(Here is the OOC thread)

The Jedi knight Jaleer Reukli was given a mission, one of which the sage was going to make sure is success, he was given three Jedi to join him in his task, two of them he knew one was another Jedi padawan which in all honestly just makes things a little easier with two knights and two padawans, the Jedi should be safe with these numbers. In the Jedi consul star yacht with four Jedi working together to keep the ship running smoothly and his friendly droid T7-97 though the little droid can make some really bad jokes.

Smiling the group landed in the forest of Ossus, with the droid sadly going to have to stay here since the forest floor would make it hard for the small droid. Looking around he smiled at Adun, his old padawan now a father and a knight, his smile was full of pride. His eyes slide over to Tamara, the daughter of his old padawan, this would be the first time she would be working with her dad, Jaleer thought. Thinking of the time Adun was the young one, he felt happy for helping the next generation, speaking of which their fourth comrade was Rhonan and Jaleer hasn't heard much about him.

Yet he was a young man and no doubt in Jaleer's mind would become a great Jedi someday.

"We are landing now guys, I will be leading out little charge, Adun will be next to me while you two stay behind; and grab some blasters, to take with you, better to take down some wild beast from afar rather than when they are right in front of you. Me and Adun are here to keep you guys safe so if you feel like you can't handle anything just come back to the ship. We are here to scout out a base for the Jedi, so lets not get distracted." Smiling the Jedi stood up grabbing his blaster pistol, setting it to stun mode.

"An listen stick together, we are strongest when united now stick close to us."
Hopefully some of this advice will sink into theses kids heads.

Space travel was never something Rhonan had been overly fond of. The sterile bulkheads and the coppery smell of recycled oxygen made the Cathar feel like packaged field rations. Situating himself in one of the yacht's central rooms, keeping himself away from the windows, the Padawan worked tirelessly at his lightsaber. It was a humble thing – durasteel frame, polished and powder coated and perfectly sized and weighted for his large hands. Rhonan's severe brow was furrowed in concentration as he sat in meditation, veins rising against his skin at the temples as the lightsaber's hilt slowly assembled itself, suspended in air. Clicking sharply as the final places snapped and locked into place, the hilt lowered shakily into Rhonan's hand. Releasing a long breath, Rhonan opened his eyes.

Breath caught in the young Cathar's chest as the ship shuddered through the atmosphere of Ossus, his jaw set tightly and his hands clenched around the reassuring heft of his lightsaber. Forcing himself to breath once more, Rhonan stood and turned to follow the others. Having spent much of his time solely with his Master and his particularly severe training methods, Rhonan knew little of the other Jedi that he traveled with, but that drove him to prove himself. To make something of the life the Jedi gave back to him. Clipping his saber to his belt, Rhonan helped himself to a blaster. Familiarizing himself with the weight and sights, Rhonan snapped the blaster's holster onto his right hip and descended the loading ramp.

Beneath the clouded mantle of Ossus' atmosphere, Rhonan beheld a wild world, primal and powerful. The Cathar's fur-tufted ears twitched and his nostrils flared, eyes sweeping the sprawling wilderness around him as his hands tightened on the blaster. Settling into a crouch by the yacht's ramp, Rhonan's enhanced senses were stretched to their limit, bolstered by an effort of will through the Force, opening himself to the great power of the universe and letting it rush through him.

The humming of the hyperdrive as it powered down was a sound Adun always treasured. Ever since he lost the use of his right eye he had began to depeand on the force more and more. This force sight he now had opened his eyes to an entirely new world. At first the new sensations terrified him, as his human sight clashed with the force sight into a barrage of fantastic shapes and colors.

After some time practicing it, he found a way to focus it and enhance his sight. He looked over at his old master and smiled faintly. It had been some time since they had gone on a mission together, but it was good to know that he wouls be going into danger with someone he trusted. His thoughts turned to that of his daughter, as he easily felt her presense near him. Tamara had without a doubt taken after him, and he had taught her his healing techniques when he could. He was proud of both of his children, but he knew that his son still held a greivence with him. He would be have to hope that time would ease his son's frustrations.

