The Doctor began to lumber forward toward Solari, her eyes burning with mindless rage, Nur the fuel, Nadela the tempering hammer. She was akin to a demon possessed, her head twitching and twisting in unnatural ways, her arms reared back as if ready to pounce on prey, her tentacles flailing wildly as she moved. She needed to make sure Nadela was ok, she was her only friend apart from Malthazar, she needed her to live. Her eyes peered over Solari and fell upon the Kolto Tank. Nadela was alive, good...good. As if seeing her calming the emotional maelstrom within, the tentacles began to recede and thin out, the last two reforming into weak noodle legs that collapsed quickly onto their knees. The hair softened and moisturized, becoming a smooth chocolate once again, as did her eyes, revealing the woman underneath.

She hobbled over to the readings the Kolto Tank was already gleaming from her mangled form. "Multiple lacerations, broken bones, blunt force trauma, severe upper spinal cord damage, op...optic nerves nonfunctional," She said, reading the results. She looked at Nadela, her crestfallen features easily conveying the sadness she felt. She would've put up her hand to the tank, but all she could manage was leveling her stumps against the tank. "Dammit...Solari, what do we have medical wise?" She asked, knowing she would recognize her voice.

The thing slithered closer, eyes clouded with mindless rage, and I tensed, ready to lash out -

But the beast turned its maddened eyes on Nadela, and a sort of calm washed over it. The tentacled lower half melted together into two standard humanoid legs, but weak and emaciated; even the bones seemed soft. The dried out hair thickened, gained body and color, and it - her - eyes changed to match.

It was the woman who had arrived with Malthazar, still with no hands. Fascinating. She can alter her entire form, but she cannot regenerate her hands. Was it because of the method of removal? Had Ryras done something more? Or was it fear of her reprisal...

My fear faded, replaced by curiosity, and I approached her as she hobbled over to the holographic screen that displayed the kolto tank's readout. When she spoke, her voice confirmed my suspicions. This was the Doctor (@TheBrokenMadMan). Not a friend, not yet, but certainly an ally.

She listed off all of Nadela's injuries, some of which were beyond kolto's abilities to repair. Nadela might very well be crippled. I watched the Doctor press one of her stumps to the dense glass of the kolto tank. Nadela's condition was causing her immense pain, even I could feel it.

"There isn't much here. Standard surgical tools, a few factory-model med droids. You want to operate?" Eye surgery was iffy, and I didn't have the technical know-how for it. Broken bones were one thing, and I had dug around in my fare share of insides - those of the living and the dead - but her organs weren't all that damaged, considering how hard she seemed to have struck the wall.

Alais was undeterred by the growl and the hostile aura that emanated from Ryras. Even then, she could tell the woman wasn’t stupid. She knew the odds were heavily stacked against her. She knew fighting inside the temple would only cause its destruction. Alais remained silent for a moment after she spoke, her own demeanor still calm, “I don’t intend to rule,” A smile slowly formed on her face, “I intend to lead. I intend to lead people that will follow me of their own volition, without chains to make them crawl on their knees, without the promises of punishment.”

She did not step back as Ryras stepped closer. Alais was much smaller than the woman, but she stood unflinching before her, “I am perfectly aware of who rises and who doesn’t. Remember, I had to fight to take over this very temple you stand in now,” Alais gestured all around her, “I did not forget who we are, because there is no concept of who we are. We are simply Exiles. We do not have a name of our own, an identity of our own. Every Warlord pursues their own agenda and no one works together. I intend to change that.”

Alais paused for a moment before she extended her hand out towards the Cathar, “You can join me in finally forging a new path for the Exiles, or you can hold onto your old ways and we can waste time being enemies amongst ourselves. Which will it be?”

Malthazar stood still, his feet planted into the ground. There was nothing for him to say, and even if there was, he was there only to provide Alais backup; there was no room in the conversation for whatever the Templar wanted to say.

He did not want to ally with the Warlord--it was impossible to know if and when she'd betray them--but it seemed as though Alais thought it to be a good idea. He'd stop to talk to her about that later. For now, Malthazar just wanted this conversation to end so that he may move on and go tend to the Doctor. There was also a strange blob prowling the halls, one that he wanted to get to know more about.

They'd been standing there for quite a bit, and the Shistavin still had not brought the hands. Malthazar could not help but wonder what was taking him so long or if he was going to bring them at all. The Templar knew he sure as hell wouldn't, so perhaps the Warlord would go hungry for a day. It was a nice thought.

The young Exile stood her ground as Ryras stepped forward, keeping calm, or at least projected calm for the Cathar Warlord to sense. Ryras couldn't disagree with Alais, but she also wasn't one to give the satisfaction to give someone the power of being right, that was until she offered her hand, inviting her to join Alais and her pack to unify them under one. It was true that the Warlords had their own agenda, she had her's much like Satara and Syresh had their's and it was clear that Alais had her own. However, Ryras knew if they continued as they were, the Jedi would regain favor with galactics and soon they could be locked into another century of fighting; time could no longer be wasted.

Ryras eyes relaxed and let out a long sigh as she reluctantly took Alais's tiny hand into her paw, "Very well." she said with a rolling 'r" in response. As much as she didn't like it, as change was never well received by anyone, perhaps some fresh blood was what the Exiles needed. Her golden eyes left Alais as they flickered to the rest who were with her, still feeling some tension from the one who was present earlier. It wouldn't bother the feline and even pondered if he would try to take things into his own hands knowing she had sided with his mentor, Alais. Internally she grinned deviously at the thought of him being more angered than previously.

"I will gather my Templars and we will ready for when the time calls for us to strike again." she told Alais, waiting for her response.

Nasuag was sitting just on the curve of a set of stairs out of eye sight but not out of hearing of the conversations of the group of exiles. Listening to the words of choice and direction of the Exiles versa the Jedi. Sighing seeing this is not going to come to blows Nasuag got up and moved down to the Medical ward. He was making sure that Halc was still doing well from injuries during the time he was on the run and the capture.

Letting Halc ride upon his shoulders they moved to the ward. Many times Nasuag had to duck and move on all fours so that he would fit through some doors. As they got near to the door he could feel Halc getting twitchily nervous. Taking the little aleen in arms he moved into the room seeing all the noise and chaos. Nasuag was truly concerned for those in the room but didn't want to become a bother. Watching the others he saw their nervousness as to the starkness of the med-ward.

Sitting Halc between his massive feet on a stool he began removing and cleaning the wounds that were on his back. The simple chlorine wash was used to eat at the loose hide. Taking a curet scraper he cleared off the hide that did not come off with the wash and the wiping of the wound. Repacking the wound Nasaug could tell that Halc was slowly getting use to the med-lab.

Halc slimbed upon Nasuag's back and held on with a fist full of fur in his little hands. The journey to the medical ward was short Halc never like these wards they reminded him of the year in the exile's lab ward during his time of torture. Remebering those time Halc started to shake in fear. The warm arms of the Shistavan were comforting and calming to Halc. In the ward the noise of beings talking and the echoing of pain and fear in the force made it harder for him to keep focus. Starting to sing to him to himself had often made the fear go away or be pushed off.

Nasuag had told him to do the things that kept his focus strong and sure so with this song running through his mind he was able to shield himself from the effects of the emotions swirling around the lab and the temple.

Halc allowed Nasuag to remove the wound patches and start to clean him. As the process of the cleaning of his wounds Halc started to radiate a peaceful calm in the force. The calm was soothing and inviting for all. The words of the song Halc started to sing out loud for all to hear in a voice filled with a broken heart and knowledge of the words. His right eye glowed with a peaceful energy while tears ran down his face from both eyes.
