STORYTELLER
Not far from the plaza stands the VIP spaceport reserved for dignitaries and high ranking members of the various houses of Mandalore. While tensions are already riding high in the plaza itself, just along the concourse leading up to the plaza another group of House Treval clansmen have arrived. Above them, the shuttle belonging to the Duke of House Skirata is coming in for a landing. Several of them nudge one another and begin to walk across the elevated pathway/bridge towards the port. Most of them have already drawn their weapons. Across from them a trio of Sentinels chosen by Mand'alor himself have positioned themselves in a triangle formation and have already drawn their weapons.

Inside the spaceport, Duke Elian Skirata descends the boarding ramp of his vessel. He is accompanied by two aides in the form of Count Mellet Skirata and Countess Bria Skirata. The three of them move quickly toward the blast doors separating their landing platform and the central room of the spaceport. Several of their ALLIES wait beyond it.

There are fifteen members of Clan Treval approaching the main doors of the VIP Spaceport. All of them are heavily armed and openly fly the yellows of their house on their armor.

The area beyond the blast doors is a tight hallway with adjacent halls leading into the four attached landing platforms. A single courtesy droid stands at a kiosk, blandly greeting anyone who approaches and provides basic information on proper protocol when greeting one of the heads of the Dominion.

The Three sentinels that stand between Treval and their target wear blood red armor and carry long barreled assault rifles strapped across their chests. Each of them appears to be armed with numerous blades and explosives. The one at the head also seems to be equipped with a jetpack.

Clan Treval's ambitions to become a House of Mandalore nonwithstanding, they deeply resent House Skirata for supporting the transition into a more centralized Dominion and see it as an affront to their culture. They appear to be willing to start a war to make that point abundantly clear.

Among those allies waiting for the Duke was Dav Wren. He stood in his full plate, recently repainted in the blue of Vizsla. It was prudent for him to show his loyalties in the current political climate. Besides, it reminded Skirata that Vizsla was watching. They were allies but who knew how long that might last.

But the Duke also had Mand'alor's clear support from the red armored sentinels posted. They looked armed to the teeth and, more importantly, they radiated danger in a way that made him take notice. Maybe some who didn't know better would question sending just three guards. Those would be idiots and dead very quickly if they made a wrong move.

Wren himself was strapped to the gills with his own load-out but he didn't think he could take all three. Not at once and certainly not here. They had that kind of relaxed posture that hid their readiness. He knew it for the deception it was; they were aware of everything and would move in a flash.

At the same time he didn't let himself get complacent. If poodoo hit the proverbial fan, he wasn't going to be caught unaware. He remembered beyond guarding an ally he was representing House and Clan. If death was the outcome no one was going to say he was caught napping. He was going to make sure they paid dearly for his blood...if they could manage that.

Zachowon had arrived at the VIP waiting area and noticed the guards at the blast door as he walked up the another mandalorian but saying no words. He looked at the door scanning for any methods someone could have rigged it before the guards arrived but saw nothing.

He then focused on the guards. They had amazingly red armor and we're heavily armed, no surprise this being the Duke of one of the clans to bring the Dominion together. He looked around looking for any signs of danger but had not noticed any.

He looked at his rifle and started to make sure he had it loaded and full ammo becuase if something went down he would be ready. After going through checking his weapons (his pistol was always ready and loaded even at night) He stood and was ready to great the Duke as he was a fett and was representing them even if he is only a commando.

zzzzzzzz...
In the far corner near the exit of the spaceport, Kyro stood against a wall with his head tilted upward. He was fast asleep, but his posture made him look as though he was awake and waiting for the Duke's arrival. He'd gotten pretty good at faking consciousness while on guard duty since he'd become a commando. Of course, his armor helped alot with that as it covered his face and muffled his snoring a bit.

Kyro did this kind of thing all the time and had become a very light sleeper as a result, (since people would often walk up and and start conversations with him, give orders, etc.) and with all of his gear magnetically attached to his armor, He would be ready if anything went down while he was napping.

Contrary to what his unprofessional behavior implied, Kyro was A loyal Skirata soldier and wore his black and Orange armor with pride and dignity most of the time. He'd just been exhausted recently after dealing with some clan issues back home. He deserved this short rest, and besides, if something did happen, there were plenty of other commandos here to protect the Duke and friends.

Donar exited the building where the meeting had somewhat already started. It had mostly been petty bickering and slights at this point. Inside they were under tight security but out here was another story. He strode with purposefully steps, his gear on his person. His black and orange armour contrasting together asthetically. His eyes caught sight of Kyro off to one side which he promptly called to him through a closed channel +Look alive Kyro. The Duke is due any moment+ If Donar had such a posture as Kyro had while he was in the presence of a higher officer while in the Border Alliance he would have received a thrashing. He did not want to have the Skirata's get any more flak than they were already getting if he could help it.