He looked ahead as the planet came into view as he turned his thoughts to the mission. He was a little rusty in terms of taking on missions, he had spent many of his years away from the order after all, but his skills were as sharp as ever. Between him and Jaleer and the abilities he knew his daughter had, he was sure they would overcome anything in their way. Still, he was curious of the Cathar padawan who also was joining them. Still, he was sure that the padawan was well qualified to join them. As the shuttle began to settle down and hearing Jaleers words he put in his own input.

"Well said master, we should keep our minds focused here on the present."

He put his hand on his saber hilt and gripped it tightly. He was curious what the opposition would throw at them, but he trusted in his new found mastery of the force to prevail.

Tamara sat in her own room the entire trip, listening to music while lying down on her bunk. She never bothered to learn the other padawan's name or even remember where they were going. Most of the missions she went on with her master were mediocre, and she assumed today was going to be the same, and thus she played it no mind. This was also her first mission with her father and would be more than willing to prove what a great she was becoming, and probably show off to Rhonan.

Her song had just finished playing until she heard and felt the ship touch down on the planet's surface. She put away her headphones, got up and opened the door. She stuck her head out and looked through the hallways,"Are we here!?" She could see the cockpit from her room and through the virwport she could see the forest that they landed in. She quickly rushed to her bedside table and grabbed her lightsaber and attached it to her belt. After bearing she needed a blaster, Tamara frowned. She hated such weapons. She had never killed a person and hoped she would never have too. And the fact that a padawan needed a blaster meant that what they were getting into was going to be to dangerous for her.

She left her room and grabbed a shortish blaster rifle with scope and some battery clips. She was given only one quick crash course on how to use it. But luckily it was enough, she was a Jedi. She needs only the Force to help her. She walked down the now opened boarding ramp and walked down to take in the fresh air of the planet they just landed on.

(OOC: alright so we have the posting order @StormWolf than @Algarus and lastly @Tristyn anyone else that joins we will chance the order according)

Jaleer could feel Rhonan's uneasiness from staying inside the ship, and was glad to see he will be free from it now that he was planet side. Though he wished Tamara was up in the cockpit with them, he wanted to see the daughter of his old padawan. An when she finally out of her room he smiled at her, hopefully to show her something cool. Hoping to be more like a godfather as he was never really there when they were younger though he was her parents old master.

Thought the sage did hope slightly to embarrass his old padawan, but with his age he doubt that would happens. Jaleer reminded himself that he wasn't that old yet, just no longer in his youth, which brought a smile to his lips, imagining how he can soon boss around the younger folks with the accused of I'm old. Looking at his old padawan he was glad to see him ready though only time will tell if Adun lost any of his old touch.

Getting off the ship seconded behind Rhonan the sage smiled at the young padawans eagerness remembering when he was that energetic to get off the ship and move.

"Alright everyone we might run into anything in these woods. But I doubt it will cause us any troubles, now let's get moving. There is a lot of forest and we need to find some place clear that we can use for a base for the Jedi." Jaleer spoke hoping to get them eager about the adventure of searching the woods, and potentially running into some wild animals or even raiders.

Though the true excitement for Jaleer was feeling the calming sensation around him. Almost like the forest was at peace right now, it gave the sage a good feeling about this. Though he always remembered to open himself to the force just in case of anything.

"Remeber focus on the here and now, and once this is done I will treat you guys to some food." Jaleer said, having a feeling that things will go well, but he has been wrong before wouldn't be surprised if he was wrong this time.

Perched where he was under the shadow of the yacht's wing, Rhonan had taken to testing the soil with his claws, taking a handful and sifting it idly. Rhonan pressed his snout to the handful of dirt, breathing deep. It was rich and peaty, a testament to the towering trees and thick shrubs around them. More importantly, the Cathar had a baseline for his senses. Each world had a different bouquet, and a novice hunter would find themselves caught unawares more often than not if they didn't familiarize themselves with the raw soil. Upon hearing the others disembark from the yacht, Rhonan wiped his hand clean on the knee of his trousers and righted himself.

The blaster Rhonan had chosen was a humble carbine with a short barrel and robust stock. He had a layman's grasp of blasters, but the heft of the weapon lent an idea to it's punch. Falling in closely behind Tamara, Rhonan took up the position of rear guard. Keeping his fellow Padawan's flank covered from attack should there be a need for her to use that long rifle of hers. Each time a creature skittered through the lush underbrush, Rhonan's ears swiveled and twitched, finger drumming softly on the checkered grip. Every nerve in Rhonan's body felt vitalized as he trekked beneath the shadows of the forests mighty boughs, the rumbling wellspring of the Force that permeated the glen rushed through and around the Cathar like glacial runoff.

