Vader Down

Marvel and Lucasfilm have announced Star Wars: Vader Down, a six-part crossover event between Star Wars and Star Wars: Darth Vader. It's written by the authors of those two series, Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen, respectively. It's a continuation of the story of those two series, and has Darth Vader coming into confrontation -- alone -- with the Rebel Alliance and having to fight for survival. It starts in Vader Down #1 and then continues into Star Wars and Darth Vader.

First issue of Vader Down came out yesterday. Pretty good set up for the crossover event. The space battle in the beginning was great, and felt like a scene out of Return of the Jedi. I'm looking forward to seeing where this storyline goes, especially since it continues Luke's journey to learn about being a Jedi (which is my favorite part of this comic line so far).
