Eithni was out scouting the vast canyon on Dathomir, where a lot of Rancors would use for either a passway to get from the great planes to the massive jungle. Other would also use it for hunting ground, but most males would do that as the females tend to keep to the jungle or plains.

The weather wasn't the best, and it had been worse the day before today. Eithni had to send a good chunk of yesterday in the pouring rain as she moved through the deep jungle of Dathomir. Now it wasn't raining, fortunately, but the clouds did not look promising and the minor fog creeping in was also a warning sign for Eithni.

The Dathomirian girl always liked coming to the Canyon of Rancors, ever since she was allowed to go hunting with her sisters. Though, the Matriarch always scolded Eithni for going to the canyon

Sitting on the edge, she dangles her legs over it and watches the bottom and follow to male Rancors fight it out over territory or kill. Either way, it was a violent and gruesome display and it made Eithni smile to see such ferocity of strength from nature show it's different colours within the animal kingdom.

Meanwhile, Keira was having one of the worst times of her life. She had been on a humanitarian mission, but her janky shuttle began to break down. The pilot made a quick diversion and they had to make for Dathomir. Keira, of course, knew very little about the planet. She had heard some legends or urban myths, and they all sounded unsettling.

Instead of a smooth landing, they ended up hurtling towards the surface, Keira screaming at the top of her lungs. The pilot managed to slow the descent enough to skid across the surface of a canyon and crashed into the side of a mountain. The pilot was knocked out...or dead, she had no idea. Blood had begun to trickle down the side of his face, and she was sure she was entirely alone.

Keira coughed as she made her way through the flickering lights of the ship. After a moment, she was thrown into pitch darkness and had to fumble her way to the exit ramp. She slammed her hand against the side panels a few times before the door hissed open, smoke rising up from the site of the crash.

She stepped back in to check on the pilot, confirming that he was indeed just knocked out. She could only apply quick first aid to him before she needed to go and get help. Keira stepped down the ramp and took in sight of the strange planet, hearing some noises in the distance that sounded like animals.

Of course, she had no clue that she was surrounded by rancors. She decided to wave her arms up and down, jumping and yelling at the top of her lungs, “HELP!! IS ANYBODY THERE? HELLOOOOOOOOO!!”

Suddenly, the rancors weren’t so interested in one another anymore….

Looking up at the red-coloured sky, the young witch watches a ship falling through the sky with roaring speed. Eithni heard the crash loud and clear, not being that far away. The problem was, Eithni wasn't the only one who heard the crash and... a voice? Now it really piqued her curiosity, both her and the large Rancors at the bottom. "Hm~ I better move fast, or the Rancors gonna find the ship first and whoever is shouting" commented the Dathomirian witch as her eyes followed the Rancors slowly walking towards the shouting and smoke rising into the air.

Moving swiftly on top of the canyon, jumping from platform to platform, she managed to outrun the hungry beast below. When she finally arrived, she could see the ship alright, and the person who was shouting. Eithni looked over her shoulder and could see the two Rancors closing in, maybe five or so minutes, before they would arrive. It was a bit difficult to see much details of the person, other than it was a female.

Eithni jumped off the pillar she stood on and landed safely on a lower platform, which gave her access to get all the way down to the area, where the crashed ship was located. As Eithni stealthily moved in on the ship and the yelling, she began to hear the low growling of the Rancors, trying to find where the shouting came from. The first Rancor came into view of Keira's line of sight before the Rancor noticed her. Then the second Rancor right after showed itself coming out in the open from a large pillar.

In the meantime, had Eithni managed to move in on the ship, coming in from Keira's blindspot. First, she quickly glanced into the ship, but there was nothing of note for her inside, so she turned towards the girl. However, before Eithni got to say anything, filled the canyon with a thundering roar from both Rancors as they have just noticed the Senator.

