Combat of a large scale has mounted on Tatooine over recent months: private security forces of Xero-Vain Incorporated have begun to wage war on the Hutts that have called Tatooine home for generations. Neither the Alliance nor the Imperium wish to get involved, seeing it as just another commercial feud over possible Hutt-hired raiding on Xero-Vain shipping. Whether this is true or not, however, has faded from importance.
The Hutts have sent out a general call for bounty hunters, assassins, any and all of the ilk that they normally call upon to fight their battles and manage the dirtier aspects of their businesses. Xero-Vain has also sent out a call for such individuals, promising better pay and possible future benefits for those who sign on to aid their armed forces.
Aside from Tatooine, rumours are rampant on Nar Shaddaa after two Hutts were assassinated, both of whom held positions of influence across known space. Whether this was done by Xero-Vain or by some enterprising individual taking advantage of the brewing conflict remains to be seen.