He noticed a few others that were brought in to assist the sentinels. He approached them and asked if they had any information. He has his hound drone bobbing behind him in a similar paint scheme to his armour. He would have to check them in again once he returned to the inside of the building but that was better than just leaving everything inside and being unarmed. He saw the body language of the Sentinels and the approaching yellow armour of a dozen individuals. He eyed them warily, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. He walked briskly over to the trio to meet them halfway and usher them inside.

The blast doors opened and the Duke stepped inside. Elian was fully garbed in Mandalorian sentinel armor. His jetpack and carefully maintained gear bristling with weaponry. Despite that, he seemed tired. The journey having been a bit of a strain on his old body. His armor is riddled with marks, burns, and scratches every one of them a sign of his pride as a soldier. The graying Mandalorian cracks a wide grin as he spots Donar standing off to the side.

"This is all?" Countess Bria bristles, her hands on her hips and her helmet under one arm. Her brother looks equally annoyed. "This is the best they could offer? This is the Duke of House Skirata!" She demands, looking at the others gathered. The Duke raises a hand and walks over to clap Donar on the shoulder.

"I think we are in good hands, eh Donar? The four of them are more than enough." He said in a gravelly tone. He tilted his head and looked out the window. "Looks like we have company. Damn those Treval. They move fast." He snorted. "What's the plan?"

Outside, the three Sentinels had taken a step forward. Their weapons raised and warning shouts ringing out. The members of clan Treval came to a dead stop, talking to one another in hushed tones. A sharp eye would catch an exchange between a few of them. A triangular device that looked vaguely like a proximity mine entering the hands of one of the men in the front.

Dav's attention was pulled away from the Duke and his entourage by a yellow-clad mass moving toward them. He turned to face them and counted fifteen armored figures armed to the teeth. He recognized Treval's colors and knew trouble was coming. Their views were well-known.

The sentinels stepped forward with their rifles raised, seeing what was coming. Wren shadowed them and brought up his own rifle towards the Treval mob. He stood a little apart from them but he was with them all the same. He noticed one of them pass something to another.

A grenade?

"GRENADE!," Wren shouted as his mind registered the threat....

"Huh?! Comin' right up!" Kyro shouted in response to Dav. The sudden shout had startled him awake, and in his confusion he mistook this warning for an order from the Duke.

Quickly, he reached down and snatched one of his two thermal detonators from his waist and hurled it through the open doors, neglecting to aim in the process. Fortunately, the bomb was somewhat on target, just barely skimming over the Sentinels heads and landing 2 feet in front of the Trevals at the head of the pack.

A moment of silence passes as the bomb's timer ticks down, and just as the enemy leader begins to retreat, it goes off, killing the two foremost treval soldiers (including the man with the prox mine).

"That's two for me!" Kyro yells for all to hear. "I'm in the lead!"

And with that, the Trevals opened fire upon the Duke and his allies. The battle had begun

Donar greeted the Duke and entorage with respect. He noticed the arrival and the friction in the air was palpable. His subconcious tugged at him to draw his nomad blaster pistol. He did not want to start clan war if it could be helped. But a moment later it was started whether he could help it or not. Skiratas didn't start fights usually, but they always finished them. "Get in cover" he said to the leadership. Draw his sidearm he made sure the priority was protecting the duke. knowing them though they wanted to join the fight.

Keying the commlink he contacted the protector force in the area. It was their responsability to enforce law and see to the peace and generally protect they were as close to any police force that Mandalore had at this point. He saw one Treval insurgent move to the side and get into partial cover and return fire on the sentinels. The doctor couldn't let them be taken advantage of and so returned fire. His nomad pinged against the man's armour who returned to cover for a few moments. Donar didn't like this infighting, it was for ages past. "Fall back to the meeting." he continued to provide cover fire despite them being outnumbered. He wanted the Duke to arrive on time at the meeting hoping that maybe the increase defense around the leader of the dominion and other defenders would protect against these attackers and maybe make them think twice about continuing their assualt.

The fighting started and he turned rising his rifle. The bolts were flying as he got behind cover "that is a lot of people" he says firing over his cover trying to avoid any civilians that happen to be in the area.

He saw donar move from cover to cover providing suppressive fire for the Duke and the others there. "How will we get to the meeting with this many people trying to stop us?" He shouted out from behind his helmet

OOC: Just a note. I will let it go this time, but in storyteller threads, the ability to control enemy NPCs and kill them offhandedly is nulled. They are just as dangerous as player characters, this thread is also death enabled. You have been warned.

