2015-12-28: Published first draft of Dalrel, an exiled Falleen noble, who became a warrior for the Sith
2016-01-05: Published first draft of Decim, the roving reporter of ORN

Ideas
  • I should investigate further into timeline-related medicine tech and cypernetics
  • There are so many interesting other characters out there... and all these Indie factions...
  • I might make another second character, probably a quirky droid. It would fit nice into some of the Indie factions
  • Scrapped the idea of the droid. It will be something a bit more optimistic, personality- and playing-wise. Not entirely decided yet. If Fen agrees, he or she might be part of the Outer Rim Network.

Dalrel Anater'zin

2nn400.jpg

NAME: Dalrel Anater'zin
ALIAS(ES): The Good Doctor
FACTION: The Sith Order (Sacred Band of Ziost)
RANK: (Member)
SPECIES: Falleen
HOMEWORLD: Falleen

AGE: 63
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 1,58 Meters
WEIGHT: 79 kg
EYES: The iris of his eyes is entracingly yellow, complete with green, reptilian slits.
HAIR: His dark green hair has an almost blackish coloring to them. He grows it along the center of his head, moving down in a short, but clear line towards his spine. As with many other Falleen warriors, he usually wears it tightly bound into an orderly plait that goes down until the middle of his shoulders.
SKIN: He has a leathery, almost scally green tone to his skin. Like other Falleen, he is able to change the tone of his skin to other shades of green and even into a reddish hue.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: At the first glance, one might notice a few scars every here and there on the body of the Falleen. Though most of them add to the image of the warrior he is putting on and augment his rough charm. More distinctively is that most of his left leg have been replaced by cybernetics in an attempt to replenish what no longer could been saved. A layer of skin has been applied to cover the cybernetic leg, though the appearance is imperfect.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: (Compliation of Dalrel's physicial appearance)

STRENGTH: 4/10
While being part of probably the worst band of warriors across the Outer Rim, Dalrel is not exactly the strongest of them. While originally not past his prime in terms of physical abilites, past events have dimished them somewhat early on.
DEXTERITY: 5/10
Due to some of his injuries and the state of current technological replacements, his overall mobility, balance and speed is somewhat limited. Really you won't see him swinging around vines anytime soon. However, his eye-to-hand coordination has not suffered, making him very talented at fine manipulation.
CONSTITUTION: 6/10
Dalrel's numerous scars and wounds, as well as the fact that he is still standing, are proof of his endurance. However, the same scars and wounds are the ones that weaken his toughness now, not that he would let anyone know.
INTELLIGENCE: 8/10
Dalrel has been a genius ever since, that's at least what he boasts. The truth is, he is not entirely wrong. He is a fast learner and just as quick to adapt to new situation as he is to find creative, if not always efficient, methods of dealing issues that arise.
WISDOM: 7/10
Insightfulness and quickness of mind are two of the major attributes required for someone working alongside the Sith, if you don't want to be caught in the schemes and strange powers. Add a nice portion of stubborness and you have Dalrel. However, his little superior complex sometimes make him overlook things he should not have missed.
CHARISMA: 8/10
Some may call it arrogance, but his latent aura of superiority seems to have a habit of winning people over. Though not as overt as the powers of Force users, he has a habit of shoving people in the right direction to make them do the things, he wants them to do. That the Falleen in general are both biologically and psychologically inclined towards social manipulation only adds to it.

FORCE SENSITIVE: No

PERSONALITY:
Calling Dalrel an arrogant prick would be an understatement. Over the years he has developed a distinct superiority complex, even after being rebuffed a few times from the claims of his skill. Add to this the ambition to shape not only his homeworld, but also the galaxy in total to his liking, one is save to say that he has lost it. That said, he is not the one to be to obvious about his megalomania. In fact, he does a very good job at hiding it from everyone just barely close to him, which are not that many. True to his heritage as a Falleen he prefers to keep a certain mysterious allure, a habit that more often than not wins people over with his smile and antics. He is no stranger to overing loyalty to others, though its more like an agreement or alliance than real friendship.

He comes off as cold and calculating, which is true in most of the cases. He takes his time to think problems though, applying possible solutions and scenarios in his own mind before acting. He is not one to act rashly, though he once was different and some of his comrades know that these changes happened recently with his partaking in one of the most infamous organizations in Sith Space. Sometimes he is the voice of reason amongst his more warlike peers, though more often he is also amongst the driving force for seeking a more radical - if long-termed - solution. He seems more jaded to gore and the horrors of the dark side of the force than most, if only by what he has seen and survived.

