DESCRIPTION​

The underbarrel grenade launcher attachment is a generic weapons modification which includes a durasteel chamber and launcher platform which is mounted to the underside of a carbine rifle. The modification is typically used by Bounty Hunters and mercenaries who prefer to use heavily modded blasters; the attachment can hold a total of one grenade inside of it and can be manually reloaded (one round of time). The grenades can be any generic or advanced explosive capable of fitting in the chamber. A switch must be activated manually to prime the grenade and then fire it using the host weapon's trigger mechanism. The maximum distance fired is approximately 25 meters but the user must incorporate the physics of a downward parabolic flight pattern as the grenade will launch but then will fall steadily in a typical arc due to gravity.

LEGALITY​

Illegal. These are heavily dangerous weapons modifications and thus frowned upon in civilized world systems as well as by law enforcement. Typically used by Bounty Hunters and mercenaries.

INTENT​

I remember seeing an underbarrel grenade launcher attachment last timeline and wanted to bring it back again for the similar reason of adding variety to players so that they can modify and customize their weapons.

RESTRICTIONS​

Generic Grenade launcher, nothing special. Due to the nature and size, it can only be mounted on rifles and not pistols. The grenade utilized in the chamber must be mentioned previously either in the OP or a character's sheet.
