Once inside, they started getting ready for bed the second time that night. As the hot water from the shower ran over his face, he felt for the first time that he could be okay. He quickly finished and climbed into bed a few minutes later. "As far as this afternoon goes, I'll take care of everything," he said, kissing her before adding with a sigh. "And I'll spare you the restaurant this time," he added playfully.
There was a fear of what he would find when he closed his eyes, but he did so anyway, determined to no longer run from it. So with Kali curled up next to him and him being thoroughly exhausted, he closed his eyes. For the first time since he had returned from Dathomir, he slept soundly.
