Manaan l Death Enabled

The Sith Order represented the ever-changing evolutionary path that all things took. The most ambitious of the Order grew in power when strength met intellect and cunning. This was true of Sith Master Vossari Khaldun. An individual they were coming to deeply respect.

It was that respect that had been the reason Iymril had agreed to leave their classroom and laboratory to aid in the Sith Master’s agenda. He needed someone to help ensure an election, he needed someone cunning and amoral enough to do what needed to be done. And so Iymril had come to Manaan with his right hand, Zira in tow.

They expected another representative of the Order to arrive at some point. But for now, Iymril would meet with the emissary for the Order of Shasa. A cult that was aligned with Master Khaldun and had their loyalties up for grabs of this election went their way. Iymril had come wearing a light purple dress shirt, a pair of charcoal dress pants, and black dress shoes. They had their hair free falling and lightly curled. Their lips were painted with a neutral tone and their nails were given a protective clear coat of polish.

Their crimson gaze fell to Zira as they left their vessel. They hid their true intentions behind the simple inspection of her outfit. In reality, their desire for her had been mounting, especially with her sleeping next to them or in their arms.

I’ve slept better with you by my side.” They told her, their voice lacking any emotion.

Iymril had allowed themself to be more open with Zira. Since finishing off Ayyr, they were less hesitant about that transparency. After all, they’d killed the woman’s they loved, what could possibly protect Zira if they decided to give her the same fate?

Chasdrym was strolling through the news in his EZPhone, while he waited for the arrival of Champion Iymdril. The two were going to work together to bring the loyalty of a cult named Order of Shasa to the Sith, but the Acolyte had ended up arriving before the older Sephi on purpose.

With free time, he was allowed to explore the city and investigate how the election was going. Now the young man could give an extensive report of these events for the Champion upon his arrival. This information could be compared with the one that the Shasa would give to them. It would be good to know if they were being sincere.

After all, their loyalties weren’t with the Sith yet. Who knows if they weren’t plotting a betrayal.

When Iymril’s ship landed, Chasdrym put his EZPhone in the pocket of his pants and approached the ramp. Soon, he saw the Champion walking down the ramp while being followed by a female Tiefling. He didn’t show any emotion with the scene, with his face remained neutral even when he presented himself to them.

Excuse me, Champion Auvryt’tar, I’m Acolyte Chasdrym Tlin’yth. I was appointed to serve you in this mission.” the young Sephi made a deep bowl in front of Iymril, showing his total respect to the superior authority that they possessed. Then, he turned his attention to the Tiefling, his face lacking emotions.

The Acolyte had no idea who she was, but if that Tiefling was working with Iymril, she would have his respect. “Ma’am.” he made a slight bow with his head, before turning back to Iymril. He would wait for their permission to talk, then proceed to give the information that he had gathered.

Zira couldn’t deny that she was actually excited at the prospect of going to a new planet. She had never seen the ocean before and was thrilled. Although she had imagined much different circumstances where she could try a vacation on the beach, this was the next best thing. Besides, something like simply lounging around without a worry in the galaxy sounded unthinkable to her.

As they stepped off the ramp, she was surprised at Iymril’s words. Sleeping next to the Sephi had become such a routine that Zira didn’t realize it had begun to be comfortable for her. The thought was unsettling, but it was better than the life she led before where she constantly had to physically service her prior Masters. This way she could train and hide all the bruises and cuts without Iymril ever knowing. There were nights where she winced and bit through the pain when the Sephi wanted to hold her tight, but it was worth the struggle for them to never find out.

“I have as well, my lord,” Zira answered truthfully. She gazed out at the stretch of blue ahead of them, “I have never seen the ocean before..” She blurted out. It was one of those silly things that Iymril wouldn’t care to hear, but she couldn’t help but express it at seeing something so vast.

They were soon joined by another Sephi and Zira had to keep from sighing. As if one individual with muted expressions and emotions wasn’t bad enough, now she had to deal with two. With luck, this acolyte would be just as pretentious as Iymril and the two could keep one another company. Zira liked being a wallflower.

Zira said nothing in response, letting Iymril correct the acolyte. She was no ‘m’am’ and certainly not worthy of a bow. However, it wasn’t her place to introduce herself, so she simply gave a faint nod.

It would not be only two Sephi on this mission, but three.

