long stare. His kind was known for their attraction, as well as their pheromones. Tessra would have to be careful of any tricks. The game that Sith played was an intensely dangerous one. Mind over matter...

Saluting her Sith tutor, she didn't break eye contact. "Tessra Darkstrike of the Nightsisters, reporting for duty,"

There was a long silence after she introduced herself. Anger and rage channeled through his veins, this acolyte had already upset him and it was visible. How refreshing the anger felt, but he had expected the Acolyte to at least make it a little bit longer before giving him a reason to show them passion, fresh meat indeed.

Xezgul Azool rose slowly, his robes falling around him as he came to his full height, towering over the child before him. "You have already done three things wrong," another pause as his lips twisted into a scowl once more, "If you can figure out at least two of them and correct yourself immediately I will not punish you."

Tessra narrowed her eyes. "Mister Azool, I presume," she said, in a tone that was holding back her irritation. "If it's all the same, I prefer not to speak all that much," Continuing on in her monologue, she says, "You did not ask for my name. Thus, I shouldn't of told you,"

Having no previous training, other than a minimal understanding of the Sith Code because it was the opposite of the Jedi Code, she continued pondering. "Honestly, I don't know what I did wrong. You're asking an ex-Padawan to tell you something she's never studied," Putting a hand on her hip, Tessra's eyes flared up like fire. Her irritation became evident.

((Were waiting for one more, but lets just keep RPing until they arrive and they can just hop in))

As she began speaking he brought up his hands ready to discharge Sith lighting into her feeble body for her incompetence...but wait, what was this? The Acolyte surprised him and guessed two of her three errors. Disappointing...but for the better in the long run perhaps.

He nodded, his face expressionless. "You will avoid pain for now." Azool let his hands drop to his sides, "You always will address your superiors in the Sith Order with the prefix my lord or my lady. Failure to do so will put you at the mercy of said superior. You will not find a lot of mercy in our order...."

He began to pace slowly in front of her, never taking his eyes off of her, "No I did not ask for your name, more importantly I did not speak to you and therefore you should not have spoken at all. You will speak only when you are addressed, act up out of turn once more and you will pay for it."

He stopped pacing and moved behind her stopping and standing directly behind the girl. Azool laid his hands on each of her shoulders, his long green fingers with claws curling around her shoulders and into her sight. "Your final mistake was perhaps the gravest of all. You introduced yourself as Tessra Darkstriker of the Nightsisters." If she made no move to stop him, which would be the smart thing to do, he would suddenly dig his claws into her, puncturing skin and drawing blood. The pain would not be terrible. No it could hardly be called pain compared to what he had been about to unleash on her, but it was pain nonetheless and it was important for her to feel. It was pain enough to make her bleed.

He let go of her and stepped back, remaining behind her he bellowed in anger, "You are Tessra Darkstriker of the Sith from this day forth and forever!"

After he yelled Azool went quiet, silence filled the room again and he walked back around her to be standing in front of her once again. He watched the small amount of blood pool on her shoulders from where he had cut her, if she made any move to tend the wound or try to slow down the bleeding he would enact his wrath.

"Your loyalties lay with the Sith, you can have no conflict there. If I hear of these nightsisters again I will kill you."

"You have now made a fourth mistake, you have tried to make an excuse for yourself, blaming the fact that your an ex-Padawan. I will tolerate no excuses here. There is no excuse for weakness. Make any further excuses to me and you will feel further pain."

He clasped his hands together behind his back, done with that small lecture. He asked her a question, his voice cold and calculating once more, "Do you understand these first four lessons? I will permit you to ask questions now about what I have spoke on if you have them Acolyte."

All Tessra offered was a nod at his first statement. She wasn't about to speak again. While he himself didn't scare him, his control over the Force did. She knew all to well what his outstretched hand had meant for her. Luckily, he had restrained.

As he continued talking, Tessra didn't move. Even when he dug his fingers into her, she didn't move. Scarlet blood seeped out of her arm, dripping onto the floor and blending in with her skirt.

As they continued on, she learned that her "excuse" wasn't an excuse, as there are no excuses. As he finished up, Tessra spoke normally, as if there wasn't a small pound afflicted upon her arm.

"No questions... My lord,"

He smiled a slight sneer at 'my lord' "Very good," nodding, "Very good indeed."

He looked past her for a moment and gazed at one of the torches on the wall behind her, watching the flames flicker. Still staring at the fire he commanded her, "Tell me the Sith Code and your interruption of it."

