Voka had a troubled childhood back in the day and he often avoids touching upon his past and rather focuses on the future. He feels pains of anguish when he sees scenarios that remind him of the death of his sister and often pushes his self-esteem down.

HISTORY:
Voka Reireek was born within Equator City of Rodia. Voka’s father, Domo Reireek, detached himself from the Bomu Clan at an early age of 16 to live a life away from crime and violence. Luckily, Domo’s life was spared in exchange to be branded on his cheek right below his left eye where the Bomu Crest tattoo lay. The reason was due to the reputation of Domo’s father, an infamous Bomu warrior who ambushed and slain many enemies with a vibro knife that has been passed down from generations. Domo inherited the knife the day his father died in combat and decided to keep it as a memoir of who he was. Domo moved to Equator City and worked at a speeder manufacturing plant. He soon fell in love, got married, and started a family with 2 children; he truly was living his dream of a peaceful city life at the time being.

At an early childhood, Voka took up private schooling at Equator City learning the languages of basic and huttese. Voka’s family was able to sustain a middleclass life at the city to ensure a bright future. Domo and his wife both dreamed of their son, Voka, and daughter, Miwa, living their lives as scholars and eventually travel the galaxy to expand their lives and influence. Through all the hard work of schooling, Voka and his sister, would often escape the boundaries of Equator City to play around the lush trees without any care in the galaxy. The day Voka turned 12, Domo passed down the heirloom knife to Voka’s hands. It was the day Voka thought he could blissfully treasure always.

Excited by the thought of actually wielding a vibro knife, Voka took Miwa with him to test out the blade at the tree trunks outside the boundaries of Equator City. As Voka happily cut through harmless leaves and branches, Miwa slowly nudged Voka as she stared in horror of a lone ghest its snarling jaw slowly opening, its sharp feet slowly stalking towards them. Voka and Miwa were both frozen in panic as the only muscles that reacted were their hearts beating at an alarming rate as they laid their eyes at the very symbol of death. The chances of encounter such an endangered species was extremely rare and only hunters often encountered them. Voka and Miwa were too far from the city, too far to escape, too far to cry for help.

The white soulless eyes of the scaled crature focused on both children, then onto Miwa herself. In just a flash of half a second, the ghest pounced on its prey and thrust its fierce claws upon Miwa’s fragile little body. Voka’s heart stopped that moment, it was as if time itself stopped for that moment. Blood spurted out the body, where the heart should have been was replaced with a claw.

Just when the creature was about to lay its jaw around the head of the lifeless body, it felt a sharp, clean jab on its back. The creature of death roared in agony as Voka continued to stab the back again and again and again. Fear was drained by a rise of rage as Voka stabbed mindlessly. The creature pushed the raged rodian away and charged headfirst for the boy, its fang filled jaws aimed for his head. Fallen back on the ground, Voka raised his right leg and jammed it into the jaws of the creatures without thinking. A sharp pain rose from the leg but the only thing Voka cared about was revenge. With his right hand clutching the knife, Voka lunged the blade inside the mouth of the creature, cleanly puncturing the top of the mouth and straight to the cranium. The wounded Rodian boy carried the body of his once lively sister an agonizing 3 hours back into Equator City in silence. A year of silence and despair befell to him and his family. The same feeling of regret repeated throughout his head, ‘Why did I bring my sister along?’

At the age of 13, Voka was walking his way back to his apartment after school. For a year, his parents rarely spoke to him and continued to shun him for what happened. Two slightly older rodians approached him as Voka walked. They appeared to have the Bomu clan marks on their left cheeks and persuaded to recruit Voka back into the clan. Word spread of the 12 year old boy who slain a ghest with only a knife and eventually gathered the attention of the higher-ups of the Bomu clan. Voka had nothing to lose, at a juvenile age he was desperate to do anything to fill his dark void of regret. The two Bomu members appealed to Voka in ways that his skills that it can be improved upon, he can grow stronger, he can defend himself, he can fight for others, he can feel loved again by his comrades, and that his killing of the symbol of death itself proved that he was made for the Bomu clan. Voka gradually accepted and erased his old life away from his parent, and into a life of juvenile thieving, scamming, conning, and fighting.

