...A few weeks ago...

Two figures were speaking to each other in a dark room quietly, one had a feminine voice, while the other masculine. You could see the platinum shine from hair on one quite easily, who also seemed to be toying with a gun. Their voices were solemn and private.

"So you'll make sure to kill him?"

"Yes."

"He's a tough one, but, he's been interfering with my plans."

"I know."

"I'm paying you alot of money for this."

"I know."

"Good luck."

"I don't need it. Goodbye."

Leaving the room as silently as they spoke about such a delicate matter. The business of murder, always a pleasant experience.

...Present...

Following the tracks closely of one known as Lu Kane, she finally caught him taking a break on a quiet part of the busy city on a planet known as Taris. Darkness sheathed the countless buildings and excitement thoroughly enough to make this one area secluded. Hiding in an alleyway, she silently loaded her gun as she heard a hover car approaching. Flattening herself against the wall, she edged more towards the centre of the alleyway. As the vehicle flew past, the trail of wind hitting the young assassin hard, even though she was deep in the alleyway. "Incompetent drivers..." She thought bitterly, but then quickly returned tp why she was here.

Creeping quietly to the mouth of the alleyway, she took one last gaze of her target alive. "Such an attractive man.. too bad he's going to die.." She thought almost with regret. Glancing around carefully at all windows and both ends of the street, she diagnosed it safe for a clean murder. She then raised her weapon and readied it to be shot. Shutting one of her eyes for a more accurate hit, she aimed carefully at the older adolescent clad in tan robes.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*Lu brushed back his hair from his face, leaning against a wall in the bustling city. He was out doing some scouting, he had just come out of a cantina just around the corner. The street was empty, then a hovercar wiped by, he was obviously in a hurry, it whipped his hair once more out of place, he sighed and smoothed it back. He kept his eyes downward, seeming to be deep in thought*

*The young assassin in the allyway lifted her gun, and shot. The super heated bolt lashed out towards Lu, at the last possible moment, he flipped open his robes, brought his lightsaber into his right hand, igniting the fiery red-gold blade and slapping the bolt harmlessly aside*

*Lu then raised his eyes to look up into the allyway to lock gazes with the girl, he smiled at her*

"Nice try babe"

Her pale cyan eyes went wide, staring at her target, and her gun-wielding hand began to tremble. "No.. can't.. be..." She stuttered in a whisper to no one in particular. The strong wave of astonishment went through her and left a significant mark. No one had ever escaped, let alone, rebounded her shot in an assassination. Seeing the Jedi for what he truly was in relevance to his skills. She was at a loss of words and stayed frozen for a moment.

The words directed at her however, brought her back to reality, while infuriating her at the same time. Knowing this man could kill her in an instant, she held her gun tight, and her eyes slitted in shame of herself. The teenager then glanced into the alley, and hightailed it, straight into the dark maze of the suburban part of the city.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*Lu smirked as he saw the look on her face. He watched her begin to bolt outta there and smiled again, then whispered to himself*

"Oh no you don't"

*He deactivated his lightsaber, slipped it back into his pockets and took another way round, not following her through the allyway, but talking a "short cut". He emerged on the other side of the street, saw her silky blonde head dip into the ground and bounded after her. He reached out with the Force to track her, she was headed out bound of the city, so he decided to cut her off. He disappeared from sight and down another side path*

Running as fast as she could, as she had done a bit of homework and knew Jedis were fast, just not how fast. The end of the alleyway she was bolting through ended, but another alleyway began with a tall chain link fence. Afraid he was following her, she scrambled up the fence as fast as she could. When she reached the top, she looked back, then looked forward, for him.

Leaping down from the top of the fence and bending her legs as shocks to break her fall, she took off yet again. Fear had taken her ahold, the impact of this failure was doing quite a number on her. She started running past many "intersections" of alleys through the one she was running through. This only made her more paranoid, and she started running faster, her long platinum hair trailing behind her.

*Lu swung around and jumped forward, he was atop the buildings, leaping from roof to roof, just above her, watching her run. He was only trying to keep up with her at the moment, knowing that at any second he could jump down and take her out. He jumped onto the next building and looked down once more, she was looking around frantically. As he ran his saber flung into his hand, he ignited it with a snap-hiss and leaped off the edge, head first, spun in midair and landed perfectly on his feet, right infront of her. He looked up into her cold pale eyes and smiled once more*

"Are you lost are something?"

Her eyes yet again widened significantly at the sight she was fearing. Though she was going far too fast to stop, he hadn't given her enough space to anyways. She was slowing down, but still going exceptionally fast. She banged into him straighton, with a collision of two bodies.

