_________________________________________________

Acturus Ganar studied the many shelves of the Great Library Room of Ossus. The Jedi Master, walked, lovingly sudying each and every book. Dimly aware of the laughter of padawans off in the corners of the great room, Acturus found himself in a section he had not been to in a very long while. Smiling he looked down, torwards the bottom of the shelves.

There.

A book sat, a little bit tilted to the left. As he bent down to snatch it up, Acturus felt a tug on his robes. Turning around the Jedi found himself staring at a young padawan. She was flanked by to younger padawans.

"Master Acturus, can you tell us a story? You promised to tell us the story of a great Jedi..."

Acturus laughed, picking up the book, and walking over to one of the many sitting pillows. Taking a seat he felt his fingertips drag on the blue leather that covered the book. He noted the aquamarine stone in the center of the cover, flanked by strange, alien runes.

"Young ones, let me tell you a story. This is not a story about a great, heroic Jedi, nor about a dangerous Jedi that turned to the dark side. Nor is this a story about a great and masterful user of the force. No, this story is about a padawan. Much the same as you, he came to us many, many years ago. Let me tell you a story.........

Let me describe this padawan to you. He hails from the great Liberi city. Now being a-

"Master Acturus?"

The youngest padawn interrupted. Raising her hand eagerly.

"Yes my child?"

"How can the padawan be a libery? We are in one!"

Acturus laughed.

No my child, the Liberi people are a small race of sentients who live deep in the submerged moon of Del'arune. They are a barbaric people, fighting among the canyons and crevices of the great oceans. However, these peoples banded together and built a magnificant city, a great city of untold beauty under the waves, going on for many, many kilometers...something many of you will never see, but on holovid.

Now where was I?

Oh yes, Vanar Delthune is one of the Liberi. The young man used to have smooth blue skin, and black pupils, the liberi people fashion their hair in very long dreadlocks, they braid them and it is a sign of respect among warriors. Vanar used to look like every other Liberi among the oceans. One thing you should note is that the Liberi communicate using their minds. They have mouths, but use them for eating, and their vocal chords are for shouting and screeching. Their very brain matter secretes a small chemical into the surrounding ocean. They use small sparks of electricity from their brains to activate these chemicals and read the 'messages' left within. As a result their eyes glow extremely bright when..."reading."

Now Vanar Delthune is a special individual. He has written this book, many years after his...adventures. Remember he is only a padawan, he is 21 years old in our years at the time of writing.

Smiling Acturus opened the cover of the book. He studied the first words. He had them commited to memory, this small short sentence, yet he wanted the children to understand the signifigance of such words.

"There are... things in the dark corners of the galaxy.[/i]

As I write these words, my hand shakes. My heart is heavy, for I fear that I have much to tell, and so very little time. Time, the thing I once took for granted, has now become precious. I struggle to sit here. I want to be out among the stars, continuing my search for the answers. I am afraid that such a thing is no longer possible. For the moment. I am told that I should start from the beginning...

6hfxfr8.jpg

"We conduct business within her walls. We study and better ourselves within her walls. We make love in her hallowed walls. Yet, should we make war, we must be ready to die for the very same walls."

She is a beautiful city. A city so beautiful that she lays unnamed, daring some poor fool to try and tame such a beauty with words. My people refer to her as...city, in our language. "Tel - Travas"

I grew up in this geat city. I played and hunted among the Great Kelp Fields. From a very young age I was taught to hunt, harvest, and fight for the betterment of my school. One of many schools of Liberi, we all worked together to survive in the great city. I do not remember much of those happy days. For right after, during my teenage years I was subject to Jas Meene's Grand Army. Jas Meene was our ruler, she was devious, cruel, underhanded, and beautiful. Our neighbors to the east, the Gan'viv. had built their own city, they dared challenge the ocean queen's beauty. It was them who started the war, but we where the ones who instigated it. I was young, I was stupid. Even so, I avoided the army recruitment centers. I knew what the "Grand Army" was. I stayed home and hunted among the Kelp. Happy I even tried to find love among the school. She was a pretty woman, a seasons birth younger, we where happy. It was during this time that the visions started. I do not know what to call them, they just happen. My school became worried about me, my birthmother even went to so far as commit me to a Tide Runner. The Tide Runners couldn't find anything wrong with me. After sending me back to the city. I ignored it. Its just that sometimes I... 'zone out' for lack of a better word. Although I cannot remember how, or what I think about during these periods.... its afterwords that I know something happened. Well it was just after I got back. Litteraly the second I swam into the cove, that I found the soldiers waiting for me. They where holding kelp shears. My school watched as the 'honerary' soldier's cut was affected on my long 'locks of hair. This was a sign. A symbol of my recruitment into the grand army. I had been drafted. Those were hard years... Instead of telling you of them, I will include one of the ...'letters' I sent home.