Ahriman had been assigned to assist Champion Iymril in rigging some sort of election. It seemed, when she was given the assignment, that this was something like a last-minute change of plan. Whether the previous acolyte assigned to this had to back out for some reason or she was just being added for whatever reason, she didn't know.

The Sephi acolyte strolled onto and joined the group at the meeting point almost precisely on time. To her credit, she was dressed quite a bit nicer than the usual sweats and sweatshirts she wore about to training and such. The outfit consisted of nice pants and a nice, long-sleeved top — both black — but with her usual boots. Her hair was pulled back, and she'd washed her face. It was about the best anyone would get out of her without directly requiring more.

« Three Sephi? How wonderful. I can't wait to see how invigorating these conversations will be. »

Ahriman came to a stop before the three already present and ignored Daeva's sarcastic comment. She greeted Iymril first — "Champion Iymril." — then offered the other two a slight nod of acknowledgment. She didn't know their names, but based on body language alone, she assumed they were all here to aid the androgynous Sephi.

Three Sephi? Was this a fucking prank? Iymril’s ears flicked with slight irritation. They immediately understood that they’d have to force emotion to ensure the mission went without issue. Iymril’s eye glanced to Zira as she said that she had slept better next to them as well. The. She brought up that she’d never seen the ocean, that caused their ears to calm.

Iymril didn’t reply to her but it did give them an idea. But for now, Iym’s focus returned to the two Sephi before them. One they already knew, Acolyte Ahriman. The other? Iymril hadn’t the slightest clue who he was.

Acolytes Ahriman, Tlin’yth.” Iymril replied cooly. “This is Zira, she is my right hand and an agent of my will.” They introduced her to the two Sephi. “You will give her every respect and courtesy you extend to me.” Iym continued. “Understood?

The Sephi glanced down to the chrono on their arm, their ears pinned themself back. They weren’t late but they weren’t early. That annoyed them. They briefly looked over each of the acolyte, appraising their appearance as they developed a plan.

We will walk and talk.” Iymril gestured for the group to follow them. “Zira, you will pick an Acolyte to take with you.” They told their slave. “You will find a way to blackmail our political rivals.” Iymril told her. “Find something that I can use or fabricate it, but don’t fail me in this.

I will take the other Acolyte to meet with the Order of Shasa and evaluate their strategies.” Iymril continued. “We will utilize the Dark Side to its fullest to ensure this world fall beneath our sway.

The rest of the trip, Iymril would fall into perfect stoic silence. Their mind churned as they developed solutions to countless hypothetical situations. There came point where Zira and her selected Acolyte would break off to begin their task. Iymril would continue forward into the Order of Shasa’s political building.

Iymril Auvryt'tar, my associate and I have an appointment.

Ah yes, right this way.” The Selkath woman replied, placing a button under the counter to buzz the pair of Sephi in.

And so it had begun.

What?

Zira had expected to be nothing but a glorified ornament following her master around. Not only did Iymril validate her as an actual participant, but they put the choice on her to pick an acolyte? The distress and discomfort was clear on her face, but she quickly recovered. Zira pointed to the female Sephi.

As they split up, the tiefling was left standing around awkwardly. Was she supposed to actually come up with a plan? What would her master do if she failed? Zira chewed on her lip, glancing over at.. Ahriman was her name, right? She had seen billboards of the charismatic, human male that was running for the election.

“I could..always seduce him and you capture the evidence to ruin his reputation,” Zira suggested. She had no skills outside of using her body and appearance to pull cons. Unless the Sephi woman had other suggestions, Zira would keep speaking, “You can use the Force to get us into a lounge with that man?” She suggested.

Three Sephi. Chasdrym wondered who had the bright idea of putting the three of them together on a mission. Probably an Annfyn, without doubt. Only those brainless emotional vermin could think in such a twisted prank where they would be forced to fake emotions to please the politicians and cult members. At least they had the Tiefling that could do it in their place.

Nonetheless, the three were there and they had work to do.

The other Acolyte, Ahriman, presented herself and Chasdrym simply nodded back to her. “Yes, sir.” the Sephi said, when Iymril presented the Tiefling. He looked briefly at her, no emotions on his face. The young man concluded that Lady Zira was some type of secretary or personal assistant. She was also pleasant to the eyes.