"Master Reukli, Master Umari... Wouldn't the cover of the forest better serve to hide an outpost from prying eyes? Best to avoid the full attention of the enemy until the Jedi can occupy with a standing force, aye?" Rhonan called up the line, trying to keep his voice low. He'd not be the fool whose blundering brought a rampaging tusk cat down upon their heads.

As Adun walked down the ship, he took a glance behind him to ensure his daughter had her equipment. Seeing that it was so, he kicked himself mentally. He had to block her parental insticts and focus on the matter at hand. Seeing the lush forests brought a smile to knights face, as it wasnt very often he got to be out in nature. Hereing padawan Rhonan ask his question, Adun took a moment to respond. "While the cover of the trees would be beneficial, it would also take some time and resources to clear the area and allow for proper construction. Not to mention that there are a numerous other factors to take into consideration. But you are correct, we need this outpost to be as discret as possible." This was going to take some getting used to being called master, it had been some time since he had been refered to by that title. Adun's eyes lingered on the nearby trees and bushes as the group went on. He had a feeling that this wasnt going to be just some blue milk run.

While they were walking, Tamara thought she might be able to join the conversation by giving her rather smart-assy input,"Actually.....trying to build a base here in the forest by removing the surrounding trees is kinda redundant. It can still be seen from overhead pretty easily. Also building it here just makes it harder for us to access, not just our enemies....plus who needs visual contact anymore? Scanners will pick up everything nowadays"

(OOC: Sorry for the long wait was busy this weekend with RL stuff)

Jaleer was glad to see everyone giving their opinion but they seemed to forget that they were just to scout the area not actually plan the construction, for now all they needed to do was scout the area out, make sure there is no enemies. An they should be good, after taking a few notes of course which, Jaleer will make one of the padawans do, smiling to himself thinking of the many times he has been told that he is a little immature to be a Jedi knight.

"For now people lets just look around and see what we can find, of course since we are staying together it will take a little longer but safety comes first. This applies to everything remember that, if you know it isn't safe or you don't have anything with you to keep you safe."
Jaleer laughed a little bit hoping that they would get the slightly hidden joke, most likely Adun would, Jaleer just hope they understood it to be a simple joke some people can be so bothersome an getting offended with his jokes.

They would start walking straight forward, the ship to their back, as Jaleer lead the small group though the woods, with many large animals watching them seeing if there was any weakness within the group. The sage knew they were there but didnt want to do anything, seeing it would be rude just to go and attack some animals simply because they could be a threat later, for now Jaleer was keeping a eye out, heading towards a valley that he notice while flying hopefully to find something that could be used to make a good base.

Ryu had been on the planet’s surface for a while now; he couldn’t go back to Korriban yet, not after the debacle on his latest mission. This meant that he wouldn’t be able to get normal medical care. Using what he had learned growing up he had entered the jungles of Ossus, seeking out the tribe leaders in the hopes of obtaining some herbal remedies away from republic space.

He was a warrior, someone who should be fighting and killing. Not talking and discussing, that line of work was for politicians, diplomats and Jedi. That’s what he wanted to get back to doing.

The terrain was not the most enjoyable to move around on. It made you slightly slower than you would usually be, slightly more cautious too. Ryu was more than aware that out here in the wild, he was not top of the food chain. Aside for many tribes there were plenty of predators that were built to hunt in these forests and even in his armour, he would have a real fight on his hands to survive. Never the less his training in youth had prepared him well to navigate jungles and other harsh climates so he had no problem finding his way around.

Suddenly the area around him went dark and the sound of powerful engines could be heard passing over head. The hell is that doing out in the middle of nowhere he thought to himself. Other than a few tribes, there was nothing of use in these parts; it was for all intents and purposes just a large forest. It was flying low and it could only mean it was getting ready to land, which gave Ryu the perfect chance to go and discover what it was.

