BIOGRAPHY

Hosko is just one of of several agricultural worlds under the control of the Hutt cartel, But don't assume that every farming community is peaceful and quiet. Especially if it is under the thumb of the Hutts. Hosko doesn't earn much for its crops, but people need to eat and the Hutts long ago figured that it was cheaper to produce food than it was to continuously buy it. In order to keep production optimum, little heavy industry was built on the planet and its cities tend to be smaller and thinly spread. This lack of density and income forced the various vigos and their enforcers to seek more creative avenues for profit to come in.

The vigo overseeing Vira's home town had over the course of years built a small fighting ring (which he had acquired after it's previous owner failed to pay protection) into a sizable gambling den, one that drew farmers and packers in from dozens of kilometers away. Some people even made weekend trips from Okham City in order to spend time at this fledgling casino. Vira's father frequented this den often in his free time, and that is where he met her mother who was one of the vigo's best dancers. One trist too many and the vigo finds out that one of his best earners wont be able to dance for close to a year, and he was displeased to say the least. In order to make up for what her mother had "lost" the vigo, and the cartel as a whole, her father was forced to work directly for the him, with most of his "earning" going toward that debt.

And thus Vira was born into what amounted to slavery, grew up in a seedy gambling den with an aging dancer for a mother and a father too ties to the sabback table to fully pay off their debts. Needless to say she toughened up quick in order to survive where people went missing and with her being alone most of the time. As her father started falling further and further behind in his payments Vira signed on as labor at local farm but was quickly replaced by a droid workforce. Next was the quarry, where she could squeeze into smaller spaces in order to plant det charges. As she grew she took a small interest in fire, the way it moved and shifted often entranced her for long moments. But no one really seemed to notice or care, after all everyone needs their own way to escape.

But then at age 14 her mother was no longer entertaining the crowds, she was older and washed up and wasn't making early enough money to satisfy the vigo, and one day she simply vanished with no one speaking about her openly again. What did Vira's father do about this? He drank himself into a stupor and stumbled his way back to the sabback tables. This time he lost more than big, more than he could ever hope to pay off. And so it was that Vira saw him talking in low tone with a particular Zygerian, one who made no secret of the fact that he was a higher end slave trader. That night she took her father's blaster and left, and when he tried to stop her she put a bolt into both of his knees.

After a while she ended up in Okham City. Having few skills and even fewer friends she began mugging and pickpocketing travelers at the spaceport. This caught the attention of a minor gang who quickly took her into their ranks. They worked a pretty profitable protection racket and ran packages across the city. And as the cartel started to expand so did the trade through Hosko, pushing them to expand their protection ring and even throw in some extortion, most shop owners played along after the third "electrical" fire. By 17 the gang had earned the patronage of another vigo, one who liked the mayhem they created, and Vira started taking jobs directly from him instead of the gang.

Her big break came when a Hutt who was too inept to play the power games closer to the capitol was given control of Hosko as it's Lorda. She immediately set about building a palace in Okham, one that obviously would cater to such tastes that any Hutt prides themselves on. But there was just one problem, a vigo in the countryside already had a hold on the gambling and entertainment market in that area. As luck would have it some evidence conviently appeared that he had been skimming a lot of credits off of what he sent to the cartel and the Lorda decreed that he should be made an example of. She asked her vigos to find an enforcer that would get rid of him, and his establishment if it proved convenient. Vira's name was at the top of the list.

Armed with hatred for the man who ruled over her family from afar, the opportunity to become more than a thug but a sworn bauboka, and a few agricultural clearing charges she went home. That night the bar, gambling tables, and the vigo's private room all caught fire simultaneously. And wouldn't you know it, but a bad ground car crash sealed the exit. Vira watched the building burn down to a smoldering heap, returned to Okham and swore herself to the Cartel. in the years since he has moved off planet and gained a reputation that put simply would be "dramatic but effective"
PERSONALITY & APPEARANCE

Arguably middling height for a human woman Vira has enough a slender but powerful force, focusing more on muscle density than mass. She wears her blond hair long on the top and shaves both sides, often dying the tips orange, purple or pink. She tends to wear light, overly large tunics (preferring open cuts) and tops it off with a long nerf hide jacket. She will often times wear a necklace whose pendant serves as the base for a slow fuse that she lights, letting the smoke drift up to frame her face.

Vira knows how hard life is, and how lucky she is to be free and breathing, and that her life can end at any time. As such she is hardly what people would call reserved, preferring to speak her mind and have fun in whatever whay she can. Often times this takes the form of violence and fire holds particular sway over her levels of enjoyment. People claim that she has a flair for the dramatic, making productions of her moods and often toying with those she has to collect from. Even going so far as to call herself "the Arch Arsonist".

Skills and Abilities

Vira's early years as a laborer at the quarry taught her quite a bit about handling, preparing and setting explosives. Over time she gained a knack for spotting the best place to set a charge to achieve results, and this skill has done her well in the service of the Hutts, turning uncooperative establishments into rubble. And due to her particular liking of fire she has grown competent with incendiaries as well.

Her time running around the streets of Okham and after have seen to it that she has come into contact with quite a bit of machinery, and if someone wants to know the most effective way to destroy a machine or hide a "package" within it they must learn about the machine. As such Vira is comfortable woking with machinery, but takes little pleasure in building or maintaining.

Surviving the streets is hard, and harder still on your own. And even if you are armed sometimes blasters fail, and if you don't know how to use your fists you are likely to end up dead. While not trained in any particular style, Vira has had plenty of practice with a blade and her bare hands.