As the two thermal detonators flew through the air, the Treval carrying the proximity mine hurled his own device at the feet of the sentinels who were on the approach. What followed could only be described as a snafu. The proximity mine detonated the moment it slapped the ground at the feet of the three sentinels; a blue pulse of electromagnetic energy bursting forth and frying much of the electronic equipment in their suits. The lead sentinel's jetpack sizzled out as the thermal detonators landed.

One of the Treval panicked, rushing forward and kicking the first of the thermal detonators toward the sentinels. Unable to escape except for running backward, the two groups were caught in the joint explosions. The sole bridge connecting the VIP spaceport and the main concourse was left with a wide gaping hole, duracrete crumbling and falling from the remaining outstretched parts of the bridge. With all three sentinels now dead, the party has been left alone to contend with whatever comes next. On the other side of the bridge, the surviving Treval have ducked low and opened fire along the windows of the welcoming area.

---

Bolts of energy splash against the walls around you. The Duke and the Countess dive behind cover just in time to avoid a hail of blaster bolts. The Count is caught square in the chest by a stray shot as he lines up his own attack. He falls backward, hitting the wall, smoke billowing from the shot-his armor the only thing keeping him alive. The Duke drew his weapon and glowered at Donar, slipping his helmet over his head.

"You want me to take the back door? Are you out of your damn mind boy? If they have the front, they have the back, basic tactics! Get someone back there, NOW!" He shouted, drawing his pistols and poking up from behind cover, firing off a few shots. He ducked back down. "You call the protectors? Let's hope they get here in time."

One of the soldiers near the rear of the unit cracks off several pot shots in your direction. The bolts from his weapon slam into the cover you have concealed behind, fortunately, the materials seem to withstand the hit. One more shot hits above your head, hinting at his position.
You are closest to the injured Count, blasterfire is hailing over your head and a stray shot glances past your shoulder, almost singing your neck. One of the men outside takes a special interest in you, firing several pot shots in your direction.
As close as you are to the Duke and Countess, you can see that the Countess is arming her wrist rockets. She is extremely focused on her task, though, and does not notice the top of her helmet poking out over cover.
The men you fire at stay flat on the ground, avoiding most of your shots. One of the men takes a shot to the shoulder as he gets to his feet, crying out as he falls off the bridge and to the ground below. Beyond the bridge, you can see that several mandalorians have stepped outside the concourse to see what is going on.

Quickly, Kyro leans back against the wall, taking cover from the incoming blaster fire. He knew he couldn't stay there though. The Count was wounded and the Treval were focusing their fire in his direction. He needed to get the Count to safety and take up a better position, and to do that he needed a distraction.

"TOSSIN' A FLASH!" he shouts as he blindly, but lightly tosses a live smoke grenade out the door. Hoping he'd fooled everybody with his announcement, he peeked around the corner, trying to catch a glimpse of the Treval who'd been harassing him before the smoke blocked his view. Once the cloud was up, He took up his rifle, fired 5 shots back at the Treval, and charged over to the Count, ducking low all the while.

"KEEP THEM BUSY!" Kyro shouted at the others as he reached and tried to pick up the wounded Count. "Just hang in there, sir. I gotcha."

Kyro then attempted to drag the wounded man into the kiosk where he'd be safe from most of the incoming fire. Once the count was settled, he'd then find cover of his own nearby.

Well there was something they would disagree on. But the doctor didn't give voice to his feelings towards the Duke's words. A man who knew his sidearms and known for his marksmanship of being a gunslinger when not treating wounds he popped out of cover to fire off several shots at one of the closer attackers who was out of cover at the same time before popping back in cover. The incoming blaster bolts follows his return to cover naturally and he shoulders the countess into cover knowing she was in a dangerous position.

"I'll go." he said finally in response to the Duke's command. The sentinels were out of the fight unfortunatly, Kyro was taking care of the count (even though he's at the meeting in the other thread) they weren't going to get across that bridge so they're only way was out of this building. The good news is that the Treval hostiles would make themselves open to fire if they tried to move up using their jetpacks to cross the gap. Moving from cover to cover he maneuvered until he was detached from the fire fight and could check on the exit.

Zachowon cheers in his head as the guy fell. He saw what those that had arrived with him were doing and just kept picking shots every time he raised his head up but got back down quickly avoiding any return fire. He looked at the mandalorians stepping out to see what was going on and he instinctively waved his hand for them to either get down or get behind cover before one of them was shot. "Either get out of here or join in" he says to them trying not to get shot.

He watched kyro deal with the Duke and would try to get over there that way he can give medical aid so he started moving through cover to get to them but providing cover fire as he did.