Through the corridors, a Sith acolyte walked to his destination with a purpose. Achukka Iti was a more gruff and grizzled person than the former Padawan. His dark personality blended well with the Sith at the temple. His demeanor was far from peaceful as he was relatively annoyed that his former master had to leave him. Iti saw no reason for his master to leave him and his master gave no reason. It could have been a test or perhaps Lord Salzer was away on business. Either way, Achukka had a new temporary master until Lord Salzer came back. Lord Azool was the name of his new master. The training had to do with Sith philosophy much to Achukka's annoyance.

When he arrived, Achukka saw that Azool was already speaking to a female acolyte. He did not wish to interrupt them as he could simply wait his turn. Unlike the female, Achukka spent most of his life with the Sith, and new of their social ways. He stood within eyesight and waited for the Sith to finish conversing with the female acolyte. From the looks of it, Azool had just finished putting the fear of the Force into the girl. Achukka stood silently to the side as he watched further from a few yards away...

A hand still on her hip, not all that fazed by the wound on her arm, the young acolyte began speaking, or more like reciting the Sith code. You had to give her credit. She at least knew what is was.

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me."

"The thorough interpretation of it is questionable. As the opposite of the Jedi Code, and only true way to properly use the Force, the Sith Code tells us that everything begins with passion. We need to harness are emotions... Anger, hatred, carnal lust... All of them are needed to grow in power. And the more power you possess, the more victories achieve, thus, ultimately, setting you free,"

As she finished, her attention wavered slightly, causing her to glance over towards the acolyte nearby. Even though it only lasted a second or two, it allowed her to study his gender, race, and facial features. The Nightsister of Sith let out a little snap, alerting her animals waiting nearby that a newcomer appeared.

Xezgul Azool felt the presence of the second acolyte approach but made no outward acknowledgment of his presence yet. He was happy enough that Achukka hadn't interrupt him so he ignored the late comer for now. Azool's gaze was still on the tourch behind Tessra but when she recited the code his eyes sharply darted back to her.

"Your interpretation while not incorrect in any way only begins to scratch the surface of the subject." Her interpretation didn't please him but more importantly it didn't displease him and that in itself was something. Her understanding of the code was minimal but to be honest he didn't expect fresh meat to have a good grasp of it, so it was tolerable for now.

He cleared his throat and spoke louder, clearly directing his words at Achukka now. "Worm, come forward." Azool's eyes matched the green color of his skin and they now pierced the second Acolyte. "If you can give a deeper understanding of the code than one gave by this other worm I may choose to forgive your lateness." He glanced down at the spots of blood that had dripped off of Tessra onto the floor and then looked back to Achukka as if a warning of what disappointment would result in.

Achukka dipped his head slightly in a sign of respect towards the marauder. It was not fear that drove him, but acknowledgment of a Sith with full understanding of the word.

My lord.

Achukka had lived with the Sith since he was a small child orphaned by his parents. The code of the Sith was one of the first things he was taught as an acolyte. His memory of the code was sound and enlightened. Achukka stepped closer to the group and began to recite the knowledge of the code from directly from his heart.

There is no peace, therein lies only passion
Through my passion is born my strength
Through strength, I unleash my power
Through power, victory is mine
Through victory, my shackles are broken
The dark side shall set me free

The young Sith Acolyte was much more experienced than a former Padawan in the code of the Sith. It was in Achukka's nature and in his soul at this point in his training. His yellow-turned eyes reflected the darkside's grasp on him well.

Peace is not strength like it is claimed to be by a Jedi. Passion is not to be controlled but used as a weapon. Peace does not keep a person alive, it is their passion. It gives us strength and increases are abilities. Without passion we are without strength or power. Peace has no meaning. Strength has meaning; power has meaning. The weak live under the control of the strong. Power is the tool formed from this control. A true Sith with strength, passion, and power gains victory. Victory as a Sith means freedom. Freedom means no weakness. Freedom means perfection.

When Achukka's words washed away silence pushed back into the room and hung in the air. The Sith Sorcerer let the silence hang in the air as if to give both of them time to think over their interpretations. His hands had been clasped behind his back while they discussed the code. He now let them drop down and made a small gesture as if beckoning Achukka to take up a place next to Tessa fully in the room.

"Suffice I suppose, suffice." He gritted his teeth as he spoke, "I am becoming far too soft on Acolytes lately, consider yourselves very lucky."

He began to pace slowly as he had been earlier, increasing the volume of his voice slightly as he fell into a lecture, "Just scratching the surface or being suffice is not what we strive for here though is it worms? So let us see if we cannot deepen both of your understandings of the code eh? So that instead of pitiful hopefuls one day you may be true Sith."

"Let me be clear and up front with you, despite what some lords and masters may claim and try to cling to; there is no single clear interpretation of the code. If there was, that instead would in-fact be the code itself, won't it? No, the code is both a riddle and poetry, in its very creation it was a mockery of the Jedi. As Sith we do not cling to our code as strictly as the Jedi do. That is one thing that makes us different. To us the code is still meaningful but it is an outline and a general set of rules. Sith pave their own paths to greatness, never forget that. With all poetry it means something different to everyone. Let me share what it speaks to me."

