Andraste was in the middle of starting another sentence to voice her concerns, but he seemingly shut them both up. She felt his tender lips meet her own, sending an odd sensation immediately coursing through her veins that she had never experienced before. It began from their connection, then down her throat, down her chest, out to her arms and body and everywhere else. It was an odd tingly feeling, a strange warmth that suddenly washed over her. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was returning the kiss, though she had little idea what she was doing. She pulled back a moment later, her eyes wide with shock.

"W-What was that?"

The wonder in her eyes was unmistakable. She was truly oblivious, to the point where it was almost comical. The taste of his lips lingered, and something made her crave more. However, she was right back to being utterly confused. Her heart pounded against her chest and she slowly began to shift away from him, her mind buzzing with thoughts. She slid till she was at the edge of the seat, her eyes still wide with shock. For lack of anything better to say, she blurted out the most pathetic question ever.

"Th-That's not allowed..is it?"

Gabriel laughed. Surprise and amusement created the sound. It was a genuine laugh. The previous bitterness was gone. It was almost helpless, confused. Andraste's question prompted the laughter. Such innocence. Helplessly adorable. He shocked himself by thinking of her in that way.

"Do you want it to be allowed?" he asked. His eyes sparkled. "You can choose. Unless this is just fate. In which, there is no choice is there?" He edged closer. He leaned in, lips almost touching, but he held back.

"Your choice," he murmured.

Andraste looked at him in surprise as he laughed. She scowled, a pang of embarrassment causing her face to take on a pinkish tint. It was the first time she felt a blush rise to her face since they had been on the freighter. He mocked her views on fate once again, though it was not with negative connotations.

"A choice.."

She whispered the words back to him as he leaned in. She did not back away, letting him come in close. She tilted her head, brushing her soft lips against his, almost kissing him. However, she smiled against his lips, purring the words softly.

"I'll choose when the artifact isn't around."

With that, she pulled away from him and rose to stand. She smiled at him, backing away to pull the artifact to her hands using the Force, putting distance between them again.
