And there he awaited the specialist........he looked toward the setting sun, it's beauty to him symboled honor. The red- bloodshed. And the orange- strength. He had to get this man to safety, but he could only do that if he came.
Dart Aran also was to tag along with him. Whether or not he was already with the tech specialist he did not know.

Rev approached his fellow Mandalorian and nodded stopping 3 feet before speaking.

"Rev Nadill reporting, seems as if Dart couldn't make this one, I'm here in his stead..."

Rev didn't know what the mission was exactly but apparently they had to transport a tech specialist, something that didn't sound too hard, but none the less something seemed to always happen on the "easy" ones..

 

[Barnabas]

"As am I." said Barnabas as he walked up behind Rev Nadil.
"Recruit Barnabas at your service sirs."

This was Barnabas's first mission, he had seen combat and been in battles before, but none with a real objective such as this.

"I hope I may be of some help."

 

[Nihilus]

"Good, the man is to arrive shortly." he spoke in a young voice, for no reason at all. You see, Haden was always out to impress others- especially new recruits who were on their first missions.
He noticed a man coming down a path. Dust kicked up behind him, he had to be running from something.
"Help him!" Haden yelled in an ordered voice, not containing anything. He charged, and noticed a group of 5 or 8 people chasing the man. It was indeed the specialist, and sadly, he saw the speeder in the distance, on fire and, apparently, unusable. This would be a mighty fun mission. Going on a planet for miles on foot in armor, having to be on your guard every second. He knew failure was not an option, and going back to town meant just that- the man would be killed.

Rev brought up his blaster rifle. It was deadly accurate and had more modifications in it than some would think possible. Taking aim at one of the 8 men, the closest man to the Specialist he fired. The bolt was almost silent almost as if nothing had even been fired. The lightly armored man chasing the specialist caught the bolt to his chest dropping where he stood.

Running up to Haden Rev continued to fire shots at the group chasing the Specialist. Although some of the men were beginning to scatter as they knew their lives were at risk some still charged...

 

[Nihilus]

"All who oppose us shall perish!" he yelled, not directed at any single soul.
With that, his large sword upthrusted and slit a man completly in half. It happened so fast, it seemed almost as if there was no sound.
Yet, there was another man, that came out of the brush and charged him, yet Haden stopped this attack. The two men engaged in a large fight- this man really knew his stuff.

Rev watched as the 2 men went back and forth fighting. They were grappling eachother and it would be hard to place a shot without harming Haden. Putting the blaster rifle away he watched with his wrist attachment aimed at the 2 as they went back and forth. Rev armed a sedative that would render a human unconscious for nearly 2 hours. Waiting patiently for a shot Rev followed the enemy's torso, if they could get a captive they might be able to find out the plan and why they want the Specialist....

 

[Barnabas]

ooc:sorry, checked several times but wasn't on when you two were, I'll try to catch up.


ic:Barnabas charged in beside Haden and Rev, seeing the number of enemies he knew that someone would need to play crowd control for a few seconds, "Guess thats me" he smiled to himself.

Bringing his Mc-30 rifle to bear, he fired three bursts at the scattering enemies, taking one enemy in the head and another two in less fatal, but more handicaping areas.

As he ran past Hadem's fight and stayed out of Rev's line of fire, he grabbed the Specialist, threw him down behind a low rise dune shouting"Stay Down!"

He could not see any other enemies, but he had registered more following the Specialist at the start of the fight. Oh well, he would guard the tech and deal with anything else while Haden and Rev finished up the big guy.

Rev finally got a clear shot and took it. The small dart jabbing into the large mans neck. About 3 seconds passed before the large thug fell to the ground. Looking at Haden he nodded.

"Sir, you okay?"

 

[Barnabas]

"I think this ruffian broke something when he shoved me down." said the tech specialist.

"Not you, idiot."said Barnabas looking at the specialist sternly.