Breaking into a Jog he moved back to his ship, he would gather some equipment from it before making his way to inspect the subject of his interest.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had only been a short jog to his ship, and seeing as he couldn’t know exactly where the point of interest was, he was going to have to do a fly over. If he got enough height, he wouldn’t be seen by those on the ground but even high up in the air, you’re not going to miss a bright yellowish gold ship the size of a small football pitch.

He was baffled by the fact people were out here, especially in a ship that large and his mind drifted to the cargo that they may have been carrying. It wasn’t uncommon for groups of pirates or other crime syndicates to travel to these secluded locations and burry weapons tech and other valuables. If he was lucky he would get a big jackpot here and bring it back to Korriban and save face after his failure

His ship powered up and he soared upwards, making sure to initially keep low to the treeline and head in the opposite direction that the other ship went. This meant he would not be seen on his assent and could fly about up there without worry. He was more than far enough away from the ship to not be heard during this time.

He began visually scanning the area once he was at a sufficient height. Finding the ship would still take a bit of time, but he had no choice he needed to know.

Sniffing sharply in distaste, Rhonan curled his tongue and spat into the dense forest underbrush. There were plenty examples of people who build fortifications in or among the trees. Rhonan's own people were one such example, and he had read in the archives that plenty of smugglers and used forest moons or ion-dense atmosphere worlds to mask their caches or safe-houses from prying eyes. Harrumphing sharply to himself, Rhonan shrugged his shoulders and leered at some passing cleft-hooved creature. It paused and looked right back at Rhonan, who bared his fangs and hissed. Scampering its feet, the herbivore flashed a bushy white tail and darted into the thicket.

"If that's the case, Tamara, then how is smuggling still so rampant across the galaxy? I'm sure if some ramshackle pirates and bootleggers can skirt by undetected, the Jedi with their resources can do it too, aye?" Rhonan fought back his urge to sneer, but only barely. Casting a glance over his shoulder, Rhonan surveyed the forest behind them. Despite the time of day, the towering trees cast dark shadows, leaving only scattered shafts of sunlight to pierce through the canopy.

"Though if someone has a better solution, I'm all ears," Rhonan muttered, his fur-tufted ears flickering as if for emphasis.

Adun's brow furrowed in slight annoyance at the tone Rhonan had taken with his daughter, but Adun quickly put it aside.

"While I do appreciate the insight you both are providing, I believe Master Jaleer is correct. We need to focus on the objective and not the thoughts of constructing a base. The force will guide us to the proper sight, of that I have no doubt."

Adun scanned his surroundings as the force showed him the life that enveloped everywhere within it. He tightened his hold on the sword grip of his saber as he removed it from his belt. He recalled from earlier missions that they often were attacked not to long after they arrived. Still, he kept himself calm and reserved as they continued their march. He hoped his daughter had remembered to focus on the technique he had taught her, but a little reminder wouldn't hurt.

"Tamara, don't forget to use your senses. They can help you see what others typically can not. You as well Rhonan, with this environment it can be difficult to see danger lurking in the undergrowth, but the force can help you see through this."

"Yeah, yeah I know dad"

Tamara ignored her father and turned her attention back to Rhonan, wanting more to win her argument than focus on her surroundings,"Well the reason why smugglers are such a problem is because the Republic is not going to scan every single planet they come across just because they might come across some small band of smugglers or other nobodys. The navy would much rather fight wars and whatnot than go scampering around the moons and planets of isolated systems"

She stopped talking to look around the forest,` still being able to sense nearly every creature with in a mile radius.

Jaleer couldn't believe this he was already getting flash backs to when he was a master, and right now it felt like that, two padawans arguing. Really it was unbecoming for them, anything could happen and even if Jaleer was lay back he knows never to start arguing with a partner when they could be attack by anything at any time. The sage took one moment to compose himself before looking at the padawans it seemed like they have stopped but he needed to make sure they know what could be at stake here.

"Listen you two, no time for this kind of fooling around, I mean really Tamara, you know what happens when two padawans fool around don't you?" Jaleer knew it might have been a while but he remembers when Adun and Rayla were young oh boy was that hard but it was funny to hear about what happened between them.

"Now lets focus on just scouting the area, alright?" Jaleer said continuing to walk around the forest floor, opening himself up to the force allowing it to guide his ever step leading him like a father would lead a child for the first time figuring out how to walk.

