Deen's mind followed the same path as Knight Petra's: he had never heard of slaves within the Jedi, former or otherwise. Even when the galaxy was plunged into the darkness and chaos of Sith rule, Jedi required a strong mental state and stern, analytic frame of mind. Perhaps the war was considerably worse than Deen had imagined, if the Jedi had resorted to such extreme measures.

The second Cathar seemed scared and timid, just like the first. She was a dark black, with lighter markings on her face and back.

"It's okay, little one, I won't hurt you. We're here to take you home. We've found your friend, he's just upstairs with my associate."
Following a similar approach, he kneeled at her feet, holding out a hand in greeting.
"My name is Deen. Do you want to go home, little one?"

The female nodded fearfully, taking his hand. "We...thought.... our old slave masters were coming back......" She whimpered fearfully.

Erin helped the other Cathar to stand. "They are having a relapse about their old life, before they came to the temple, they were slaves." she explained to the other two Jedi present. She turned back to the Cathar, "Let's get you home. young one." The Cathar nodded, wiping the tears off his face.

Jessica could do nothing but purse her lips and nod to them both. A job well done.

"Okay. Good work you two. That was much faster, and much smoother, than I ever could have expected. Well done."

Lynn seemed to smile and nod likewise. With both Padawans back in Jedi custody, there was nothing left to do but get them back to the jumpship and into the air. Petra motioned for everybody to use the stairs carefully,

"Indeed. Well done Padawan Jacmin. Well done Knight Trask. I think our little errand here is quite concluded."

Jess shrugged. Seemed so anyway.

"Deen. Why don't you carry that little one back to the boat. Trask will help the other one."

Cloud folded her arms over her chest and gave some thought about what she had just witnessed. Mmm. Yes. This was an interesting revelation about slavery to be sure.

Petra touched her shoulder and motioned to the exit,

"Come along Jessica. We can talk about this later. For now? ...Let's just bring them home."

"Right."

Time to wrap things up.

The young Cathar female took Deen's hand and he led her toward the Knights. There was clearly something different about these kids, but it was not Deen's job to find out. The two found their way upstairs and Deen took off his thick robe, carefully placing it around the Younglings shoulders. She giggled and Deen smiled at the welcome sound.

"Come on, Trask. Let's get them back to the ship and call it a day."

Erin nodded and she gently lead the Cathar male back to the ship the other two Jedi females came in. Erin then backed away from the ship, still a bit nervous about the two masters present.

Lynn boarded the ship and prepared for take off. Jess turned around on the boarding ramp and gave a nod to Knight Trask. They'd take it from here.

As the jumpship took off back into the wide blue sky, it could be said that the day had been a perfect one. Mission accomplished.

The End.