Keira would feel the heat of something for a short moment and then watch as a purple thin arrow-looking bolt flew right past her made out of plasma, hit the first Rancor dead on. Another arrow right after the other one flew right passed her again and then Eithni would walk up behind her with her The Schnee bow. "Hi! I take it you're the one who attracted the two Rancors, probably shouldn't have done that. You might as well put a sign over you that said come eat me" teased Eithni with oddly a very friendly tone towards Keira. Overall, Eithni came off as if they were having a normal conversation and didn't have two large hungry apac predators going for them both.

Keira was horrified when she heard the creatures rumbling, and she knew she messed up. She stopped her shouts and felt a cold sweat running down her neck. Whatever was coming towards her was big, and it would likely be large enough to eat her whole. She was completely unaware of her surroundings, rushing in to find a weapon.

By the time Eithni came up near her, she would find Keira holding a wrench for a weapon. She had it held up in front of her, trembling like mad and looking absurd with the weapon of choice. Keira didn’t notice her at all, but she screamed when the bolt rushed past her and towards the giant beasts.

Keira jumped when the woman spoke, turning to face her as she brandished her wrench, “G-Get back!” It took a moment to register that she was trying to help. The appearance of the girl was inhuman - white hair and blood red eyes. Keira wasn’t going to ask small talk questions in such a crisis.

“How do I get out of here?!” She rushed towards the girl who obviously had a more useful weapon, “They’re going to eat us!” Keira scrambled to run, hoping to have the girl point the way. However, she abruptly skidded to a stop, eyes wide.

“Wait! I can’t leave my pilot behind!” She helplessly looked around, looking between the girl and the remaining rancor fast approaching. The one that was hit collided with the ground and was wiggling around trying to get back up.

"Get back?" Asked Eithni and lowered her bow, looking confused at Keira for a just a moment. It was as if the Rancor didn't excited, despite it's roaring and fast approaching. A look of "oh right, the rancor!" got painted across Eithni's face as she turned back just in time to meet the Rancor face to face as it towered over both girls and fired another two arrows, hitting the last Rancor square in the face. Luckily, the second Rancor fell on it's back and laid just a few meters from Keira and Eithni.

"There, that should hold them for maybe 15 minutes or so, though not sure" explained Eithni, not really listening to what Keira said, as she had been focusing on the attacking Rancors. Now that there wasn't any danger as of right now, she turned back to face Keira only to be met with a frantic and panicking girl, a complete opposite to Eithni when danger came.

Looking around the canyon, "most likely climbing out" shrugged Eithni, "You could try and go the long way, but the chances of meeting more Rancors are high, it's mating season" stated the Nightsister and looked back at Keira. "Yea most likely, well, only if they get their hands on us!" added, kind of agreeing with Keira without realizing it. The mention of a pilot piqued her interest, "pilot?" Asked Eithni and went over to the opening of the ship to get a look inside, but too much smoke made it impossible to see anything inside.

"I don't think he's alive in there, Hello?! You alive pilotman?" Called Eithni into the interior of the ship and received no response. "Better leave now, before these to bulls get out of the paralysing effect or other rancors finds it" commented Eithni and stood and a bit beside the strange new girl. "Well, we better leave this area," said eithni out of a sudden and went around the ship and continued to walk beside the wall, looking for the best place to start climbing the side.

The witch stopped a bit further away from the crashed ship and if Keira still stood by the ship, she would call for her, if not Eithni would simply turn to face the foreign girl. "Here!" Smiled Eithni excited, "here is where we will climb out of the canyon!" explained the ruby-coloured girl with giddiness to her tone as if they were out having fun together.

If Eithni's words couldn't convince Keira to climb to unbelievable and unimaginable distance vertical up the canyon side, the sound of the two Rancors getting control over their bodies again, might. The first that got paralysed growled deeply annoyed as it got back up on its feet and at first tried to find Keira and Eithni, but the ship was much more of interest to it. Then the second Rancor got back up and saw that the first one tried to see what that smoky thing was and tried to take the smoky thing from the first one. That angered the first Rancor furiously and both Rancors ended up fighting a brutal fight again not more than a few hundred meters from where Keira and Eithni were standing.
