-Backstory-

It has been an uncountable number of weeks since Jedi Master Lirinid Xull'Izz took Tyr Farii as his apprentice. The two were successful in moving the refugees safely to new settlements where they can begin a new stable life. During that time, Tyr has learned and been trained and has been able to attain an Younglings foundation in understanding the Jedi code, and the force along with its implementations. They were now in Coronet City, the capitol of Corellia. Waiting at a Starport to leave for the planet of Tython.

It was Tyrs first time in a city of any kind, and as expected he was awestruck. But he kept himself calm and kept pace with his Master as they made their way through the terminals of the star port.

"So.. is it true that we're going into space tonight? Will I ever be allowed to return to where my home used to be?"

Lirinid had spent weeks with the young man, teaching him and building a Jedi, he was learning well and he felt that with just a bit more training he would be a full fledged padawan. He could then teach the boy proper lightsaber combat and the force, not that he was entirely lacking in those skills in any way. He'd taught the boy some basics using sticks as swords and he could manifest the force physically around him. Tremors in a table or a stone showed he was making progress. Lirinid wondered if this was how his master felt when taking him as a Padawan.

"No, Tyr, it is likely that we will not return for some time. Like I have said before, it's possible we come across your home again some time in the future." Lirinid then stopped at their loading dock. Turning he motioned for Tyr to go first, "Right this way."

He took one last look over his shoulder at the world he was about to leave behind, evening was setting once more. He turned again to face the loading dock, and began to cross it, the floor felt weird, he couldn't feel the familiar pulse of his planet beneath him. The heartbeat of Corellia was gone to him, but something was building in it place. He stopped looking back from that point on.

On the ship they were assigned sleeping quarters aside two other Jedi who were also on the planet, they were two knights who quickly made themselves scarce with something else on the ship. In the mean time it was time for another lesson. "Find a pair of brooms,
I hope you took my assignment seriously and have picked one of the forms. Today we start learning."

Tyrs head was was hidden due to him looking through a closet for the brooms, but he managed to be heard speaking.

"I've already done some research on that subject,"

His head now revealed itself, along with two broom sticks, one of which he handed to his master. He continued speaking, and entered into a amateurish opening stance of the Ataru form.

"Based on my strength, size, and agility, I believe I am best suited to learn the fourth lightsaber form. Ataru. That is of course if you agree."

"I can hardly argue with you, but we'll have to master it together." With that he popped the mop head off and dropped into a more skillful Ataru stance. He may not be a practitioner, but he knew some of the basics.

"Ataru will require you to keep in peak physical condition in order to overcome your enemy. You will also need to channel the force in the way I've been teaching you. A skilled Jedi utilizing Ataru can fight on an insane level. If you ever become lucky enough to get a lesson from one of the Council members you'll see proper application of Ataru. It's astounding. Now Steele yourself!" He struck at the boy, meaning to show him a basic strike. If Tyr had learned anything from their training he would be able to block, and if he was learning anything he would be returning his best strike in turn.

Tyr did not shift his position to block, but at the last second stepped to his right, avoiding his masters attack and allowing him to perform an overhead swing down nearly landing on to where his opponent was gripping the stick. The reaction was so fast that Tyr hardly thought about it.

"Heh, hows that?"

Not reacting to allow him a moment to rest, Tyr would find his own attack deflected and the same attack again. This time it was faster and with more power, Lirinid planned on making this an attack incorporating two motions that flowed together.

Tyr's reaction was to block the next attack, and directly step forward and attempt the overhead again aiming for the Masters shoulder.

"Ha! Ha!" He bent his wrist at an odd angle and met the stick just in time to side step and deflect it. His deflection was followed by more simple striking which Lirinid became almost giddy at. They continued to trade these simple blows and parry's for nearly an hour. This was broken at times by Lirinid needing to explain a maneuver or how something he already knew could be applied. It was a thrilling practice. All ending in Lirinid bounding off of two walls and snapping the broom against his padawans, thus signalling the end of the spar.

"I believe. We are... Quite finished." He staggered into the room and flopped upon the bed where he closed his eyes and let out a loud audible sigh. "I'll never understand that."

Sweaty, battered and exhausted, Tyr laid back against the wall, dropping the worn down broom stick to the side. His head rose, and he took some deep breaths to calm himself down to speak.

"Understand what? You always seem to understand everything master."

"I'll never understand everything, Tyr. And I'm only barely ahead of you in this form, only enough to introduce you to it."

Tyr chuckled a bit,

"I see..I guess I'll develop my form alongside yours then. The thing I notice is that we must reduce the amount of movements that we do from parry to parry, to maximize the amount of force we put against our opponent, while conserving our own strength."

He rose from the wall, and stretched his arms out over his head.

"What is your main form then? If Ataru is new to you?"

"I practice, Makashi. Nearly the opposite of this form. I seek to preserve myself when Ataru seeks to overwhelm your opponent. Where I turn my enemy against himself, Ataru first creates and then exploits the opening. It's aggressive, but not angry. Makashi is calm and calculating. This is a blessing regardless, I will be learning to attack from behind my solid wall." This whole time he shifted barely, his eyes remaining closed.

"I..see.." Tyr was silent for a moment in thought. He went to the other side of the room, where his bed was and sat on it. He was silent for a bit longer, looking out a window port into space.

"So, whats the planet like, that we're going to?"
