The Dark Jedi Crusader had been given a job and he would complete it. It was quite simple: scout a planet out for a possible site for a new outpost. It was a inhospitable planet, full of sandstorms and deserts. However, it contained large creatures that resembled worms. There were local beings, lizard-like creatures that were built for the deserts. Slaner didn't care. He was going to do his job.

He sat in the pilot seat of a small ship, capable of carrying up to seven Dark jedi at one time. It was empty, except for Slaner and his former acoltye, Aiden. while Slaner had been training people left and right, Aiden had slowly began his rise. He was near a Dark Master, and Slaner wondered. Would he be ousted by this young upstart? Slaner could only find out one way, and that is why he had set this mission up.

Aiden sat on the ship meditating in his seat. He wore his typical black light armour underneath his robes with both his curved-hilt lightsabers clipped to his red belt. Over his eye sockets was a silk red headband that covered up his empty eyesockets. The lightsaber of the Jedi he had killed during the assault on Coruscant was kept in a compartment inside his armour as well.

His former-master piloted the ship. Slaner had given him the scar on the palm of his hand, a mark of his promotion to Crusader. It was true there was talks of his promotion after all he had done for the Bogan as of late. He could have been more active as a trainer of Acolytes but was busy out fighting and gathering info.

"Are we nearly there yet?" Aiden said, breaking the silence on the ship.

"Yes, we are just entering a orbit. I'm scanning for a good set down place." Slaner sat there as the ship's computer did it's job. It spat out some co-ordinates that Slaner immediantly began to fly towards.

"How is the scar?" Slaner asked, completely emotionless.

"Oh its fine, healed all the way now and gives me a reminder of my training, just like my saber here does." Aiden said, a little more energy in his voice then his master's emtionless tone. He felt good, for once he wasn't sore from training or a previous mission and felt well rested and awake.

"Why are we visting this hell hole again?" He asked.

"Because," Slaner said as he landed the ship hard,"it could be a source of metals and other raw materials. And we could use another outpost for training and basicinformation." He didn't mention that the local species could be useful subjects of training and recruits.

"Shall we exit?" Slaner said, as he brought a little scarf to cover his mouth and nose with. He was wearing a one piece body suit that fit in with the local environment and had systems to hide his heat signature. His lightsaber was on a belt, and he had goggles coveirng his eyes. They too were technologically advice, with a small computer that had a scanners.

The wind was blasting sand across the desert as he exited, and he was glad to bring goggles.

Aiden stepped off the ship. A small windstorm seemed to be going on but it wouldn't bother him too much considering he did not have eyes for the sand to get into. He cracked his neck and tightened his red silk headband around his eyes as he walked alongside Slaner.

"Where to?" Aiden asked.

"We will first go towards the north; we've had reports that the native sentient life reside among them." The two started to walk, and the footsteps cleaved into the sand.

"How do you feel about you imminent promotion?"

Aiden kept walking through the sand. This would be a good area for a fight, very open where he could use his new form, Ataru.

"I'm an unsure how I feel to be honest. I gladly will accept it when it comes but I do not wish to rush my advancement, though I do feel I am ready or almost ready. For some time now, I haven't stopped moving. I'v been in constant training under Master Mirrik or out on missions, usually with him." Aiden said. It was true, he was Master Mirrik's shadow practically. However all the hard work had paid off in big leaps in Aidens talent both in the realm of combat and in the realm of stealth and the various other skills an Assassian need be skilled in.

"Good. That may be useful." Slaner took a couple steps then stopped. There was a large hill nearbye, made of stone. There was already a visible entrance in sight, but then a rumble came from the left. A great moving mound was approaching.

Aiden felt a large presence in the force, it was moving quite rapidly towards the pair of Crusaders. Aiden kept his hand near his more ornate saber and spun in the direction of whatever it was.

"Slaner, we are not alone." He said quickly and quietly.

"That large mound is a worm. So the reports are true...." Slaner kept moving, if at a quicker pace.

"Aiden, we must first distract it, one will be the bait. As soon as it homes in on that one, the other jumps and strikes. Then the bait will attack from below. What say you?"

Aiden stood thinking for a few seconds in the sand. The mound was rapidly approaching and Aiden needed to make his decision. He pulled his ornate, curved-hilt lightsaber into his right hand.

"I'll take bait. Distract it high and I'll tear out its innards. Lightning should do the trick for you." Aiden said to his old master. He tossed the blade back and forth between his two hands as he waited for his masters response and the large creatures attack. Standing still, Aiden allowed the Force to flow through his veins in preparation for using Force Speed.

Slaner nodded in agreement, then ran forward and jumped up, over the mound. The creatures had began their attack towards Aiden. But Slaner had them covered. He had jumped on top of the first one, stabbing down and then letting Force Lightening flow out of his arm into the creature. It screamed in pain and started to thrash, dying.

Slaner jumped off to the next one, which had just closed in onto Aiden.

((OOC: Sorry about the inactivity, had to train for a Muay Thai fight that is now cancelled and had school work to catch up on))

Aiden waited as the large mound raced towards him. With a burst of energy, the beast shot into the air and sprayed sand everywhere. Had Aiden had eyes he would have been rather disorientated by the buffeting from the sand particles. Aiden ignited his lightsaber as the worm launched into the air and would come down on him if he did not move. Using Force Jump and the Ataru techniques learned while training with Mirrk, he leapt into the air under the beast and used his lightsaber to stab foward up into it's center. The worm screeched out as Aiden pulled the plasma blade down, splitting the worm. Only the head remained in one piece as the corpse hit the sand with a thud.

Aiden severed the head to ensure his kill and waited for his old master to come to him. While waiting he put his saber back into its hidden place in his robes and tightened the silk red headband around where his eyes would be.
