BIOGRAPHY
The Givin known as Udilor grew up on the typical home planet for his kind: Yag'Dhul. His childhood was fairly secluded considering the planet is too harsh for most other species to migrate to or even visit it. As one does on Yag'Dhul, Udi studied math and engineering from the moment he could speak so that he might become the next best mathematician of his kind. Intense study dominated his youth but he was content with it. Nothing seemed wrong or different about the young Givin until he was already a teenager. The boy seemed to be ahead of his peers and outsiders even, few as they were, took notice of the boy's existence. Udi was scouted and pulled into the Jedi Order only a year before he would have chosen a specialized track of study back home. It seemed that choice was essentially made for him when the option to become a Jedi presented itself. He spent the next decade training under a master and learning an entirely new skill set before being knighted and allowed to strike out much more on his own.
Personality
Stereotypes and first impressions make many believe that Udilor a cold, calculating schemer who cannot be trusted. Almost the exact opposite tends to be the case for him in reality, though. His spooky appearance is only the outer shell of a kind man inside. Lesser beings who are not a math genius or a Jedi are treated with respect and cared for deeply. Despite their lower status, in his mind, they are all worthy of life. As a blessed being of intellect he sees his role as caretaker to the many who are not so blessed by the force as himself. Sometimes this comes across to others as arrogance or pride, but it is not so black and white. He enjoys challenging himself and growing constantly so that he remains ahead of the curve in whatever field he focuses on. Death is not a punishment to hand out nor a fate to be avoided. A balance in all things makes for the best galaxy and sentient is his motto.