After Zira decided to take Ahriman with her, Chasdrym was left to work with Iymril. He followed them to the building where the Order of Shasa had their meetings. The Acolyte considered himself properly dressed for this appointment, wearing nice clothes such a black button up shirt, dress pants and loafers. Ten different rings were distributed on his fingers, gifts from his mother. He always carried them during missions.

You never know when you could use what was inside of them.

He remained in silence and with a stoic expression while walking next to Iymril and stayed this way when they entered the building. Chasdrym would only talk when the older Sephi ordered.

Every respect and courtesy she afforded them? Ahirman glanced over at Zira with unexpressive, apathetic eyes and gave her a nod. Sure, whatever. Even if she wanted to, it wasn't like she could argue it anyway.

Iymril and Chasdrym left, and Zira posed her suggestion and her question.

"Yeah, probably," she answered as she pulled her EZPhone out from her pocket to check the battery. 73%. It'd be no good to try and record anything if her phone would be dead by the time it came to it.

But how exactly would Zira go about seducing a man she'd never met? And would he even be open to her advances? "I suppose as long as it looks incriminating, that's all we will need to capture." It seemed like the Sephi would just need to trust the tiefling on the matter.

"Shall we go?" First things first, they'd have to find out where this man was and what that meant for Ahriman in needing to get the two of them through to him.

Iymril ignored the Sephi Acolyte that walked a whisper behind them. Their mind was focused on what lay beyond the door they’d been buzzed through. A thousand images flashed through their mind, endless possibilities. However, what they didn’t expect was a chute falling straight into the blackness of the ocean below.

A Selkath woman ushered them towards the transparisteel encased drop and then waved a hand to bring them to a stop. She lifted her palms towards the ceiling and several bubbles rushed towards the surface of the water. They steadily piled up until a a single massive bubble was formed. She then gestured for the two Sephi to step inside.

Iymril did so without hesitation.

Once Tlin’yth had followed them in, a rapid descent would begin. The bubble would rush down the shaft and into the darkness beyond. Iymril picked out tiny lights in the depths beyond. The shadows of massive predatory fish blotted them out.

The Abyssal Tide.” Iymril muttered to themself.

As the bubble began to slow, Iym recognized their ride was coming to a close. They glanced to the Acolyte. Their eyes held no passion and no warmth in them.

Remain respectful or we might never get out of here alive.

When Iymril stepped from the bubble it was into a completely enclosed and pressured ship wreckage. A meeting place that perfectly encapsulated the beliefs of the cult. The two Sephi were guided inside the interior of the ship. Within there were several Selkath waiting for them. Iymril gave a dip of their head to each of them.

Gentlemen and ladies, I am Iymril and I am here to win you an election.” They stated calmly, their ears perked. “Even now colleagues are working to undermine the integrity of your political rivals.” Iym told them. “Soon we will have what we need to secure your positions and control over this world.

And how do you intend to do that?” One croaked in reply.

A thin smirk tugged at their lips. “The how doesn’t matter, only that we will.

Chasdrym remained in silence, even when the shuttle descended toward the abyssal part of the ocean. He stared at the growing darkness with a neutral expression, silently wondering what they would do if the Selkath decided to betray them down there. It would be nearly impossible to escape and not even his poisons would be enough to help them.

When they reached half-way the path that would bring them to the literal bottom of the ocean, a Selkath woman was waiting to signal that they should proceed. This time inside some type of bubble, a very peculiar way of traveling in the Acolyte’s opinion. He saw some large predatory fishes swimming outside, but his face showed no signal of fear. However, there was a bit of concern in his interior regarding the integrity of their transport.

Chasdrym followed Iymril dutifully, remaining in silence even after they arrived at their destination. “Yes, Champion.” the Acolyte said, while the two stepped out of the bubble. He looked around, studying the ship wreckage that was going to be their meeting place. There were already several Selkaths inside it and given the position in the ocean floor, it would be nearly impossible for the two to escape if the situation became bad.

Following Iymril’s orders, Chasdrym stayed next to them, bowing to the Selkath when the Champion started to talk. He would stay quiet, simply watching the scene and studying the members of the cult. The purple-skinned man would remain quiet until the older Sephi ordered him to speak.