 

[Nihilus]

Haden peered over toward the man with the gun, Rev. He nodded his head and walked toward the specialist.
"Great timing......next time try not to bring friends." he spoke in a jokingly voice, smiling. The man gave a small little smile and questioned, "When are we going?"
"What is that supposed to mean? We just saved your ass and killed like 8 men to save you and your complaining we are taking too long? To answer you, now."
The man ignored Haden until the last sentence, then got up and walked down the path. Haden quickly follwed.

 

[Barnabas]

"Just what we needed, a wise guy."Barnabas said to himself.

He kept his rifle ready just in case the attackers had any backup, and hurried after Haden.

Rev walked several yard behind the group turning on his stealth field generator then switching to thermal vision he had in his helmet and looking around. Everything seemed clear for the time. Switching over to his electromagnetic tracking it was also clear no one in the area was scanning for them. He radioed ahead.

"Sir looks clear but that doesn't mean we can let down our guard."

Rev was one of the few "true" scouts. All of his equipment would get him by if he got lost for several days and much of his equipment was lighter than most. The only exception was the medical supplies he always carried as well. As he walked he would switch his visions from normal to the electromagnetic and thermal.

 

[Barnabas]

Barnabas ran forward a ways to be a first line of defense in case there were any enemies infront. He may not have had any of the scout equioment that Rev had, but he did have a modified visor to magnify distances, (Binoculars). He scanned the horizon and did not see anything to suggest danger, but there were two ships in the sky too far away to see with the naked eye, but with his visor he saw them as a Nemodian supply ship and a smaller custom ship he could not place.

"Sir, there are two ships in the distance, but other wise I can find no signs of threat either.

 

[Nihilus]

"Pitch camp, in a hidden location. I am sure our friend here is tired."

Rev snuck off and found a clearing quite a ways off the path. Sending the coordinates to the group he quickly put a overlay over the clearing and started digging a hole for a fire. Luckily there had been a small stream near by so they wouldn't have to go out and find it. Just as quickly as he had the camp up he had left to set up some beacons, if anything came within 25 meters a message would be sent to him so he could check it out.

"Sir I'm gonna check out those ships, see where they're headed, if their close I'll see whats going on..."

With that he headed south west towards the Nemodian Supply Ship, that would be the main suspect if it were someone out to attack the Specialist...

 

[Barnabas]

Barnabas also helped set up some of the camp. He gathered some timder and fuel logs, and started the fire with a flint stone and one of his knives. He also tyed several trees to an angle to hide the light cast by the fire.
(OOC: there would be a hole in the overlay for smoke, and that is what I shielded.)

"Sir, do you require anything of me, or should I follow Rev to give him back-up incase the worst happens?"?"

As Haden peered off toward the open sky to the west, he spoke, softly and meainingfully "The key word I focussed on in that sentence is in case. Why? Because something will happen, and when it does, we must all be there."
Just before the last word rolled off of his tounge, he began walking toward the camp that Rev had recently set up.

 

[Barnabas]

Barnabas was not sure how Haden knew something was going to happen, but decided to wait paciently at the campsite for Haden and the Tech specialist.

Rev laid down watching the Nemodian supply ship as it landed. The boarding deck dropped and 7 men slowly made their way off, the odd thing about them was that they were all holding blasters, this planet wasn't very hostile which gave him the indicator that they were also looking for the Specialist. Shortley after 5 more walked out.

"Sir, I've found the Nemodian Supply Ship, they appear to be hostile, I'll follow them to see if they make their way this way, otherwise I'll leave them be, they could be hunting.."

Rev took out his binoculars equipped with a sound amplifier it picking up what one of the men was saying to the other.

"That specialist has got to be somewhere on this god foresaken planet! You 4 split up and go East, you 5 Split up and go west, The rest of us are going ...*static*... we'll have a surprises in store for them."

Taking out a map of the area he charted where the ship was and where they would be heading then the question mark about the other 3 men. Taking in a breath he stood up and made his way back to the camp.

"Sir, they are searching for us, we should be safe for the time being, but 2 groups are heading east and west well another is heading somewhere, that I am no sure of, they did mention the specialist. Our best bet would be to camp out here as were North of them and I suspect the final group to try and encounter us at the extraction..."
