Alarm goes off as a rival gang want to take the current owner's base for themselves. A major shootout starts and William and Burkhart have to fight their way out of the compound, without getting caught in the crossfire by two rival gangs.

Everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong. Alarms have gotten off and although no one has actually seen Will and Burkhart yet, a lot of voices was closing in on their position. To Will's surprise, when the pirates showed up in the cargo area, they just kept on running for the exit, odd. Of course, both Mandalorians were hidden behind cover, but why else would the base be on high alert? Something was off. "Well, something seems to keep them occupied, we might as well get a move on," said Will with a lowered voice, in case any nosy pirates passed them. By their feet was a crate filled with thermal detonators, neither small enough for one person to carry, but still not big enough to make it impossible for two people to carry.

The crate had two leather robes like handles on each end of the crate with multiple labels on it. Interestingly enough, one of the labels, was a Sith Empire, describing the crate belonging to the Empire. The crate itself was made of really sturdy material, at least it felt like it could take some hits, before letting anything get through its case.

Will grabbed the back robe-handle and waited for Burkhart to grab the other end, so they could start moving out of this high-alert compound. "You cover the front, I cover the back" suggested Will as he put on his helmet again. Drawing one of his two "Strill" Blaster Pistol with the free hand, made Will ready to move out.

Half the words out of Burkhart's mouth were praises for the gods of Mandalore. The other half were curses becase any time he seemed to have good luck there was just enough bad to affirm his superstitious views. In his hand he held tight his light repeater but soon he would need to sling it since William had a plan of just carrying the crate out of the place between the two of them.

They had chosen to be sneaky yet for some reason the smuggler base was on high alert. Quickly Burkhart opened the crate just to verify their container held the cargo they were after. Promptly closing it he grabbed his VBL-11 blaster pistol and mirrored William.

He was glad he drew his blaster when he did because the two Mandalorians had barely taken a few steps when five guards entered the view of the mandalorians. Raising his pistol he double tapped two separate pirates with barred teeth. The falling body of one of them fell back into a third keeping him from entertaining a shot towards either of the Mandalorians.

Burkhart's going to try and shoot two of them as they come in (rousing success)

Will is not a man of belief, never has been. But with his luck in this situation, one would think he was being targeted by one. As Will opened fire at the remaining pirates in front of them, he not only missed the pirates but one of the blaster bolts hit a panel controlling the door between the Mandalorians and the 5 pirates. The door closing in front of Burkhart, Will and the pirates shutting off the two Mandalorian's original escape route off.

"Shab!"
Cursed Will and looked around for another way they could get out of this place. The only other place to get out was through that damn main gate of the damn storage room and that was not a place Will wanted them to particularly take. Not that they could see what happened passed the main exit out of the storage room, it was still clear that something bad was going down out there.

It sounded like hellfire outside, everything from blaster rifles and explosives to heavy cannon fire sounds met their ears. "New plan, we go through the farking main entrance, and keep our heads down" explained Will and made sure he had a tight grip on his side of the crate.

Lady luck, Hod Ha'ran, the farkin Force. Whatever it was called it did not seem to like the two daring Mandalorians. Blaster bolts wizzed past and pinked off various surfaces. Burkhart raised up and fired again at the visible pirates that were trapped in the storage unit with them to give them some cover. But the doors closed around them sealing off the side entrances that would have otherwise given them a decent escape away from the main opposition.

Hearing Williams suggestion Burkhart growled. "Fook tha!" Without saying anything else he pulled out his violator. The disruptor weapon was perfect for atomizing an enemy but also for making a good hole in a wall. This was not the first time the Field Marshal had done it. In fact it was how he had stolen a ship from some poor sod.

The wall where he figured had the least amount of enemies on the other side was atomized. The shot so powerful it blasted through and took out a few unlucky souls on the other side. But there was still three enemies that had a new hole in what had previously been a stable surface. It was big enough for the two Mandalorians to get through with the crate of thermal detonators but not much larger. It was going to be tough.

going to see if Burkhart's judgement on shot placement for an exit is good. Degree of success or failure will determine the number of enemies outside
(rousing success)
rolling to see number of enemies. 3 degrees of success on last roll so -4 enemies but rolling a 1d10 (7-4=3 enemies

Luck was indeed not with the two Mandalorians it seemed, first the blasted door, at now Will missing with his shots. The 3 pirates were quick to draw their blasters and drop behind cover, while fire through the hole at Will and Burkhart. Will tried to take the pirates out but got his shoulder pierced by a lucky shot, making him holler in pain and had to drop his blaster pistol due to the sudden pain and moved to the wall by the hole Burkhart made.