"The days are not so hard. Its the nights that get you. Don't worry birthmother, I have been trained vigilantly over the last sixteen hunting months. It was all in vain, they didn't train us for this. For the sight of your brothers being brutally ripped apart by dozens of Liberi soldiers. After this war I will never sharpen my claws again, nor will I carry a spear. Weve done some horrible things with spears...things I cannot tell you, things You should not see. My commander came to me today. He says I have a talent. You know when I zone out? well he told me something today. He told me that I have a power, that I can use the "Force" I don't know what this means, but Ive been helping us in battles. I'm so happy! I am helping our glorious queen defeat those vile beasts! Good hunting season mother, I pray to her highness that you are safe. I will stay safe."

<span style="color:#008000">"Her beauty stops one's breath, her servants clamor for her attention, her admirers among the thousands, her tyranny absolute."

I was a fool. Fighting in Jas' Meene's name. Although it was not in vain. After the war ended three years later, I was rewarded. My captain knew things, I do not know how, but lookig back, I think he might have been a Dark Jedi. It does not matter, things cannot be changed. What happened next took us all by surprise. I remember it very well.

She was walking down the street. We where lined up on the sides, her grand army, awaiting dissmissal to go home. She was handing out rewards, and laying a single kiss on those few heroes who had survived. She came to my captain. I remember holding my spear, trying not to tremble. I was so niave. She bent over and kissed him on the cheek. First the left and then the second. She turned. He did the unthinkable, he bent over and grabbed her long sleeve. He whispered into her ear. Then it happened. I shook myself back to reality and she was staring a me. I will remember her words for the rest of my life.

"What do you see my little oracle?"

"I- I don'know."

I was nervous. She was smiling. She then kissed me. Right on the cheek.

"Maybe this will help."

That was my first day of servitude to her highness. I will not lie or try to deceive you. In the following years she used my abilities to put down numerous rebellions aimed at stopping her tyranny. Yet the Liberi people respected her, she represented power, power they wanted. Power, beauty and strength. She was iron, I was her eyes. The goddess had my school moved to the great palace, I would live with her, in her very room. I spent several years at her side, working to help her. Over time I felt ...a companionship with this great dictator. Those were strange years. Rumors flew of a love affair between us. I will not work to prove or disprove said rumors. I will only say that we were close. We never saw eye to eye, but we didn't have to. She was a goddess, and I was her weapon. I would meditate for hours, and then it would happen, the visions would start. It was a good living, a living I thought would last for the rest of my days. And then he came. A man of untold origins. A human. A rarity on this planet, and even more so in our grand city. He came in simple robes. From the first moment I met Master Ferrious, I hated him. He was a terrible man. An evil man in my lives. Now I see that I hated him because I knew he was bringing change. Maybe I had every right to hate him, hat the man who would destroy that life. He often watched me. Often he waited. He would leave notes, little pieces of a puzzle. One night I came to him. In his darkened chambers. He told me something, he spoke it as one syllable, not a phrase, but a representation of the truth.

"There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force."

It was that simple phrase that destroyed my simple, if luxerious, life. I left the city. It was hard. Yet it was not my choice. She hated me, I hated myself. I was taken to the Great Library of Ossus. There I met him. MY master, MY teacher. Malak Madora. I arrived at these holy walls, and found a teacher, someone to focus my power, to control these visions. He taught me the code, how to fight. He even taught me the simple, yet aggressive style I now use. Shii-cho. I realized that I do not perform other force powers very well, merely that I am talented at Precognition. I can even use it in battle, predicting my enemies moves. Foretelling their plans and attacks. Its not pefect, but I am getting better at it.

As you read this, you will probably realize that I am still a padawan. Yes, My master dissapeared for several years. During this time I became close to another padawan. Chance, a red-haired human. The two of us caused untold mischeif among the library. Always laughing and training in our respective styles of lightsaber combat. Then she came to the planet. Kohia Hailing from a different planet, Kohia fought to be the center balance to our antics, reading and working, she was very smart, and still is smarter then me. I am afraid its been a while since I have seen her. If you ever do, tell her that she was right....

What happened those years ago? What happened to cause this horror and devastation throughout my tormented mind? I do not know.

I started to search, to look, and finnally, SEE the universe. I searched for several years. I am not ready to reveal these years to you. I will however write them down later, for they are scarred into my memories. The horrors of the universe.

It all started in that desert... in that desert where my mouth was sewn shut, where my skin healed over it. Where my skin became harder, losing the slick blue transprancy, to be replaced with my current visage. I now use the force to speak, out of choice. The sands of that burning world taught me much.....

Terrible colors, the blue is very hard to read unless you focus, especially next to the yellow. Look at the yellow one second and the blue goes nearly unreadable.

What he said. Every single last word.

Also, i appreciate that he's a super secret fish man, as opposed to a secret fish.

And just to be annoying, if he lives at the bottom of a sea chasm type thing, surely he'd kinda fall apart when he came to the surface? Seeing as the Psi would just plummet?

Feel free to not answer that, by the way!

And finally, i seem to have developed a habit of njoying your profiles... Specially the guardsman. Good ol' cannon fodder!

I could connect with the character, as I see myself as a fish of sorts. What with my swimming and all.

Major Updatage, of which I am half-way through, notice the appearance looks completely different than it used to. (From slick-slimy Hellboy sidekick, to dry, hardened Protoss.) Theres an explanation coming, after I get some things sorted out RP-wise.