People know, he is in it for the boons of being part in the reforming of an Empire. Wealth, fame, status and all the luxuries that live have to offer. While he certainly likes the advantages the victory of the Sith Order would bring, there are also other reasons for him working alongside them. Deep within him burns the bonfire of fanatism to the ideals of the Sith, the rule of the mighty through the slavery of the weak. It's a vision he is sharing, one that is the pinpoint of his loyality to the Sith as a whole. Yet he certainly sees himself as equal if not better suited to represent those ideals as some of the Sith themselves.

SKILLS:
Dalrel has the advantage of a longer lifetime than most humanoids, thereby the chance to pick up a multitude of skills and some handy knowledge. However, while certainly holding the knowledge for some, he might be limited in his capabilities to actually perform the level of physical feats.
Mastery| Pharmacy
Exemplary| Medicine| Cybernetics
Expertise| Network| Survival| Languages
Advanced| Disguises| General Knowledge| Hand-to-Hand Combat| Melee Weapons| Sith Rituals
Basic| Hand Blasters| Police Procedures| Freighter Piloting| Outer Rim Cultures| Sith Alchemy| Explosives| Tactics

STRENGTHS...
+His main strength and possible the only reason for his continued survival in such a warlike culture is improvisation and adaption. Being the quick study that he is, he found a way to make use of what he has and expand on it in short time, no matter what destiny has thrown at him.
+Being a Falleen, he is naturally resistant to mind tricks. Something he has tried to expand further by training and pure willpower with quite some success.
+ Another positive effect of the Falleen physiology is the ability to produce pheromones at will that attracts others to them. A handy ability which Dalrel has used to his advantage in the past.
+ While no longer the mighty, brilliant warrior on the battlefield, he has retained his brilliant mind and understanding for the tactics of the Sith and other Force users, giving him a bit of an edge in combat against them.
...AND WEAKNESSES
- He is physically crippled since his Trial and faithful encounter with his (currently unnamed) rival. It has much dimished his physical abilities, even if him being fully crippled has been sustained by cybernetic replacements.
- While he was once a good, or at least passable fighter, he now suffers from his body not being able to keep up with his training and knowledge, both physically and mentally. While he would be good instructor for young recruits, he is simply to proud to lower himself to such levels.
- He has a superiority complex (actually megalomania disorder), which tends to cloud his perspective in the least opportune moments and also sometimes hassles him with delusions. Not to mentioned that this is also one of the things that will quickly help you get into his favor, if you press the right buttons.
- Although ambitions and outwardly cold, he is a hedonist at heart, often prone to enjoying the finer things in life, once he attained them. At the same time, he is greedy enough that he wants to possess as much of these finer things as possible.

pAbilities_zpsag81gxez.png

STRENGTH: Being a Givin, Decim is one of smaller statue and far from being a fighter. Coming from a world, where dangerous gravitational forces reign however and carrying his heavy exoskelleton, he can hold himself quite well against those. Though the most dangerous thing he could do to another in close combat is scratching him with his bony fingers or falling on them from above.

DEXTERITY: Decim has inherited the nimble, thin fingers of the Givin. Aside from that, he seems to be rather clumsy, walking around with his hands held away from his body at both sides. He will never be a contortionist, dancer or good sneaker, unfortunately, though his time away from home has taught him quite a the few knacks how to utilize his bony outside.

CONSTITUTION: While not the most physical, Decim is one of the hardest. Not only does he have the advantages of an exterior exoskelleton, when it comes to physical harm, he can also seal it completely, giving him something akin to a natural vacc suit. Aside from all these natural advantages, he spent most of his recent years travelling the worst places in the Outer Rim and managed to survive whatever they dished out at him.

INTELLIGENCE: Despite leaving his home early, Decim is still a naturally talented mechanic and even more important mathematician. After leaving his home world, he had time to hone the second of his talents as accountant for companies across the galaxy. Aside from that, his eidetic memory allows him to pick up a lot of curious and seemingly interesting facts.

WISDOM: Decim is not very wise, to the fact that he should probably know better when to stop or shut off. He might be sufficiently perspective, especially for a Givin, but would do better to consider this information, before acting on them. He is more of a long term thinker than utilizing his brain in the moment, though he is not slow.

CHARISMA: Despite his sometimes quirky persona, Decim is generally a likeable person. Not the most manipulative or deceiving, you still don't know whether his bluff is real or not. However, as with many Givin, some people that do not know him for to long, have troubles relating to him, due to his lack of facial expression and general prejudice as being emotionless numerologists.