He spoke each word slowly and with precision, letting them sink in one by one "There is no peace, therein lies only passion."

"The existence of peace is a lie and an impossibility. The only peace there is, is in death because as living beings we have emotions, we have passions. Emotions and passions will always create conflict with the emotions and passions of others and in the wake of conflict there can be no peace. The Jedi think they can be at peace with themselves, but every single one of them is a liar. Despite what they claim all of them still have emotion all of them still experience passion, none of them experience peace. They fight against it and that is why they are weak. They try to be something they cannot be as living things. Only in death will they find peace and so we must help deliver what it is they seek," he sneered.

Next came the second line of the code," Through my passion is born my strength."

"I mentioned conflict is the reality of peace. I said that passion creates conflict. Conflict is where we gain our strength and therefore by extension passion gives us our strength. But why does passion create conflict? One man's passions drive him to want and desire certain things, to behave certain ways. Another man's passions drive him to want and desire certain things as well and behave in certain ways. Always this creates conflict between the two men, but this is good. It is through conflict that we grow, we develop and we become stronger. We gain understanding through conflict. Without conflict there would only be weakness and nothingness. "

Next came the third line of the code,"Through strength, I unleash my power."

Passion is the channel of our power, it gives us energy and it pulls the dark side closer to us so that we may unleash it against those we are in conflict with. Passion is our strength, it is what fuels us, drives us and motivates us. One most always control their passions and emotions though else they run the risk of being controlled by their emotions. I do not mean to contradict myself and say one should control their emotions in the way a Jedi attempt to, no. The Jedi would seek to completely eradicate their passions. This is impossible, they need to be harnessed, sometimes fed and then unleashed against your enemies. This is how your strength and passion will unleash your power."

He went on without hesitating, "Through power, victory is mine."

"A rather simple line that does not take much to explain. With your passion and therefore your strength and in result your power you will come out ahead in any situation. Victory will be yours, no matter what the battle may be, physical or mental. Power leads to victory, it is as simple as that."

He combined the last two lines together, "Through victory, my shackles are broken. The dark side shall set me free"

"These two lines go hand in hand for only with the dark side can one achieve victory and in victory you are truly free. The shackles represent many things to many different people and all of them are for the most part correct. In victory you free yourself from the dominance and will of others, you free yourself from restraints and most important of all you free yourself from any limits. True freedom is the ability and the capacity to do whatever you want. The force is the ultimate weapon in the galaxy and only with it is such limitlessness possible. Most importantly only can the dark side allow such limitlessness for the light side places restraints on its users. With the dark side of the force bent to your will there is literally nothing," He yelled, "NOTHING YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE!"

"One powerful enough with the dark side could in theory destroy whole planets nah whole systems with a mere thought, that is freedom. That is what the code speaks to. Unwavering, unthinkable and unstoppable power."

He stopped pacing and stood in front of them, "You should not completely agree with my interpretation because in time the words will speak to you directly. This is the only realm in which you will ever be allowed to disagree with me. Do either of you have questions about the code? Is there anything you would like to discuss? Take advantage of this opportunity worms for if you want to become true Sith your understanding must be made complete."

Tessra stared at the male for a moment as his monologue seemed to draw on and on. To her, all of his talking seemed to be a bunch of fluff added on to the Acolyte's synopsis. However, she wasn't about to let him know that. She didn't feel like receiving a lightning bolt to the face if it was all the same. A little cut or two that would heal and either scab or scar over meant nothing.

...The only thing they would ever be allowed to disagree with him on? The daunting Sith may be stronger than them for now, but how long would that last? The Nightsister's eyes narrowed as he continued to "ramble" as it could so delicately be put.

"My question is this, my lord: Usage of the Force requires concentration. Obviously, the Dark and Light side of the Force are channeled differently. How would you go about channeling the Dark Side?"

Achukka Iti kept quiet and held his contempt for the girl next to him. She asked how you would channel the darkside, and even Jedi know that, so it did not speak well for her. He simply stood, unflinching, in the group while he waited to see what the answer would be. He made notes of the explanation, but also made note of the mercy that their master was giving. This mercy would be rewarded with death by Achukka when he rose to power.

He looked to Tessra with his green eyes, "That answer can be found in the lecture I just gave if you had been paying closer attention. Perhaps in the future you will listen better," he chided.

"The Dark Side is channeled through your emotions and your passion, more specifically your anger and hatred. Use those feelings, grow them and concentrate on them and the dark side will be unleashed."

