Idea was proven that it's merits were not in high enough standing to actually need a thread to try and get it cleared. Thus, idea has been scrapped and destroyed, thoroughly. Will refrain from trying to fix original idea, and thought process in general.

Correction, it has modifications. This vibroblade is modified to be able to cut through solid durasteel. Like the things that they use as armor plating on tanks. Or Tank Barrels.

Then I must be misinformed, because last I checked a vibroblade cannot cut through solid durasteel, or stab and cut through a solid airlock door. I am not meaning to sound like an ass here, but, I have put forward what this specific modification is supposed to be capable of. I do not want to have to go in RP, and have someone whine and bitch at me when I tell them that this vibro blade is capable of such things, and then have them tell me that it needs to be a brand new weapon. If I am misinformed, please make it known, and I shall retract the profile.

My understanding of what you've posted here is not a modification to a vibroblade.

It isn't a vibroblade at all.

One way or another, the admins are the best people to make a ruling on this piece of tech.

you are right they cant. But there is nothing here that says its made difrentley other then it vibrates faster. Add why it can do said things so that it dosent look normal

Uh, yeah... no, this blade isn't gonna work. Even if this "alloy" between Cortosis and metals you haven't mentioned, it wouldn't be able to cut through durasteel. It'd shatter, since you specifically stated it's mostly cortosis. The higher the frequency of a vibrating blade, the more likely it is that it's gonna shatter.

Now combine that with an already brittle and weakened blade, like any blade containing cortosis in any amount would be, and you've got a potential fragmentation grenade in your hands.

The physics of an electrical current passing through the blade into another piece of metal to heat it up, while possible. Are not plausible in the sense of time you're talking.

You're talking about heating up an object to, essentially, its melting point after electrifying it.
When a simple hurricane-wire fence can be powered with over 10,000 volts of electricity and still not be affected as far as its physical state is concerned, i think this is still outside the realms of possibility.

In short; You're asking a sword to do what only a lightsaber can do.

Will be making modifications to the armor since that hasn't seen any notice at all, but some of he ideas from the weapon could be used there to make it better.