The outcome was he seemed to be only forced the step back, while she rebounded off him onto her back infront of him. Quite disoriented from the hit, she forgot where she was for a moment, shaking her head and rubbing her forehead with her left hand. Then she looked up at the blonde Jedi with distinctive red eyes, and she froze.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*Lu lowered his gaze to meet hers, his eyes burning bright as they always did when in conflict. He ignited his fiery blade and pointed it down at the her neck*

"I'm sorry about that, but lets get down to business shall we? Who are you, and why did you try to kill me?"

*As he looked down at her, he noticed her obvious beauty, it was a tragedy that someone so beautiful had gotten herself into a mess like this*

Flattening herself against the pavement, staring at the end of the lightsaber by her throat, she felt the handle and trigger of her gun in her right hand, especially the trigger.

"I don't believe that's any of your business."

And swiftly raised her hand and shot Lu Kane in the left shin, right under the knee, without even raising her head, or the rest of her body for that matter.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*The lower robes of Lu's leg were turned to shrapnel, some metel came off as well, he jolted but remained his calm appearence. He reached down with his left hand and tapped his leg with a ring on his middle finger, it made a clanging sound as he smirked*

"Too bad it's metal hun"

*Lu shot out his left hand again, whipping the blaster from her hand into his with the Force*

"Your a fiesty one, but I shall ask once more, who are you, and why are you trying to kill me?"

You could physically feel her rage at the fact the leg was metal, as she did not even try and cloak the frustrated growl that emitted past her lips. She grasped at the air uselessly for a second as her gun was taken. She looked up innocently at him, her pale cyan contrasted with his fiery red.

"I cannot tell you."

She replied rather sweetly.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*Lu laughed slightly. He liked this girl, just too bad they had to meet this way*

"Your full of spite, I like that, and I can feel your anger, you could use that to your advantage. But tell me, whats a pretty young girl like yourself doing as an assassin? You could be so much more than a simple "bad girl", although I do like the image you project"

*He looked her up and down, she was attractive, very attractive, and he was a sucker for beautiful girls*

She still stared him straight in the eye, as light as her eyes were, they still projected dark fury towards him. But, keeping to a trait of her profession, she refused to tell him anything.

"Wouldn't you like to know."

She remarked slyly.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*He frowned at this, aparently his friendly approach wasn't working*

"Maybe you'd be more comfortable if you weren't on the ground with my lightsaber at your thoat"

*Lu deactivated his fiery saber and reached down and took her hand, lifted her up off the ground and stood her on her feet. he kept her close to him, and to the wall, just incase she tried anything*

"Now, I could make this easy, or we could do this the hard way, just tell me your name for starters"

She writhed and squirmed in his hold, trying to push him off her, but with no avail. "I knew I should have done some weight training or something..." She mumbled to herself. But seeing no way out, she surrendered, shaking a bit before him.

"Serina."

 

[Ser Yorick]

"Serina... Okay, well you probably already know, but I'm Lu Kane, former member of the Jedi. Now would you be so kind as to answer my second question?"

*Lu stepped closer to her, so close in fact that she could feel his breath upon her face. He looked down at her, his eyes dimming a bit from the previous state*

Still in disbelief she failed her assassination, she was still struck with an anti-reality check, the failure going over and over in her head.

"I know who you are."

She was trembling at this point, her whole body was pretty much vibrating in fear of death. Holding her hands and arms tightly pinned against her chest, she stared at the centre of his, as she was nearly a foot shorter then him.

"I'm sorry, I believe I've forgotten the second question, isn't my name enough?"

Her voice was as shaky as her current appearance.

 

[Ser Yorick]

*Lu frowned again, she was shaking all over, he tilted up her chin with his left hand, so she could look him in the eye*

"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you... yet. At least, not until you are of no more use to me. My second question was, why are you trying to kill me? You obviously lack the skills to do so, and the conviction, no offense"

*A noise rang overhead, another speeder just went by. Lu looked to the side and then quickly back at her*

Her fury built up once again, in the split second he gazed at the speeder, Serina reached down swiftly to the ground, lifting up her pantleg, and grabbing a well-taken-care-of dagger. As he turned back she rose as fast as she went down, and had the blade against his throat, pressing hard. A single blood drop from the tip even dripped down in a swerve.

"What did you say I was lacking?"

Rage was encircling her pale irises, and her brows scrunched into a glare, she was staring straight at his eyes now.

*Lu smirked, showing absolutely no fear, infact, this was what he wanted her to do. He stared straight back into her eyes, the two were so close now*

"Oh, it seems you got me there, but tell me, why do you waste your talents in assassin jobs? You could join me, I could teach you a great many things you know."

*He leaned forward, forcing her to push the knife even harder against his skin, but he continued to smile. He raised his right hand slowly, and with the Force sent a jolt thorugh her body, enough of a distraction to allow him to bring his hand up to her throat and bat away the blade. Then he did the unthinkable, he stared straight into her eyes, fire and cyan, then kissed her quickly and softly*