PPersonality_zpsvmmwwwky.png

Decim seems to love to get into trouble, wherever he is, at least if it is for some "good" cause. Whatever that good cause is, he surely has ascertained over long elaborate schemes and statistics while on the trip across the highway. He has a talent for finding risks and loopholes in his plans and even more so the causes, he is originally supporting, making him somewhat of a permanent critic to his own designs. Especially since he often discusses these flaws openly, even if only with himself, people quickly get confused on the point, whether he even has a true agenda of his own. Though he certainly has a very objective side to view any problem that occurs, discussing it back and forth not only in his mind, but with anyone that dares to spend their time and energy to join in the argument. Though, once having his mind set, he usually goes through with the plan and will discuss what might have gone wrong in the initial design later.

For a long time, the Givin has worked his way through different companies and jobs. While he found his talents well suited for the jobs he was employed in, as accountant, statistician or similar things you would employ a Givin for, it was not really to his liking. He sees himself as an artist, a designer, someone who would like to express himself through his work. Pushing numbers for interstellar companies however, does not fit into that dream very well. It is very possible that this is one of the reasons that drove him away from the Core regions with all their rules and customs set in stone for everyone to follow. Staying true to his heritage through, he enjoys paintings and works of art with symmetry that apply clear calculation on the part of the artist, but even more so those were finding the underlying mathematics is a difficulty unto itself. He himself tries his best to attain such a skill of creating pleasing and entertaining videos and pictures, be it drawn or recorded. If that piece of work also serves a good cause - such as spreading the truth - it is even better.

Despite being an artist, he has also been described as an intellectual. While this might be a stereotype of the Givin, he certainly holds a personal space on pictures, videos and books, be they manuals, guidelines or novels, on his personal dataspace that might easily rival even the archive of the Kiax. He just loves to read and gather more information, but in the long run, he is digging into it for the truth. When no direct information is available, you have to do with all existing reports of it. The more sources, the more truthful the result, or so he claims. With his aptitude to remember all of this information and somehow compile it into something new, he ls often more right than not, when he goes out in the field to check his results in terms of the "most likely truth", as he calls it. All these books have also tough him some handy things, which he is glad to apply or at least advise other people to apply every now and then.

His time as a spacer has lead Decim through many diverse and fascinating space systems, of whom almost all hold their own marvels according to him. He is always glad to exaggerate about them, their people and all these interesting facts, for hours, if you let him. Though he does not react that bad to being interrupted, as he knows, not all people share his enthusiasm or might be distracted with more important things, such as wanting him to repair that destroyed drive, before the ship crashes into an asteroid or other unimportant details. As he knows of his issue of getting carried away on stories, he took to carrying a script of all the points he needs to speak about with someone, as well as the agreed schedule with him to most appointments. Saying that you have all the time in the world, is usually reason enough for Decim to fill it with as much interesting information as possible for you, whether you like it or not. At least you rarely hear those stories twice, though people that know him have developed the habit of telling him to shut up regulary, in order to avoid recurring headaches.

People often describe Decim as quirky because of that. Conversations with him might end up being difficult sometimes, where he speaks about something for seemingly no end and then ponders quietly for the next topic, or an answer for a question. However, for most day to day conversation, he is answering quickly enough, as most other sentinents have their troubles with waiting for a more detailed answer, making his replies seem somehow erratic. Also, during his time living with all these rude people, he has been getting used to them running around almost naked all the time and that some are unable to solve even basic calculations. He has picked up quite some customs from the different planets he has visited, even he has a bit of trouble utilizing it properly. All in all, he is quite the socialite Givin, especially when it comes to other sentinents within the galaxy at large.

His view of the gigantic galaxy as a whole is ambivalent. He is unable to make a decision, whether it is all evil or all good. Frankly, he does not care at all. According to his own saying, he would only be able to produce a decision on this question, if he has all the information available. As he is honest enough to himself, he knows this cannot be attained and everyone who claims so, is blatantly lying. Rather he does his best at finding all the information to develop a neutral point of view for singular occurrence, though even than his idealistic view tends to get in the way of that. Really, he rarely treats something as less than equal just for their species or affiliation, even sometimes forgetting to utilize caution against specific individuals, when he would be better advised to. Also, he has somewhat of a fascination for games of chance, but most of the people avoid playing with him over something valuable.

"I was born exactly 341730 standard hours, 17 standard minutes and 19 standard seconds ago on the starship YDX-335712 orbiting the second moon of Yag'Dhul, which was currently into 13 percent of his convergence with the other mountains on the opposite of Yag'Dhul, at a distance of 1300 miles. I am afraid, my parents did not leave me with a more precise location. Where are you from?"
