Capitol police make dozens of forceful detainments​

The theme song played. The lights were on. The camera turned to him.

"Panic and violence in front of the Senate building today as a demonstration to show support for President Emryc Thorne was foiled by Corscuanti PD, resulting in a clashing of heads."

Footage of the protest is shown--a Rodian man laying a laurel of wreaths for Thorne only to be shoved by an officer, a Duros man slamming his fist into a shield, four officers detaining him--and then it's back to Jako.

"When reached out to for comment, Coruscanti PD's spokesperson stated on Switter that "All attempts toward a peaceful dispersal of protestors were made. Unlawfully gathering in front of a government building--for a good cause or not--is illegal, and violators will be charged with trespassing."

"Meanwhile, the ISC is hard at work on the trail seemingly, judging by the heavy police and specialist presence at the scene today. More on the situation as it develops."

As footage of the protest was shown, some of the viewers might be able to make out a massive figure standing amongst the rioting crowd as the camera panned over the scene. A female wermal of considerable height wearing a platinum blonde wig could be spotted bobbing a sign up and down in the air. For a moment, the words "SAVE OUR EMRYC THORNE" could be made out against the otherwise blurry pixels. The woman jumped up and down, shouting along with the crowd.

Some of the viewers might recognize this as Pootalina, president of the Emryc Thorne fanclub.