Tracking down a man that was splashed across billboards and local media wasn’t too difficult. It wasn’t long before the two were able to pinpoint a location to a fancy restaurant. The problem was that the candidate was at said restaurant with his husband. While Zira wasn’t the type to make assumptions about sexual orientation and preferences, something told her that the seduction route wouldn’t go over well.

She sighed and looked at Ahriman, now effectively back to square one, “I had the last idea, now it’s your turn,” Zira said with a shrug.

Social media was abuzz about this candidate wanting to open a casino in an area that had people living there below the poverty line. Rumor had it that he planned on evicting most of these people from their homes to build the casino. If more scandalous deals or suspicious activities could be dug up, perhaps it would be enough to discredit him as a candidate. However, Zira was not well equipped to know how to do any of that, so for now she quietly observed the man through the glass happily laughing away with his husband.

Dice roll: 2/20 for seduction

Well, there went that idea. Ahriman stared blankly at the man and his husband for a few moments, until her ear twitched once and she turned away. Daeva made a very helpful suggestion to simply kill the man. There couldn't be an election if there was a terrible accident, now could there be?

Ahriman didn't know much about politics. She didn't really care much for them, but she was pretty sure that any idea Daeva presented was not for the best interest of whatever they wanted to achieve, but rather entertainment for himself.

"My turn," the Sephi repeated, her monotone voice giving her a very unenthusiastic tone. Though Ahriman wasn't very active on social media, she glanced at trending topics on Switter and scrolled through a couple of the more passionate tweets before she'd arrived. "Perhaps we could rile up the people he's planning to oust with his casino business. They might end up doing most of our work for us."

Especially in the modern day of social media, she was sure someone would raise the alarm if there was anything worse he might be up to. "You're a people-person, right?" she asked, glancing over at the cool-toned tiefling woman. It would only make sense if she was, considering her willingness to jump straight to seducing the man. "Maybe you could spread some false rumors or something while I try to look into the casino development plans?"

She phrased it as a question seeing as she was supposed to treat this woman with the same respect and courtesy as she treated Iymril. In her eyes, that meant Zira was essentially in charge here. It was entirely fine by her — she didn't really care — but she didn't want to get slapped upside the head or something for making an absolute statement if Zira was that sort of person.

Iymril's eyes flicked from Selkath to Selkath as they drank in the room around them. They trusted that even now, Zira and Ahriman were gathering damning intelligence on their political opponent. However, in the meantime, they had to advise their newest allies. Iymril didn't intend on suggesting an honest campaign. Instead, they laid out the ground plans for a sorcerous ritual that would increase the suggestive prowess of the cult's candidates.

The ritual itself would lace each of their words with the influence and power of the Dark Side. Something that should be especially effective as the crowds listened intently to the final debates. In theory, when this was combined with whatever blackmail could be scrounged up by the other two, it would be enough to ensure a political victory. Iymril would hand this world over to Master Khaldun on a silver platter, they would gain the favor of a Sith Master.

"I know of a ritual." Iymril began. "One that will take the entire cult to aid us in." They continued. "However, if successful Manaan will be yours without question." Iym's ears flicked with expectation.

Their ruby eyes would fall to the Acolyte.

"You will aid me in the ceremony." They instructed. "Follow these exact instructions."

With that Iymril would begin to lay out the requirements for the ritual to work. From the runes that had to be carved to the incense that had to be burned to the incantations that had to be chanted perfectly. Nothing could be out of order. Nothing could be messed up on. It had to be exact.

Chasdrym remained in silence next to Iymril, but he noticed how the Professor was looking around the room, studying the Selkaths. He easily recognized it because he had been doing it since they had arrived. If he had to bet, the Acolyte would say that the older Sephi was evaluating the capabilities of their possible allies, seeking to see if they would be capable of winning this election by themselves.

Apparently, Iymril decided that the Cult needed some help, because he offered a ritual to help. Now Chasdrym was curious to know how it worked.

Yes, Champion.” Chasdrym said with his neutral voice, before following Iymril instructions. Meanwhile, the Selkath started to talk with each other, wondering if the two Sith would be really capable of making the electors favorable to them. These people needed to learn that the Dark Side could do many things.

The young Sephi would follow Iymril instructions, mimicking every step that the Champion did, while also memorizing them for his own use in the future. Once everything was done, he would wait for the other Sith to properly start the ritual.
