APPEARANCE:
Val stands 5’10” tall with the vestigial horns atop his head, a discerning trait of his race. He has a leaner frame, with a near athletic build. His skin color is a mix of very light brown with a yellow hue. Those who have been around zabraks would notice that his facial tattoos contain far more complexities than the ones usually give during the rites of passage. His eyes match his skin tone but have a brighter yellow tone.

Dex - 7/10 - Dextrous enough to lose pursuers, or chase after people that owe him creds
Con - 6/10 - nothing special, tad higher resistance to physical pain due to Zabrak characteristics (two hearts)

Int - 6/10 - Limited in formal academics or overall knowledge, however knowledgeable about synthesis of a particular strain of spice (knowledge passed on via mother)

PERSONALITY:
Val follows the archetype of the mischievous younger sibling that are often found in the sit-com holovids. He is polite and charming to everyone. When meeting someone for the first time he has an urge to make them smile or laugh at let once. He will make a joke, tease or even play a prank on them. For some this is off putting others love it.
He can be serious as well, usually when it comes to a matter of creds. Val believes that riches will be the key to being someone of note in the galaxy. He fantasizes of the day he will own a luxury barge filled with women, jewels and liquor. If someone were to get in the way of him and creds that he is owed, Val will do whatever is necessary to remove them.
BIOGRAPHY:
Val was born in Iridonia to Kaffe and Renkt Rekkin, with an older brother Drom. They were one of ten families that made up the Rekkin clan. As his brother followed his father’s interests, he spent more time with his mother Kaffe. Kaffe was the town healer and specialized in using many local flora to create medicine and salves. Val would assist her in foraging for her materials and at times even administering them to her patients.
The Rekkin clan along with other clans were unhappy with their overlords on Iridonia. Discontent soon turned to unrest once tribute rates were raised in their sector. An insurgency began to grow, of which both Val's parents became heavily invested in. His father began to supply the insurgents with modified weapons to aid the fighters in achieving the goals. His mother took to crafting a designer type of spice made from an indigenous plant of Iridonia. She would sell the drug to raise funds for their movement. As Val grew older he became further interested in the drugs that his mother would produce rather than medicine. He began to personally deliver spice to addicts and had for a while set up a supply for a off-world smuggler.
The revolt lasted into his teenage years until a highly specialized team of government operatives were able to make key arrests. Val’s parents were few of the first to be apprehended. Instructions were passed along from their prison cells to Val and his brother. They were able to recover their parents life savings and fled the system. They headed to Nar Shaddaa.
Both brothers began to use what their parents had taught them to survive on the moon. Val took to spice dealing as he did on his homeworld. He with a few other street urchins began to work on a block with the blessing of the local gang. With what he had saved up he began to dabble in the synthesis of his own strain of spice that his mother had made. Gradually he was allowed his own territory and with the higher influx of credits, he was able to help his brother Drom open up his workshop.
Just recently Val has decided to diversify his revenue streams and has taken up fencing. Younger street kids offload their stolen goods to him, and he resells them to different buyers. He is looking to expand his business and begin to amass wealth.
