NAME: Vash Tembra
FACTION: Galactic Alliance
RANK: Jedi Knight
SPECIES: Echani
AGE: 25
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 1.80 meters
WEIGHT: 75kg
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, trained

APPEARANCE:
Short, white hair, silver eyes and pale skin common to most Echani. More lean and muscular than the average person of his age, but nothing that'd set him apart from other Force users. Has a large scar along the length of his back

ATTRIBUTES:
Vash isn't remarkably faster or more agile than your average trained Force sensitive, though thanks to his emphasis on Djem So, he's gained a good degree of strength, which he uses both to defend against blows, and power through opponents' defenses. However, his greatest feats come from a strong connection to the Force, which allows him to endure punishment to levels beyond what most of his peers are capable of.

PERSONALITY:
Vash is, first and foremost, a strategist. He values practicity and efficiency in most everything he does, be it in his personal life or in dealing with politics and war strategy... not that he has ever been assigned to deal with that sort of thing on his own just yet.

As time went by and he was assigned more duties in the GA, Vash began to use humor, coupled with a fake a sense of extreme calm, in the face of adversity, in an attempt to calm others around him and keep them (and himself) focused on the job without worries about any possible impending dooms. In his view, worrying too much is just as bad as not worrying at all.

He has mostly come to terms with his more aggressive nature, natural to many Echani, seeing that rushing into battle without thinking can do more harm than good. However, he's still fierce in his beliefs of protecting others, with little regard to his personal safety, especially if the ones in trouble happen to be people he cares about.

BIOGRAPHY:
The Echani recalls very little of his homeworld. Being a member of a matriarchal, caste based society, Vash's father left the world shortly after his wife died, when his son was but five years old, heading to Corellia, where he would seek a better quality of life.
The man put his skills as an engineer to good use, and managed to gather for himself a significant amount of wealth, which propelled him to buy his own engineering company, where he would design armaments for the Sith Empire.

All went relatively well for many years, with Vash and his father enjoying a large amount of wealth and influence. That changed, however, when the Rebels attacked the Imperial arms factory, one that his father had close ties with and was currently visiting with his son: pirates swarmed in and took the young Echani for ransom, and when his father tried to resist, he was gunned down on the spot.

As it turned out, however, the pirates in question weren't working for the Alliance anymore, but, rather, to themselves: they took Vash away and hid with him for a period of time until the dust settled.

Their plan went awry, however, then they found out Vash's fortune had been seized by one of his father's former employees, who was now effectively the owner of the company, and had no wish to get the Echani back.

They decided on selling him into slavery, but, as it turned out, that plan was also short lived, as the Alliance, after regrouping from the events on Dantooine, hunted the criminals down, mostly to recuperate weapons and technology they had stolen when deserting, and rescued Vash.

He was let into the care of one of the Rebel bases. There, he was slowly but surely, convinced to join the Alliance, as well as not dwell on what had happened to him. Most of his training involved acting as a spy for the Rebels, and early in his career, he was discovered to be Force Sensitive by one of the Jedi, and began his path to join their order.

Now, sometime later, Vash has been knighted, having learned much and more about the nature of the Force, and of himself. He hopes to do some good in the galaxy, and maybe not get horribly killed while he's at it.

SKILLS:
Vash possesses natural talent for mind control techniques as well as teleknesis. Animals are drawn to him, as are many people, especially those not trained to resist mental manipulation, and he can get some level of understanding through the Force when communicating with aliens who can't speak basic, though that's not a skill he has come even close to mastering, choosing instead to focus on things such as Beast Control, Force Illusion, and Force Stun/Stasis - essentially things that'd give him the tools to either gain an edge in combat or, preferrably, avoid fighting altogether.

He's also devoted time and effort into his teleknetic skills, learning to more quickly and easily integrate this ability in combat scenarios, lifting many objects at once with relative ease, and making his overall pushes and pulls very strong and precise.