Taking several steps, the forest remained thick, where they were going was unknown but the force was in control something the sage was fine with, looking at Adun, he hoped that he was just being silly, it was very unlikely anything would attack them. Without much to do Jaleer kept on walking hoping to eventually scout out the area find several places that would be good for a base and head out without any trouble.

His ship was now high in the sky and while the engines were slightly louder than that of other ships in its class there was no way that he would be heard at this height. Certainly not over the ambient sounds of the jungle anyway. Nevertheless he would have to be careful when coming down to land, especially now that he had found the ship he had been visually scanning for.

As much as he wanted to use his scanners to check for life he knew two things; firstly that it would open him up for being discovered and second the forests would be so teeming with life that he would receive endless amounts of feedback from the system, picking up the plethora of living creatures on the forest floor. He rested easier though knowing that they couldn't discover him though.

He had a number of options in regards of places to land, however one thing for sure is that if it was going to be a large group of them he would need to conserve energy and land in the place that posed the least work in getting to his destination. With a valley to the back of the ship and he did not fancy a hike. Either side of the ship there was dense thicket so he would land be best to land eight hundred meters or so from the front of the ship.

He landed shortly after making his choice, still easily out of earshot from those who owned the ship, unknown to him were traveling in the opposite direction. He grabbed some kit including a hefty amount of grenades, which he would certainly need now he only, had the one lightsaber. He wasn’t the biggest fan of explosives, however if he was to come up against a large force, he would be glad to have them. Placing the three thermal detonators, and two plasma grenades into a sack he slung it over his shoulder, securing his ship and locking it down before setting off in the direction of the ship

He would attempt to make good time, jogging once again and using his endurance to his advantage, no doubt those walking from the ship would be far too far away now to know anything about Ryu making his way to their ship. By the time he arrived at the ship it was likely that those walking from it would be far away and he could inspect it without interruption.

Ossus. Such a nice planet. Despite the horrible biome and the fact that it is infested with crime. It is a wonderful place to lie low for a while. And that was exactly what Rhem was doing. Almost as soon as all that nasty business on Cadinth had been dealt with. Rhem had decided to take a small vacation for himself. After all, heading back to Korriban was hardly the ideal way to get rid of some stress. And he was never the party goer so planets like Corusant were out of the question.

For a while, Rhem considered just stocking up on supplies and just staying in space for a while. It would certainly give him the peace and quiet he desired. But the lack of contact with others would be annoying and the stale recycled air of his ship would give him headaches for days. Thankfully, his mother gave him another solution.

In some remote corner of Ossus. The pirate had one of her many boltholes built. It was a small outpost. Not really meant to hold more than one or two people at a time. But it was remote, civilization was just a few hours away. And most importantly, it was fully equipped so Rhem could work on both his technology and his own training in relative peace and quiet.

That is of course unless several Jedi happened to stumble upon it. Which was rather likely. At the current route they were on, they'd be coming into its scanner range fairly soon. With the outpost itself becoming visible soon after that. And of course, since Rhem had desired privacy among all else. His Force presence was kept close to his chest. If the Jedi bothered reaching out when they got close enough they'd probably sense life. But not if there was anything special about it.

Naturally, Rhonan had to be wrong. He was the outsider here, after all. The bonds between the others around him were evident, so strong and tangible that Rhonan felt he could have plucked those strings and heard a basso thrum. Drawing his lips up in a small sneer, the Cathar chuffed and rolled his eyes at Tamara's chittering. Why did he even bother. There would be no winning for anyone down their present path, so why bother?

"As you say princess..." Rhonan muttered, shrugging his broad shoulders. At what what Jaleer had said, the Cathar scrunched his nose in distaste, though the insides of his ears bloomed with scarlet, forcing him to flatten them against his head. Clearing his throat, Rhonan set his jaw stubbornly and went back to surveying the land around them. Who were they to lecture him on the use of senses? Could they pick up the scent of a predator that had recently marked its territory without the assistance of the Force? Probably not, unless one of them was something far different than what they seemed. Rhonan was Cathar! The wilderness was his home, where he thrived, and he was being spoken to as an outsider and a fool.