He looked to Achukka now and commanded, "A demonstration is perhaps in order, maybe you were listening closer than your peer. Prove it now by inflicting pain on your peer with the force. If you are not able I will have to personally show *you* how." He hoped that the Acolyte would fail in this and that he would have reason to demonstrate the point himself. It would be amusing to see how the two interacted and a lesson within itself.

Tessra nodded. She had already known half of the said lecture about using passion, however, she didn't know about the concentration needed to manifest such abilities. Equipped with her new knowledge, the girl who had no Force training whipped around, determination flowing through her as she attempted to wield it.

Hand raised and at an arch like she had seen many users of the Dark Side do, she lifted it upward, and squeezed in a weak attempt at a Force Choke. It wasn't enough to crush him, or to hurt him very much in anyway, but thanks to her Nightsister heritage, she did have a bit of knowledge.

However, on her first attempt nothing happened. So she tried again. And again. And again, until she became so enraged that she couldn't do it, that passion and hatred and carnage seemed to pour from her. Lashing her hand back, the darker side of the Force seemingly swam around the other acolyte. Raising her hand upward, the Force attempted to lift him a few inches off the ground. Then, she squeezed, attempting to cut off his air supply.

Due to her being such a novice, the longest she could go like this would be only enough to get the boy a bright red in the face. She desperately hoped her attack worked. If not, she was so screwed.

Achukka's head lifted as he looked at Lord Azool. He wanted him to hurt the defenseless girl. He did not find the girl worthy of such, but Achukka had to comply, he might as well considering it will spare him more effort.

Yes, my lord.

Turning to the girl, he looked at her. She appeared weak and frail in the eyes of Achukka. She was simply a untrained Padawan and she was attempting to draw on the power of the darkside to defend herself. It was having no affect on anyone, and after shrugging off the pathetic display, Achukka decided it was best she learn. Raising his hand up slowly, he opened up his clenched fist. The Force coursing through it like his own blood, he could feel the darkside in his very palm. A sudden flick of the wrist and that darkside energy was released through his fingers. A short shock of electricity at close range. Achukka showed no remorse in his use of Force Shock, and he simply was using it to punish the girl for Lord Azool. The shock would be sufficient enough to harm the girl so that she would learn a lesson. It was nothing personal, just part of the learning process. He lowered his hand back down when he was finished and remained quiet.

He watched the small amount of lighting streak out and hit Tessa and laughed slightly, "Good very good. Do you understand now Acolyte? He channels his anger to do that to you, with practice you will be able to do the same. Perhaps you are upset now though? Maybe even angry from the pain? You could use that to strike back at him! Do so if you dare." Although he was slightly sad that he was not able to administer this lesson himself, but there would be plenty of opportunities for that.

Azool looked to Achukka at the same time as we waited to see how Tessa would respond, "So you have no questions on the code? You believe you understand it perfectly already?"

After being hit with the attack which apparently came so quickly that she had no chance to dodge, the young female wasn't entirely impressed with the other Acolyte's abilities. Sure, it had stunned her, much which was sensed by her Rancor, which let out a ferocious roar nearby, only to be silenced by Tessra.

Standing, she brushed herself off. Whatever he could do, she could do better. After the small shocks wore off from inside her body, she rotated her hand. Hatred, rage, visions of this Acolyte's death were all in her head. She channeled her greatest passion, which was at the moment: The injury of this stupid apprentice.

A Force Shock leaped from her hands. As it leaped forward, attempting to grasp onto her fellow apprentice, once it connected, it let forth a rather juiced up version of what she had been hit with. Her rage towards him at this point was inevitable. Lasting the general five seconds that all Force Shocks do, she lowered her hand to get a better look at what happened.

Achukka turned back to lord Azool, confident that he sufficiently harmed the female apprentice enough. With his back turned, he was going to answer Lord Azool's question regarding his knowledge of the code. Achukka was completely unsuspecting of a retaliation against him. The fourteen year old girl that was eight years younger than him attempted to usurp his power by utilizing the same technique he did. He was blasted from behind with a Force Shock that painfully felt like she had put most of her full power behind it. His body was electrified for all of five seconds and he was gripped with a minimum amount of pain. Achukka's rage began to curdle inside. The girl whom had no darkside training made a very big mistake.

The rage the acolyte could feel in his stomach was then channeled to his hands out of view from the girl. Achukka was far more experienced and trained in how to wield the darkside than Tessra whom just picked it up several moments ago. His hands crackled with cold energy as his rage was focusing. Sufficiently channeled, Achukka whipped around violently and quickly with his lightning. It was several times stronger than when he first used it and it was channeled through two hands. It was now powerful enough that colliding with the girl would send her flying into the wall behind her. Achukka was sufficiently angry enough to kill her where she stood. Considering Tessra was only fourteen years old, Achukka knew that this was completely out of her league.