In addition, Vash also studied more.... esoteric uses for teleknesis, manipulating matter in an atomic level to generate or remove heat: Force fire and Cryoknesis, respectively, though Vash prefers (and has practiced more fervently with) the latter to the former: it's not only less destructive, but can also be used for things other than plain combat, such as creating barriers of ice, and putting out fires. Both these skills would be a last resort in a combat scenario, obviously, given how taxing on the Knight's mind and body they'd be to use.

In terms of lightsaber combat, he has focused primarily on form V's variant of the Djem So, making his defenses strong and his counters deadly... but he lacks mobility on the field as a result of his form's emphasis on linear bladework. He also learned the principes of Niman, to better integrate Force based attacks into his lightsaber sequences.

All in all, Vash possesses a very broad skillset, with a focus on enduring an opponent's attack to retaliate with precision. His heavy usage of Force powers and chosen form's focus on strength, however, can tire him if he's not careful.

GEAR:
Vash carries a single lightsaber, as most Jedi are wont to do. His is a little longer than most, to facilitate two handed attacks (like Kyle Katarn's saber). Additionally, he carries a blaster as a backup weapon

ROLE-PLAYS:
Another Day, Another Exercise
A War Close to Home
The Failed Apprentice
The Aftermath
A Night to Remeber
A Deal's a Deal
Whole Lot of Trouble
Temple of Doom
Shooting Stars
Coffee After a Hard Day's Work
The Calm Before the Storm
A Harsh Place
Boot Out

RELATIONSHIPS:
Vash still has family living on the Echani homeworld Eshan. Namely two aunts and an uncle he hasn't seen in years. He fears to get in touch with them, should the Empire learn of this and use his family to discover where the Galactic Alliance can be found.

SHIP:
As a member of Star Squadron, Vash has a Malla-class starfighter, painted black with silver stripes, because he didn't like the original colors.

DROIDS:
N/A

PETS:
Vash has a hawk, that he has managed to tame through the use of his Force Powers. He hopes to hone his skills further to get a truly intimidating pet someday.

KILLS:
N/A

COMBAT:
N/A

You've got the basis of a good character here, but needs a few tweaks with the bio. Any character starting as a Jedi can only have been a Jedi for the last 5 years IC. So he'd only be able to join the Jedi after Dantooine, as only 5 Jedi survived that event, that is the premise on which the TL kicked off. You can be part of the rebels and discovered by one of the Jedi and taken in around 5 years ago. Also, he can only know one lightsaber form to begin, so please remove all but the one you pick. You can learn more over time, but to begin with it'll be just 1.

I modified the bio to have only Djem So as a saber form, and now Vash has spent some time as just a Rebel before starting his training. Let me know if anything doesn't work :)

Since our characters are same level and linked by race to some degree I believe it would be highly likely they would have trained with one another. I hope perhaps we can write together at some point, perhaps writing a past story if such a thing is acceptable on the site. I feel it could help us both flesh out our characters further and get some roleplaying under our collective belts :)

That sounds awesome! I'll give you a pm to figure out the details :)

Made some very slight changes to his weight and height, and added a blaster as backupt weapon if that's alright

So the Galactic Alliance wouldn't hold a kid prisoner, and if it was because they thought he was a spy then they wouldn't just randomly let him join the Jedi. Might I suggest getting rid of Dantooine altogether? That's a pretty important event and very few rebels actually survived it and I would want a lot more fleshing out for that to fly. I'd say just go with his father being killed in the crossfire during the pirate attack on the imperial base, the rebels happened to be there and saved his life and took him to some random base where he was ultimately recruited and over time met with the Jedi. The Jedi would not condone of keeping someone prisoner to hold for ransom, and as such they'd stop the GA from doing it, specially on Dantooine as it would have a decent number of Jedi there.

I edited the backstory again and got rid of Dantooine altogether.
Just to be clear, he wasn't suspected of being a spy, but rather, acted as a spy (or was trained as one, but never got to do any missions, if you'd rather assume he has no experience whatsoever). Sorry if there was confusion on the way I wrote about that :)
