No doubt, the concentrated acid rains and frequent Lightning storms were a contributing factor - in addition to the dark history that stained the past of the planet. It was a former refuge for the Sith Order, and had carried the taint of their occupancy throughout the countless centuries that had passed.
More importantly to Vahliri, it was the place where she’d be meeting with her prospective student.
For weeks, Vahliri had considered taking on an Acolyte to teach, in addition to mentoring Celeste. The half-Annfyn had a genuine love for teaching, and took a vested interest in the proper education of the newer generation of Sith. It is precisely what drove her to found the academy on Thule, and ultimately was the deciding factor in taking on an apprentice of her own. Rhaenys had certainly piqued her interest, after a thorough review of her records from the Serenno academy. Curiously, her surname wasn’t the motivating factor for Vahliri.
With coordinates sent for the Acolyte to follow, Vahliri waited patiently for Rhaenys to arrive - staring out towards the acid desert that blanketed the horizon. Ancient ruins and structures littered the immediate area - giving the girl plenty to explore along the way to reaching the Sith Master. In addition to whatever dangers lurked within those ruins.
