Violet Tempest

Appearance
At a fairly average height and very light, this girl is far from a very imposing figure, but Violet does not simply get lost in the crowd. Her bright purple hair, for one, is very striking, and strange for a human. However, she has been known to dye her hair to a dark brown colour, when she needs to fit in more, or just from time to time regardless. She also bears bright green eyes, contrasting with her hair and standing out ever the more so. She chooses to wear Jedi robes, for the most part, although their design and colour vary on a day to day basis, but the style in which she is pictured, not stereotypical of Jedi robes, is her preferred look. She is very pretty and does take a little pride in her appearance, but is not vain. She is generally honest and outright with people, not one to keep opinions to herself, unless she is working under cover.
Personality
Not a shy girl, Violet likes the company of others and is rarely one to shun an opportunity to meet new people. She is friendly, but if you annoy her she will dislike you, and if she dislikes you, she will tell you. This bluntness has got her into trouble before, but she prefers to be honest with people. She bases her opinions on intelligent reasoning, not just blind instinct, but at times she allows herself to build negative views of people if they annoy her. She has many ideals and morals about right and wrong, and it would take a lot for someone breaking one of those morals to still be held in good regard by her. Many of these ideals reflect some of the Jedi laws, the Eight Tenets, and she works very hard to be a good Jedi. She is a caring and loving girl, especially when her friends are concerned, and will do anything for them. She is forward in her intentions towards others and is fairly ambitious. She is very hard working and will always do her best to achieve her goals, whether it is learning more about the Force, practicing with a blade or helping a friend. Violet is not naïve, and she knows her looks are an asset, but she does not string people along or use them.
Strengths and Weaknesses
She is very strong in the Force and has spent many hours dedicated to learning more techniques and perfecting what she knows. She is astute and intelligent, never obeying someone who she does not trust without questioning them and never complying with commands she does not believe in herself; she will never go against her morals or her friends, and so far she has never had to decide one over the other. She is not physically very strong, but she makes up for this by being light on her feet and learning her techniques as well as she can. She has chosen to study and perfect her talent in the noteably complex and even dangerous lightsaber Form VII, Juyo. A form based on intense stamina and speed, with an amount of strength to back it up, Violet has the first two in copious amounts, and although compared to many Jedi she is not particularly strong, she is stronger than many, nonetheless. With the aid of the Force, she can be a devastating warrior, perhaps surprisingly so given her appearance. She forms close attachments to her friends, and this can be a strength, as her trust and understanding with them is reciprocated, and a weakness, as when she does lose a loved one, she takes it very hard.
History
Violet was born on Coruscant, at the Jedi Monastry, to a Jedi Knight mother, and a politician father. When she was still a toddler, her parents grew apart, this culminating in them splitting up, both wanting to have Violet live with them. In the end, her father consented to her living at the Jedi Monastery, where she would train to be a Jedi and have her mother to look after her. She regularly saw her father when she was young and her mother took care of her in the monastery, and she grew close to both of her parents. But then, at the young age of thirty-six, her father was assassinated. Her mother grew dangerously depressed and the Council had Violet moved to the Temple on Ossus, to avoid what problems they could, while Violet still was too young to really understand what was going on.
As she grew up, she became friends with some of the other younglings about the temple, and found she hated being alone, enjoying the company of others whenever she could. She was also very interested in what her masters had to say and listened to them avidly, often doing extra research and meditations. When she began lightsaber combat, she found great interest in that, and practiced against training remotes and droids often. She was talented, although she was not very strong, she made sure she perfected her technique with her blade.
Although she had been forced to move away, she still saw her mother often, her coming to visit Ossus often. However, in her thirteenth year, tragedy struck. Her mother became badly ill and died on Coruscant. Violet was taken to Coruscant to her mother’s funeral, and she suffered badly from the pain.
She returned to Ossus, growing closer to her friends for support as she dealt with this hard time. She continued her studies and began to study the lightsaber form Juyo. Her emotions made it a dangerous path for her to tread, but her agility and precision made it the form for her, as she strived to control her own emotions. Three years later, she was ready for her instruction to really begin, and eagerly began her training under Banik Kelrada, the Jedi Grandmaster himself. A short way into her training, Banik sent Violet on her own on a mission. He later met her at her destination and discussed more about the teachings of the Jedi. A little further into her training and she constructed her own lightsaber, and it shone true to her name with an orchid coloured blade. After being trained by the Grandmaster, Violet became a fully fledged Jedi Knight, taking on her own apprentices and using her power and talent to the best of her ability.
