DESCRIPTION
The VersaTech Cosmowrench is a tool developed by VersaTech Tools & Hardware, as a piece of kit used to tighten and manipulate small to large parts of freighters and other small ships or hardware. The wrench itself is made of a sturdy Durasteel alloy, often coated in Phrik or Cortosis weave for usage in applied combat scenarios where appropriate, though these are more often than not custom-orders from VersaTech, or aftermarket Modifications. The cosmowrench itself is a heavy implement and is more than capable of being use as a bludgeoning weapon in the right hands. While its primary usage is undoubtedly for tightening both nuts and bolts within the capacity of starships and other such machinery, a deft swing is sure to crack through light to medium armor plating, and deform or damage the wearer of said armor.

While the Cosmowrench comes as standard with a leather-style grip to accommodate long periods of use, this often frays after several months, and can be replaced with any other form of grip that can be wrapped around the handle itself. As an improvised weapon, it is unlikely to attract any kind of unwanted attention, and very unlikely to be confiscated during a routine search; let alone look out of place at the hip of a pilot or engineer.

LEGALITY
The VersaTech Cosmowrench is an improvised weapon at best, and therefore is legal in all civilised sectors, due to its commonplace usage as a tool to fix, modify and engineer machinery and starships themselves.

INTENT
To create an interesting improvised melee weapon, for characters less inclined to carry a blade or stun-baton - allowing characters to defend themselves where necessary, while remaining less than combat oriented as a character.

ADVANCED TECH
Not remotely.

That's not necessarily true. Most melee weapons are, yes, but this is not actually a melee weapon. It's a wrench you can hit people with. I don't recommend blocking lightsabers with it.

I'm still gonna hit somebody with one though. #TLgoals

...you're still totally gonna get it Phrik-plated though, right?