Fark, holstering the dropped gun and placing the crate down, he sat and tried to feel how bad the wound was. It wasn't critical, but still bad enough to send a lot of pain coursing through his shoulder and arm. Biting the pain back, he started to return fire at the three enemies, but without luck, all three pirates had some fairly good cover and the hole that Burkhart created, made it a death-zone for anyone to cross, without taking the three pirates out first or do something else to stop them from firing.

The three enemies on the other side that had not been outright killed were able to quickly turn things around. They must have not initially seen the large Kelborn Alor and instead saw red and white armored mandalorian. His armor certainly drew more of an eye than Burkhart's. A shot struck the man causing him to drop and scamble after a fallen blaster pistol before getting to cover.

Burkhart did not pick up the crate yet. Instead he readed his simple VBL-11 blaster pistol and took to cover for a moment. Some short exchange of shots before the Field Marshal was able to nail some of them with well placed shots as they risked popping out of cover. By the time the three had been dispatched some time had passed and the smoke and dust was settled. Burkhart looked over to William to make sure he was not hurt too badly.

let's see if burk can clean up the mess a bit

Still sitting on the floor with a hand to his shoulder with a wide smile, despite his shoulder injury. "Haha, I knew this would be fun" exclaimed the red-haired Mandalorian with a small hiss as if they were only playing a game. Getting up, Will started to look around the room for any sort of medical supplies or first aid boxes on the walls, but without luck.

So instead it sucked in the pain, went to the crate and took one of the handles and waited for Burkhart to take the other handle, so they could push through to self-made door, thanks to Burkhart. "Ahh, working through the pain!" commented Will with a grin. as they got through the man-made hole to the other room without much opposition, thanks to the major fighting elsewhere.

The new room was not much bigger than the last one, but instead of packed with crates, the new room had lines of beds. Not wasting time, Will takes a glance at the dead pirates, to see if they had anything on them along the line of first aid, but alas, no luck.

Burkhart waited for William to get himself sorted out. "You alright?" He asked while keeping an eye out for any other enemies that came to look at the localized commotion. He would not put it past them for more to come. A small fence was beyond the area which Burkhart took note of. The two of them would have to get past that with their cargo. "When weh get close enoof, we'll nead ta get past the fence. I cahn try to use my violator or one of the thermals unless ya got somethin better."

As he relayed the information another two guards came around the corner. Burkhart dropped to a knee and fired into each of them. The exchange with the previous enemies had left him with only a few shots left in his VBL-11. After landing well placed shots on both of the new arrivals he reflexively reloaded the weapon and made sure it was ready in the future.

"I've got a furst aid kit mate." The man said after watching William struggle to find one on his own. At least, that was what he assumed the fiery haired mandalorian was looking for. Pulling out the small pack he left it on top of the crate for the warrior. "Patch yerself oop quick like or else that injury'll be the least ov our worries."

See if Burkhart can defend against any reinforcements that come

"Never felt more alive" hissed William, but smiled like he had the best time of his life, despite the bleeding. "Let's leave with a bang" replied Will, tapping their loot with his foot while putting pressure on the wound with his free hand. Dropping down beside the crate and Burkhart, he still hoped to find some damn kit for his wound, but at last no luck.

Luckily his pal Burk, got him covered and gave him his, much to the fiery redhaired man's appreciation, as he started to remove the shoulder pieces to get into the wound. With a steady hand, he wrapped the bandage around the shoulder and wound till it was covered enough to put pressure and keep it from bleeding him to death. When that was done, he slowly equipped the shoulder piece on again, though it was a bit annoying to move with the bandage under.

"Alrighty, let's move, you lead, I follow," said William and nodded to Burkhart as a sign for them to get moving and get the hell out of this compound.

Will going to try and patch him up and keep the bleeding at bay (Success)

Burkhart waited patiently for the man to take care of his injury. It would have probably been wiser to just wait until they got to a safe place. Sitting around here was not a wise descision but neither was ignoring an injury. At the back of Burkhart's mind he felt like there was something else causing this ruckus so it would mean the weapon smugglers owning this base would not have their attention on just two mandalorians in their camp. There was another party in play.

When William finally got up the Field Marshal had already pulled out a flask of 100 proof alcohol and took a sip. He passed it over to the man who he knew would take a generous swig. They were already in the thick of it. Stowing anything unecessary Burkhart grabbed one end of the crate.

The two burly warriors lifted the crate. Had it been two other mandalorians they would have probably struggled to carry the crate in any semblance of swift movement. However the strength between the two of them allowed them to more or less run and jog with it.

Making a run for it as best they could, William and Burkhart made it all the way to the treeline with the crate before they were spotted. A few poorly aimed blaster shots hit trees to their side. They were officially running away now. The buggy was their next stop and from there, success.

avoiding fire, maybe even attention until they get to the treeline
