Cats actually DO have a decent sense of smell. But at the same time.... he's managing to pick out some scents buried deep underground. Albeit with aid of the Force. It still makes me go "Really mate?"

Canon never states Cathar have more advanced sense of smell or hearing. This seems intentional as it is specifically listed with species that do have these traits. If I'm mistaken please prove me wrong, but I'd remove the rather convenient IC references to a advanced and well developed sense of smell.
