Vici (Matt's Orphan Retinue)

Write-up thoughts here. I had a kernel of an idea. Basically think sort of a Leonardo Da Vinci team of colorful dervishes who specialize in exotic technology and weapons, as well as traps, sabotage, etc. in addition to the general missions all retinues will undertake.

Thoughts?

Note: A concurrent thread has been set up in Leadership board for Justicars, etc. to discuss. I think parallel tracks would be useful to discuss, so please share insights on what you believe Vici should look like.

I had originally thought Matt had planned for the Vici to be gallant and perhaps impetuous Knights who were perhaps defined more by narrow-mindedness and possibly the closest thing to the original pre-Sith Imperium Imperial Knights of all the retinues.

That would be something else as well. I know Matt doesn't have time to be a Justicar, but presumably he's still an IK, and I for one would like to hear his thoughts.

Alright, well Matt seems to be rather busy, so any more faction input?

We want to get this off the ground sooner rather than later, so let us know in this thread if you have any particular ideas about Vici, or disapprove of the current tack it's going in, etc.

If the Vici are a bunch of orphaned, exotic dervishes, I definitely think Akira might be able to fit in to this category.

Ooh, orphans.

I like that idea. Metaphorical, literal, etc. But yes. They'd wear all sorts of colorful outfits, develop/steal tech, protect/recruit scientific NPCs, etc (as their specialization) in addition to all the general stuff that all retinues get to do.

That certainly fits Akira better than any other retinue. She might not be the best at using tech, but she likely knows something useful when she sees it. She'd definitely be viable for stealing stuff and protecting people.

Cool. Incidentally Allie, I'm keeping you in mind for retinue leader for this. No pressure, but do think about it.

As soon as we get a bit more feedback, I'll finish tweaking write-up.

Well, Akira needs to find a way to get back in contact with the knights (since she was on what, Tel'Hut? Anyway, was on mission when HOMEFRONT was attacked). I definitely think she needs more training with her Force powers and in lightsaber fighting, but she's already supposed to be quite a Seer, and she's able to be entirely self-sufficient in the wild.

She does have an innate cunning. And ICly, a fresher character would add some diversity to the retinue leader ranks.

Insofar as the IC rationale for meeting up with the IK, she felt it in the force and it happened off-screen, if necessary.

Well, Nite wants to do a thread with Akira, so she'll be coming home to the IK for sure anyway. But I'm flattered you'd consider me/Akira for retinue leader.

You're selling yourself short, Allie. You've been with IK a long time, and you're a cool person. I would definitely support you for Justicar, and while I will not force my will on anyone, I would hope that others would see my logic as well.
