UBESE RAIDER ARMOR​

A telltale indicator of species, the armor is worn by Ubese warriors the galaxy over. The armor mostly is comprised of Ubese garments with protective elements incorporated. It is designed to provide Ubese warriors with protection without hindering mobility, and has a number of functions to help them survive harsh environments. The most technically advanced part of the assemblage is the helmet. It's based on traditional Ubese styles and aside from updates in technology, has remained relatively unchanged for centuries. The helmet is the source of all of the armor's functions. ​

LEGALITY​

This armor is exclusively worn by Ubese warriors so it is easily identifiable. Any wearers of this armor can expect to be approached by Ubese due to their tendency to trust each other. Impersonators are liable to be confronted by Ubese if discovered. the armor may attract the attention of individuals that dislike the Ubese. Other than that, there are no repercussions for donning this armor. It is perfectly legal in all parts of the galaxy.

This write up is meant to be a lore-friendly and generic set of armor that Ubese characters can use.

Functions​

Function 1: Filter
​

• Filters are bulky attachments to a helmet, or function as part of a mask, that filter out environmental contaminants such as smoke or most toxins. They are susceptible to caustic substances and damage.

Function 2: Scout HUD​

• Scout HUD - Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.

Function 3: Survival HUD​

• Reads atmosphere composition and detects toxins.

Function 4: Rebreather​

• Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.

Function 5: Voice Scrambler
​

• For the unusually paranoid, this helmet function can scramble a person's voice to unintelligible garbage, while allowing commlink conversations to continue as normal. Alternatively, it can be used to "digitize" a voice into a deep bass tone.
