Tyra Banks interviewed a woman who said her soon-to-be husband is addicted to World of Warcraft. All the facts are listed inside and what the place thinks of how she handled the situation.

But I ask you:

Do you think that Tyra Banks' approach to this subject was right?

The article said the guy would refuse to spend time with his wife and daughter, so he could play World of Warcraft. It said that he would play almost all night and sleep on the couch to wake up and play again before he went to work. And the best line was: he left his wife in labor at the hospital so he could go home and play WoW for a few hours, until his daughter was born.

Obviously this guy need to get-real and thats all Tyra was saying. People may try to generalize that it was an attack on gamers, but it was just one gamer, addicted to WoW, by almost any definition of the word (addicted that is).

Im sure the guy provides well for his family, but it sounds like he neglects them to play a game, and thats not right. Tyra Banks (what a hottie!) was just helping a wife confront her husband.

Just my opinion...

I find it disturbing, however, that instead of confronting her husband and talking things out, she decided to put it on national TV. Not only that, but just destroying the disks won't help you; you can play the game without them.

Yeah .. thats my general responce to all shows like this (i.e Maury, Jerry Springer, etc...)

Why would you do something so humiliating on national TV. How does that make it easier to confront a loved one about some issue? But regardless, that guy had a World of Warcraft addiction...

Yeah, his addiction was extreme. But its wrong to steryotype ever WoW player about it.