At the age of 16, Voka was summoned by a high rank clan member to engage in a mission unlike anything he had done before. He was given the order to terminate a human family located around south of the main city. The humans were studying the geological structure of Rodia yet their location wasn’t the best of choice for they were treading to close towards what the Bomu clan can’t let known. Voka had no idea what the Bomu were hiding there since he was still a low rank, but the Bomu higher-ups acknowledged the mission as a test of Voka’s morality and loyalty to the clan. Voka had never killed anyone in cold blood and had a hard time adjusting to this mindset until the moment his eyes laid on the target picture. A man, woman, and a little girl were shown before him. Voka’s pictures of his past flashed to him as he spotted the little girl. If he were to carry out the mission, he would become the creature he despised. With now a clear mind, Voka angrily refused and demanded to resign from the clan. Disappointed with young rodian’s judgement, the clan accepted Voka’s resignation in exchange for the same treatment they gave his father.

Voka returned to his apartment with the same scar that his father received. The moment he came in, tears fell from his eyes as he met with his father and mother after the 3 years away. His parents did not scold at him but warmly accepted Voka’s million apologies. Voka continued his basic schooling for 2 years but it was now impossible for Voka to obtain loans and get accepted to any academy outside of Rodia due to his 3 years away from school. Voka instead focused on what he learned of the underworld of crime and became an officer of authority for his city. One day, Domo offered Voka the privilege of teaching him how to fight with the vibro blade. Though surprised, Voka willing accepted and learned how to properly fight with his vibro blade backhanded. Domo knew that Voka couldn’t follow the path of an intellectual and had accepted that Voka was meant for the path of a warrior, he wished for son to use the strength of a warrior for good.

Voka continued his life of authority for the next 6 years of his life. He made friends with the other officers, continued honing his knife skills, and practiced his aim at the shooting range and hunting. During the time period, he dealt with many cases to which he felt he lacked any control. One day, Voka was out patrolling the city on his speeder until a distress signal was sent out to his comm and other guards of the city. The distress was for an emergency call that reported possible robbers inside a hut south of Equator City. Voka called-in to voluntarily investigate. As he arrived near the hut, he noticed the front door of the hut open with signs of forced entry on the door frame. Voka pulled out his pistol and carefully approached inside the hutt with his pistol guiding him. He carefully turned to the main room from the hallway only to witness a pile of dead human bodies and a masked figure standing over them.

Then it hit Voka, the bodies were that of the target photos that Voka was assigned to kill back in his days of being part of the Bomu clan. He then laid his eyes on the human girl’s body, certainly matured from before but now lifeless body. The masked figure then turned in surprise to get a look at Voka then made a run for it by diving through the window hole. With no thought other than newly found rage, Voka chased after the figure, pulled out and triggered his vibro knife, and leapt onto the masked man from behind to deliver a death blow behind the spine. Voka unmasked the body only to discover a rodian with a Bomu clan tag on his left cheek. Luckily, the hut was far off from any neighboring civilians yet Voka knew that the Bomu clan would find out that he was responsible for their dead comrade if he lurked around any longer.

To keep himself and his family safe, Voka had to leave Rodia. He was bound to get found out by the Bomu clan leaders and have a hit placed on his head if he stayed on the planet for any longer. Voka quit his job of authority and gathered as much gear as he could. Luckily, he had a toydarian trader friend he met a couple of years ago named Zappa who can help get him off the planet They went way back that even Zappa even offered Voka a huge discount on a imported Corellian speeder bike. Voka was to board Zappa’s freighter ship that was bound to arrive on a planet soon for refueling. Voka was to now live up to Domo’s dream of his son exploring the rest of the galaxy but not exactly in the way Domo intended.

Voka took upon the enlisting and training of the BHG after hearing it upon one of the crewmembers of the freighter. He arrived in Correllia to board the Jericho ship and waited in anticipation for the training, little did he know how tough the training was. Voka was nastily greeted by the brutish warrior, Ares, and followed Ares as a peer. His first obstacle was an ambush of droids in a dark corridor though Voka luckily survived the dreaded ordeal thanks to the aid of his innate infared vision. The second obstacle pit him against the mighty Ares in a forced melee brawl, the results were obvious as Ares made quick work out of Voka yet taught Voka the lesson of when its best to withdraw. The third obstacle involved the young Rodian in a deadly maze against vile beasts found throughout the galaxy. Little detail is known for what happened but Voka managed to survive to become one of the members of the BHG.

For the rest of the 20 years, Voka took part in various bounty missions. Most of which were petty tax evasion bountys due to his young age yet there were occasional theft and murder bounties tasked upon him. Some missions did alter his conscious of killing, many dangerous bounties retaliated and needed to be put down. It became easier to take a life than hold back from it. His friendly personality underneath still remained intact yet hardened due to the BHG members. Many missions earned Voka valuable credits that allowed him to upgrade much of his arsenal and gear.