Things would be different if Hlodovic was here... Rhonan thought to himself with a sharp sigh, his subconscious reminding him of the weighted claws that hung on a leather chord around Rhonan's thick neck. Unknowingly, Rhonan's already severe expression was pulled down into something of a scowl. For a few lengthy moments of trudging through the dense forest, Rhonan kept to himself, begrudgingly doing as he was bid by the Knights, and expanded his consciousness over the mantle of the Force. What Rhonan loved best about the untamed wilderness of a place was how everything was bound together, much how the three of his companions were connected. Every creature, plant, and slab of stone served a purpose in the natural balance, forming a complex, weaving pattern between it all. So, when the connection ended abruptly around a particular point, Rhonan's interest was piqued.

"Something is wrong..." he said lowly, gesturing with a hand in the direction of the blank spot of the pattern, "The beasts are avoiding something in that direction, giving it a wide berth. Something that shouldn't be. Do you feel it?"

Adun was about to let the two padawans have a lecture after they continued arguing, but stopped as he heard Rhonan's warning. He stopped in his tracks and focused on his force sight, as he focused on finding any kinds of wildlife. Just as Rhonan has said, nothing was near them. It might of been from their initial land maybe, but this far out and still nothing to be found?
"That is strange. Thank you for the warning Rhonan."
There was not even a bird to be seen, or a small animal scampering about on the ground. Nothing except the whisper trees that surrounded them.
"Padawan's be ready."
The knight turned to his master with a look of concern.
"Padawan Rhonan is right, there is no wildlife around us. All there is, is plant life."
He sighed and cut back on his force sight to reduce amount of focus he would need to use.
"Your the one with the most experience here Jaleer, I'll follow you lead."
He said with a tinge of caution. He hadn't been out in the field in some time and didn't trust his decision making abilities at this moment; especially with his daughter with him. It would take him some time to get back into the swing of things.

Tamara stopped walking, crossed her arms and stared wrathfully at Jaleer. She felt greatly insulted about what he said and was surprised to see that her father just ignored it, considering he was the one indirectly but obviously mentioned by him. She ignored her father a second time to pursue an argument, this time with master Reukli.

"Master, for someone who is supposedly a wise old Jedi master, you sure seem to be acting childish and insensitive! I'm so glad you're not my master! you bastard!" Tamara shouted out at him, unmasking her now out of control anger and emotions.

She is a loose cannon, just like her mother, and unlike her father. What a foolish idiot, no wonder mom hates him.
She began to walk again, regardless of how the others might be looking at her.

(OOC: Sorry for the long wait.)

Jaleer really wasn't happy that the padawan's were acting if they had a stick up their butts, but for right now he needed them under control if they were to handle the next challenge in front of them. Thankfully Rhonan had picked up the fact that no animals were nearby, making Jaleer using the force to scan their surroundings, and a little while in front of them was a clearing where two life forms were. One didn't have a strong presence in the force, the other had though, and it was clearly tainted though she was not using the dark side, it had a powerful odor unmistakable for anything else. After realizing they would need to defeat if the Jedi wanted to establish a base here, the sage looked to his group a small band of Jedi, two padawans and two knights, clearly this wasn't going to go well but they will make this work.

"Good job Rhonan, I feel two life forms up ahead, one with the force another without, but it is clear one has the taint of the dark side, either this means Sith is irrelevant, they need to be taken out, if the Jedi are going to be allowed to have a base here. Though of course this doesn't mean killed, so lets focus on taking them alive if possible." Jaleer said hopefully getting everyone informed about what is to come, but now came time to deal with Tamara.

"Padawan Tamara, if you can not keep your emotions in check I suggest you stay put, we might be running into enemy territory and I am not going to let you put yourself into a dangerous situation unless you can keep yourself under control. You and Rhonan are going to have to stay back while me and Adun, go out and meet the enemy, if it comes to that. Hopefully they are just some pirates but we can never to sure." His voice had changed to once being carefree to serious, and it was clear he wasn't about to take any poodoo form no one, so unless Tamara wanted to risk death she needed to calm down.

"Alright you two make sure to keep your blaster ready, if the enemy is exposed take them down, but if you can do it without killing them that takes priority." Jaleer said signaling Adun to follow him, keeping low and taking out his lightsaber in case of a unexpected welcome.

Jaleer will head right till he had a visual on the base and signaled everyone to stop and pointed towards the small outpost which he could tell was going to be a challenge.

"Looks like we aren't alone." Jaleer said with his usual lay back voice.
